  • Spotting trains during the evening and night hours. Many trains come to and from Hua Lamphong in Bangkok, Thailand stopping at this station on the Eastern line to exchange the single line Tokens. Trains heading inbound from Ban Plu Ta Luang via Chachoengsao will only pass the Tokens here because it is Centralized Traffic Control from here all the way to Hua Lamphong. For trains heading out to the east this is where they enter the Token Territory. The next station for the trains heading out east is Khlongtan after that is Ramkhamhaeng, and then Huamark where it becomes Centralized Traffic Control [CTC] again. Inside the signal box the signal man operates the Tablet Token machine or instrument. During the daylight the all clear green flags are used and during the night a special flashlight. Also many freight trains going to or from Klong Toey port pass through this station using the single line track on the otherside of the signal box where there is a level crossing. The Token bracket mounted on the apparatus or pole makes it more easier for the drivers to pick up the tokens. The bridge to the left of the station is the Suvarnabhumi airport link train. Train number 385 from Hua lamphong is heading out east at night. This line goes all the way to Aranyaprathet. The stations for trains going out east before Makkassan are Yommaraj Junction, Uropong and, Phaya Thai which is another easy transit to the Bangkok Skytrain [BTS].
