I've been putting off watching this episode since I saw the original thumbnail / title a few weeks ago. My Corgi has been having breathing / nasal issues, which we're still trying to diagnose and I'm so afraid of a similar story happening to her. I'm crying so hard right now. She's turning 8 years old next month and you and Gatsby were a major influence in me getting a Corgi. I'm so insanely sorry for you both and wish nothing but health and success. Please know that you have a huge community of support and love around you and that you and Gatsby have brought so much joy to people's lives, both from your videos and those lucky enough to meet you in person. Ryen, you got this just like the oncologist said you guys caught it early, and yes, Gatsby will be on medication, but the great thing is Gatsby will still have wonderful quality of life even on these medication’s. We love both you..
Gatsby is so fortunate to have you. Many people couldn't afford to get him the medical care that you can, also the community support. Your family has been wonderful too, its a blessing that few have. Never forget that your strength has helped him be strong and resilient.

I do hope that Gatsby’s second surgery rids him of this terrible nemesis called cancer. Stay strong Ryen. So many prayers and well wishes will be flooding your inbox and will get tons of phone texts. Love you both❤
Unfortunately his nasal cancer treatment with radiotherapy is not curative. It will stave off the cancer for the time being and hopefully buy him more time but it is eventually likely to recur and unlikely to be responsive to further radiotherapy the second time round since the nasal cancer cells that survive will have mutated to become radio-resistant.
By the sound of it, it has metastasised to his adrenals
Hi Ryan, I've been watching you since you first picked up Gatsby. My heart genuinely goes out to you and Gatsby. I just lost my dad recently and the truth is the pain never goes away . You just learn to live with it, but in that, you come to realize that we are all one and we are connected. So even if they are not there in the physical sense, they are truly with you because you are a part of them and they you. Love and blessings to you, brother.
My advice, Ryen, is to concentrate on the good. All the happy times you've had together and WILL HAVE together. Believe in Gatsby that he will come through this second surgery with flying colors. Yes, he will have to be on medication forever, but that's true for lots of people and animals as well. And we know that you will ensure Gatsby receives the medications he needs. And he will CONTINUE to have a good life. Gatsby's NOT throwing in the towel - he believes he'll continue to have years together with you. Believe in Gatsby's vision! I DO.
I want to give Gastby a good scratch on the back of his ears and tell him how brave and amazing he is.
There are so many difficult decisions in life that we have to make.
I will keep Gatsby in my prayers. Sweet Gatsby always have his bright smile on no matter what. I hope you guys will be out of the woods soon.

This is terrible news. I'm hoping everything will be alright, and I’m keeping you two in my thoughts and prayers for the best possible outcome! Despite the really upsetting news that the vlog began with, Ryen and Gatsby still made the most out of their time by having a very fun and productive day! Going on a walk, goofing around and laughing, Gatsby getting acupuncture, grocery shopping, going to the gym, and going out for dinner with some friends! Thank you for sharing your time and day with us Ryen! Ryen really demonstrates to us that even though life can be difficult at times and that it’s also okay to be sad, you should do your best not to let that ruin your entire day, week, or month! Stay strong you two! Especially you Gatsby! You need to continue keeping them Corgis On Fleek!
Hi Ryen and Gatsby!! I am currently writing this the night before me and my family are putting my dog down. We caught her cancer too late and made the decision to just give her the best life she can with her remaining time. Seeing Gatsby so happy and energetic is extremely comforting. It brings back nostalgia from when I first found your channel and watched nearly every video with you and Gatsby. So glad you caught the cancer early and hope everything goes smoothly!!
Edit: Okay so my dog got miraculous a lot better over night. I am convinced that seeing this video helped!
I started watching this channel when I was a kid. I am now 18 turning 19 this year and it almost feels like I grew up with Gatsby so seeing this is very sad. I wish you and Gatsby the best. Just remember that you are in our hearts.

Hi Ryen, my family dog, Marley, lived a great ten years after losing his adrenal hormones. The monthly shots and daily doses kept him feeling great and normal. Send you love ❤️

Our rescue Corgi needed monthly injections for Addison’s disease. He loved going to the vet for the extra attention and extra treats. Praying Gatsby’s surgery will go well and that the injections and daily meds will get back to full Gatsby mod again. I hope a closer vet can help with the monthly injections and med refills. That might help reduce your stress a little.
So sorry for the bad news Ryen. But you've got the best medical care available and your love for Gatsby will encourage him to be a fighter. Love from all of us for both of you.

I’m so sorry, we lost our Pug to lymphoma and then 2 months later we lost our beagle to lymphoma as well.
Both went to UCD vet hospital.
They provide excellent care. Hang in there, you have a whole team working for you. And I will be following and supporting you both!

This vlog had me in such a disarray of emotions. Gatsby, first of all… I can’t. This handsome prince of a puppy doesnt deserve this. The amount of love you give him is beyond admirable, Ryen. And the vlog itself was wonderful and fun to watch, from Gatsby’s excitement to Ryen’s gym and food tips (which I’ll be taking heavily into consideration), to sushi. This vlog literally had me on a rollercoaster. Ugh

My heart goes out to you. I too have received some challenging news about my doggy from UC Davis, and she too will likely have to undergo yet another surgery this summer.
