Dubois deserves respect as well. Golata broke a bone in his face with Tyson and he quit, Dubois has a broken orbital bone and quit. They both did the right thing. Dubois will be champ in the future.
But right now, everyone must give Joyce huge credit. At his age a loss can screw his plans for years. But a loss for Dubois, no big deal. He is learning and improving and is so young. I'm excited for Joe, he is improving at an age people start getting worse. I hope he gets better fights soon. And his power is underrated.

Joyce is a lot better than people realise, he is underestimated and underrated. This won't be the last upset we will see from him, I for one will not be surprised if he wins a world title. All along I felt Dubois had bitten off more than he can chew.

I wasn't a fan either, his style always looked so clumsy, but he has improved without doubt and now I can see him being a guy that people will try to avoid, because he is an awkward opponent who will be difficult to beat cleanly. However seeing how he conducted himself and hearing him speak more, I have a lot of respect for him, seems a really decent guy.

He's likable because he is so smiley and upbeat. He has a personality. Dubois is the one who has a personality of a plank of wood (According to others) I very much like both Daniel and Joe.

Good Athlete, Respectful, Always in Shape and Applies himself to a game plan that suits his strengths. Joyce is going to provide a lot of good heavyweights very hard nights, and whilst not flashy he certainly has the tools to continue to win big fights.

Reminds me a bit of Foreman, the way he can take punishment and keep coming forward, Dubois hit him flush and it didn't do anything.
His style is very reminiscent of Foreman. May look clumsy and awkward to the casual watching but it's very effective. Very heavy handed and extremely accurate.

No mate. It was head movement that let him down. If he'd kept his head off the line he may have took it to a decision win. But that eye was bad and he's never experienced that sort of pain.

Can’t see uysk being able to hurt that chin, some improvements to be made after Delboy fight but the power isn’t going to blow up. Uysk’s engine and improvement through the rounds shouldn’t phase joe either as he doesn’t tire like most heavyweights. Tough to see a way that uysk gets the win, except backing up and tapping all 12. Joe more than enough chin just to close the gap on uysks hands when he needs to. Uysk felt derek’s power, and great performance as it was from delboy, Joe’s accuracy is levels above and when uysk is getting accurately and consistently hit with a natural heavyweight with big hands and extensive knowledge of the fight game it’s only going one way for me

Much respect to Joe. That was a gritty intelligent performance. He neutralised Daniel's power (and soaked up some powerful shots) and never let him get into his stride. I'm glad Daniel called it quits when he did. No sense in permanently damaging that eye. He'll be back.

Daniels eye is pretty ironic considering what he said about Joe's mum being blind...
Joe hs been underrated for a long time, probably because of the perception that he is slow. What a lot of people don't seem to realise (or maybe now they do) is that he makes up for any lack of hand speed by excellent timing and accuracy, he seems to pick the sweet moment to throw a punch when his opponent doesn't seem able to avoid or block it regardless of his hand speed. I believe it is because he is so relentless, his opponents are constantly kept busy and as they commit themselves to blocking or avoiding one shot, the next one is already coming in from a different angle. Together with his amazing punch resistance and solid chin, that also means that nobody gets to land a free shot on him without something coming straight back, which must be demoralising for an opponent, especially one who has always been known as a power puncher and KO artist, like Daniel Dubois. As for "DDD"... I think it became pretty clear in this fight that he was not ready to face someone of Joyce's experience and calibre, and his team have to take some responsibility for that. 23 is very young for a heavyweight to be competing at this level and the gap in top level experience showed. He should have had a couple more fights with the likes of Bryant Jennings before stepping in with someone like Joe Joyce, but at the age of 23 he has time on his side and will soon be back. Respect to both for taking this fight, it was a risk they didn't need to take but they did it for the fans and both deserve credit for that. I hope Daniel doesn't get any flak for taking the knee; he was never going to beat Joyce with one eye and if he had taken much more damage on that eye his career might have been at risk, at the age of 23. At least he now gets to fight another day.
I have always criticised Joes lack of movement, but he was exceptional against Daniel, i could not believe how agile he looked.
