Alex, I love the fact that you asked for a full sized bead after finding the 3 wee seed beads, and then you got a beauty! And Gail, that lovely bit of chain you found looks like a medieval woman's chain belt...totally random thought, but that's what it looks like to me...a wonderful lark with the two of you, as always, thank you!

Great lot of finds, the brass chain you found is similar to one we used to make in a brass foundry l used to work at, it is for hanging large pictures from rails, or large ornamental lamps from ceilings, we used to make it in different sizes, the links are usually split at one end for ease of assembly / shortening / lengthening and shaped to an internal point with the links concave inside so they keep the split links closed

    I love Bonky wottles.
I love them, and am constantly horrified at the fact that Parker’s in your country don’t take them!
Please take them,I will purchase any that you find!
    The whiteheart bead.
    Lovely.
I think they are formally referred to as Cornaline D’Aleppo beads, cherished in the trade bead world by native Americans.
    Interesting story:
Louis and Clark, set out for the unexplored west.
They brought chestfulls of beads,in anticipation of first contact with unknown tribes.
Most were the whiteheart variety(I own 2,probably from this very expedition),and pure white, and a relatively small amount of light blues, padres, and whatnot.
It turned out, that the native people of the Great Plains, they were not particularly interested in the red or white beads!
    NO!
They cherished the light blue beads, sky beads, the color of the big sky!
They went on to be named chiefs beads, because of their rarity, only the head honchos would posess them.
I have a strand of cod marble sized sky beads from mid 19th century, they literally give a sensation from head to foot, when you place them around your neck.

Hello you two! All the amazing treasures you found today make it impossible to choose a favorite.
I did notice a couple of item you might not have seen. There’s nothing you can do about it now, anyway. As you said, you can’t see everything.
At 1:46, in the lower right hand side of the screen, just under a lumpy crescent shape tan rock, I saw what looks to be a bottom corner of a chunky blue poison bottle, which was likely broken, so maybe you did see it and just moved on.
At 41:58, at the top center of the screen there was a lovely piece embossed sheet glass in a lovely amber shade. It’s sitting on top of a black flat surface so it’s easy to see how you could miss it.
And earlier in the video, I saw Alex pick up a little melted clear yellow glass bottle. I wasn’t certain, but I heard Alex referring to her wonky bottle collection. At least, that’s what she meant to say.
I had to play the video back to hear it again just to check my hearing and sanity. I am very detail oriented by nature.
Sure enough, it came out as her Bonky Wattle collection! Too funny!
I’ve come out with some unintentional tongue twisters myself over the years, so you are not unique nor alone!
I think I was commenting about a new construction site going up next to my childhood friend’s apartment. Unlike today, they used real wood beams.
Any way I was trying to say how I enjoyed the smell of freshly cut lumber and it came out all jumbled! I was shocked that even came out of my mouth (I can’t remember exactly what I said, but it had my friend in stitches!). So embarrassing!
Anyway, oversights and imperfection we all have no shortage of, and I’m no exception! Keep up the great videos, I loved every bit you found.

@@NorthernMudlarksThe business of trying to melt UV glass crossed my mind too. To properly contain the fumes and such is a major undertaking. You’re better off sticking to “extant” uranium beads.
I did have a strand of lovely light green crystal faceted beads, and I wanted to wear them, but the thought of having something slightly (?) radioactive right against my chest made me nervous, so I sold it.

That multi colored bead or the dark code marble would be cool for the window.

I like the large bottle stopper of clear glass. I also like the large link chain.

Love the “black” cod marble and the big glass stopper. Love your river larking.
