The seven-day week is remarkably consistent throughout history, despite lacking a single logical reason for its continuation. Whether barbaric or civilized, all cultures have adhered to this seven-day structure, even though months have been altered. This is a testament to the creation of the earth, where God created the earth in six days and rested on the seventh, and it stands as a reminder of His creation until eternity. If more people kept the Sabbath, they wouldn't be any doubt about God's existence exodus 20:8-11 I'm surprised on why a lot of people see it as a restriction, it's a blessing given to us by our creator and should be enjoyed in all it's glory And by the way this is the only commandment that if you teach people to keep they will consider you to be a cult leader

I have great respect for Marufu as a Seventh Day Adventist. We tend to argue and lose the plot when issues are being debated, but this forum has handled different views in a very mature manner. Well done and God bless you.
Iam following from Mozambique and l like the question Mr Dehwa yekuti how about today?? Matthew 24 ungada kupa reference in context not in text..... tiri kudzidza
After creation of everything God had first Sabbath with Adam and Eve. God blessed the Seventh day, and sanctified it, Adam was there already in the presence of God in the Spiritual form.
I do not disagree with going to church every week, neither do I disagree with the existence of the promise to enter into Sabbath day(rest). My questions are,; What did Jesus Christ imply by saying " I am the Lord of the Sabbath"? As Evangelist Marufu said, Jesus also advised us to keep His commandments, which commandments are they because as much as I can remember, He talks about two commandments. Kindly clarify on this concept as well. I remember reading that all the law is fulfilled in these two commandments. What was the implication of this statement?
I think the whole discussion took an unexpected turn because Apostle Marwa didn’t fully comprehend the fourth commandment. If the word Sabbath means rest, then the law is saying that you are to remember the rest day, and on that day you have been given specific instructions by God that you must do. The first instruction is you must remember. Back in primary school our headmaster used tell us every assembly day that we must remember the rules of the school which he taught us went we first got there in grade one. Now God is giving us the this instruction that we must remember the Rest day which he blessed after creation. The second instruction is you HAVE to keep the rest day holy. Why because God himself set aside this particular day were you do nothing but worship him. On this rest day you, your wife, your workers, not even your cattle shall do any work on the Rest day, why because God has set it as his day in which you must gather and worship him. Remember the first four commandments of God are about loving God, and the last six are about loving your neighbor, the golden rule. The third instruction is you must labour, and all your work has to be done from the first day to the sixth day. Comprehensively it is unfortunate to dismiss the weekly cycle and rest on the seventh day because simply it is the only commandment that God specifically ask that we remember!
15 Jehovha Mwari akatora munhu, akamuisa mumunda weEdheni, kuti aurime nokuuchengeta. Genesis 3...... Apostle murikuramba verse here kuti Adam airima Munda nekuuchengeta ozorora Sabbatha. There was no need for evening and morning on the 7th day because mwari haana kuramba achisika angaatopedza kusika and weekly cycle bvayatotanga ndosaka kusina day 8. Tinongodzokera futi totanga pa 1 until 7 kuitira kuti Adam azorore even though basa rake raisarwadza asi aitoshanda. Apostle I'm very disappointed and munototungamirira hwai dzamwari.
I don't disagree with going to church every week and neither do I disagree with the existence of the promise to enter into eternal Sabbath. However, I heard our Evangelist saying something about Jesus Christ advising us to keep His commandments. Which commandments are they, because as much as I can remember, I only heard Jesus Christ saying I leave with you two commandments and if you keep these commandments you shall in them fulfill the rest. If you love God with your whole heart, you will never miss an opportunity to fulfill His will, which includes going to church whenever any opportunity arises thus including on Sabbath day. Rigidity tends to be existing on the old covenant but the new covenant gave us freedom through Christ because rigidity(old covenant) focussed much on the things that are seen but New covenant focussed on Christ being the judge of all and He Himself assisting believers to fulfill the law which includes worshipping even on the Sabbath day. Additionally, there is another scripture that talks about " avoiding contentions or arguments about days or those who eat shall not blame those who do not eat. " I would love to hear your understanding of this topic along those lines as well.
@@user-ud9jk5zq6p but do you know the verse that says 'i have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. Matthew 5 vs 17. I encourage you to read the verse.
