Merry Christmas One and All Concert
You can tell Ariana was nervous. This is her first time in yearrsss being on stage in front of this many people since her last tour. I’m glad Mariah was able to pull this off. What a treat!
Maybe cus they didn’t rehearse this and it was also her first live performance with Mariah Carey 🥺
Also nervous cause she is singing with Mariah…. That must be intimidating as hell. Singing to One of the greatest voices and most accomplices vocalist on the planet- her idol!
This was not about the audience, this was Ariana performing live with one of her biggest idols. The media and "commentary of the room" would have led you to believe there was beef between these two, but nothing could be further. Ari loves and admires Mariah and the fact that Mariah picked her to be on a record shows the love is mutual. The fact that Mariah kept looking at her shows they have a great bond. This performance also shows that just like Mariah, Ari respects her idols and doesn't use the opportunity on stage to try to out sing them. She was being cute and reserved. This is such a wholesome full circle moment for two divas to share the stage.

Mariah has a history of having inconsistent vocals when singing live dating all the way back to the late 90’s. She can still sing, she just can’t deliver everything she can do in the studio on stage

Ugh I’m so proud of both, and not to mention Jennifer blessing this collab so much with her amazing touch of soul sounds and great vocals ugh, this Collab literally was made to be appreciated in every single way!

These are people with very busy schedules. We are just thankful to Mariah to have them on to perform this song live since the first recording and the show. They did well to just sing and not do any two steps. They are not a girls group, they are each icons. Can we just love and respect what we got?

Only Mariah could have that many missed cues, note changes, melody shifts, adlibs, and extra harmonies with her singing partners and still be labeled as a lipsyncer. Unreal. They all did amazing and tbh if you zoom in on Mariah’s face you can see the mic is on and there’s just a backing track. Like literally every singer when on stage.
Pretty sure most of it was lipped except random parts but Jhud and Ari definitely sang live. Nothing wrong with queen lipping. She's already proved to us what she can do. No one can top Mariah at her prime. Everybody even haters know it

This was a sweet present from the two of them for Mariah and all their respective fans. It takes work and commitment to schedule around 3 busy people's lives and individual projects to gather in one place just for a 4 minute appearance. And this was in New York, Mariah's home town, so just makes it even extra special. I'm sure Mariah was greatly appreciative of Jennifer and Ariana, her "2 Christmas angels!" 🥰
