Lightly seasoned with fish sauce and quickly fried in shallow vegetable oil, these eggs have a unique flavor and texture that can only be achieved through deep frying. For a complete meal, serve them with a scoop of rice and spicy chili sauce. This dish is perfect for any time of day!

    INGREDIENTS (1 serving):
    2 large eggs
    ½ tsp fish sauce
    ½ cup canola oil or any vegetable oil (for cooking)
    ½ cup cooked rice
    Cilantro or basil leaves for garnish
    For the chili sauce:
    2 Tbsp sambal oelek (or sriracha sauce)
    ½ tsp soy sauce (or fish sauce)
    1 tsp honey (or syrup)
    1 Tbsp of lime juice (juice from half a lime)

    Can I use sirracha sauce instead of sambal oilek?

      Absolutely! Sriracha is a great substitute. Just slightly adjust the other ingredients to your taste for the perfect balance.

    Normally we eat with chili sauce / Sriracha sauce or fish sauce with lime, garlic and chili. Samble is not Thai sauce.
