In this press conference, nearly everything she said was a bald faced lie (“he can do the job”, “he’s not disabled”) or dissembling/cover-up (“he’s not taking any COLD medicine”, “I can’t speak to (sic) that”, “we released a health report recently”, “I can’t comment on every poll” etc). It is also true that in the debate Trump more or less constantly lied. Both these things are dreadful. We shouldn’t be supporting either. To have any hope in the election, the Dems need to get rid of him.

Just compare how much Trump team is explaining legal issues surrounding him and literally everything he says when challenged. Both teams are explaining things, true. Biden took a whole week to rest at Camp David to nap and prepare for a 90-minute debate which was totally on his terms including the time, date, place, and moderators with two breaks which never happens during breaks. He got everything he wanted other than he wanted to sit which was rejected. CNN gives Biden nothing but hugs and kisses. When I have a cold, even without medication, my head is so stuffed up and I can’t think straight and am slow in physical and verbal responses. It gets even worse as we age. My mouth hangs agape because I can’t breathe through my nose due to being so clogged up. So it doesn’t surprise me that Biden was like that at all.

The problem isn't that he's unable to read scripted remarks, it's that any time he's forced to actually do anything that requires even the smallest amount of mental capacity whatsoever, like answer questions he hasn't been fully prepped for with a canned answer, or talk off the cuff to donors or reporters or influencers, or make hard executive decisions, his brain just melts. The job of president is ENTIRELY composed of the latter, and how well someone can read prepared speeches doesn't matter at all.
