- I worried about money when my net worth was 0, when it was 100k, and when it got over 500k; it never stopped until I made one change in my mindset.

1. The wrong way to go about it
- I don’t know if it's just me, but whenever I get to worrying, my first initial reaction is to try to block those things out so I don’t have to think about it anymore ( basically ignore it )
- But that’s the wrong way to go about it
- Because you may ignore it, but the elephant is still in the room
This same concept applies when we procrastinate
- Task, you think about the discomfort of doing it, make excuses, get short-term rewards of ignoring it, and then you get long-term negative effects of never working on it
- So what I do these days, is the minute I get the itch to procrastinate and I get that trigger, I use the same trigger to get me to get action on whatever is i have to handle
- For example, if I just remembered i have to send an email but i start to want to procrastinate, i send that email in that very second to get that work over with fast
2. Take action : 3 simple steps
- control the flow of money, money comes in and money goes out
- Pay off the debt
- Save for emergencies
First:
- calculate your baseline budget
- And see how much money you actually need
- And cut out all things that you don’t
Second:
- use the remainder of the money to pay off your debt and clean up your bills
- Pay the debt with the highest interest rates
- To save more money
Third:
- once done with step 2, start saving up for an emergency account
- This way if things don’t turn out how you think, you can at least have 3-6 months to sort things out
Obviously: doing these steps will make you feel moreinn control, and less anxious about money but for me personally it doesn’t completely wiped out all the worries and I don’t think it is design to do that
3. What worked for me was this
- my theology on the person of God
- Theology is the study of God and your understanding of God
- So what I believe about God gave me peace when it comes to my finances
Yes:
- will keep managing my money
- And trying to make the best investment i possibly can
But I’ll do all those things know
- that everything belongs to God, so i should do my best to manage it appropriately
- And that God has promised to provide
- And if I believe in God, i should believe in his promises and that should wipe out those feelings
Here are two bible verses that help me with this
Matthew 6:26 ( God takes care of us )
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Matthew 25:14-30 ( the parable of the talents )

I think that’s the point of the verse though, whether you have alot or a little, if you lost it all God would still provide. So our hope is not in our circumstances bad or good, but in Christ who can take care of us in any circumstance ❤
Saying health insurance is a want is crazy.
lol it’s crazy but it is. However it’s a very important want, bare bone is the absolute necessity and you can live without insurance is the point.

lol nah 60 is crazy. But you can always get a high deductible plan
Cheaper and sets a limit on how much you’ll pay
