So it just ended up sounding like a load of riffs & runs, with no emotional depth... a soul-less bag of vocal tricks. Whereas, Jennifer, SANG it! Her belting was on point, showing total vocal control, but you only think about the control AFTER she's she's stopped singing, NOT during, because she immersed in the song. She, didn't throw in any unnecessary riffs & runs, though we all know that she can do them easily & faultlessly. She sang only what was necessary for her to tell the story, & she still conveyed more emotion than all of the other singers!
Ariana sounds like an old classic, Beyonce sounds Majestic, Mariah sounds like she's in church, Jennifer sounds like a Broadway Star 😅❤ They all sounded beautiful
