Strasburg Railroad, 89, 31 Easter Duology

- On Easter Sunday 2008 SRR 89 and 31 worked together to handle the holiday trains. I recorded this footage in 2008, but I've decided to share some of my home made railroad videos for the first time. This is the first one I've uploaded, I hope you enjoy it.

Hi, thanks for watching my video. 31 is actually a 0-6-0. She was Strasburg's first steam locomotive. Her last gig on the CN was as the shop switcher at the CN's Stratford Ontario shops. She has been out of service for a number of years and is in the middle of an overhaul. Because of her smaller size she generally ran more early or later in the year when the trains are shorter. She has always been a favorite of mine.

Thanks for teaching me something. I have been to Strasburg Railroad and have made some research of it but I didn't know they had 2 moguls from CN. I only thought it was just no 89. Great video and thanks for sharing this with us.

Strasburg was so close to have done a doubleheader especially since 7312 won't be returning but I'm still glad they still do doubleheaders and often triple from time to time

@@evanf1293 yes it will took the shop tour a few weeks ago they said they are working on it and its still on restroration but they havent done stuff on it yet
@@NSsd70accfan I know that but I still don't know why they want to bring her back even if she was the first steamer to run on the line when it became a tourist line.
@@evanf1293 yes that is true thats the exact reason they wanna bring her back is because she was thier first steam engine and to be with her sister 89 again

I think they should of just double headed to paradise and back like what 475 and 611 did last year the day before the events started.
Hi I was watching this older video when I noticed at 44:51 there was a certain whistle on the 89 which I haven’t heard before. Do you know what type of whistle it is and or where it is now?
