My pops worked in level 4 laboratory for over 10 years. The substances they worked on were so dangerous that if you step on an ampule in the room , the death occcures in 1,5 seconds.....and basically all compounds were very deadly, but the pathogens used by Iraqi forces were like anthrax , smallpox etc. Heavy doses of doxicycline can take care of it in 80% cases.

Russia knows everythings is going on because of the "right to know" and the "news" telling everything they do and every move. The news channel needs to block important infomarion the competition between them on who knows more is doing more bad than good. Reality is that arming civilians makes them enemy combatants under international law, and if civilians fire against Russian tanks from apartments then it is not unlawful for Russian tanks to return fire on apartments. In most cases Russia will fire on civilian buildings without having been fired on, but unfortunately it gives Russia a legal out, just as it gave the US an out in Iraq. Neither the US nor Russia recognise the International Criminal Court - this is what you get.

Tomahawk cruise missiles have the same sort of range. The takeaway here is not the missile's range, it's the fact that Putin is willing to use these extremely expensive weapons to try to turn around this war he's losing, and the fact that the Russian military hasn't achieved air superiority so that they can use much less expensive weapons instead.
Distance isn't what makes it impressive. You know we have ICBMs that launch hundreds of nukes and travel tens of thousands of miles. This weapon is "allegedly capable" of bypassing US missile-defense systems.

China, U.S., & Russia have all successfully hit targets in orbit. We all have targeting systems that use AI software aided with GPS or GLONASS for accuracy. We all have the capability to put a missile through a particular window in a building and make necessary flight adjustments for moving targets. The same basic software that can drive a car is the same basic autopilot software to fly a missile. Your cell phone has all the computing power required.

What won't be talked about is how these hypersonic missiles also make aircraft carriers obsolete. In fact, regular missiles also have that effect, this just makes it more obvious. The U.S. has spent hundreds of billions on their carriers and many billions alone on developing anti-missile defenses that have trouble stopping regular missiles. They would have no hope against hypersonic missiles. The U.S. Naval carriers, and much of their naval fleet are just floating targets.

A few theories in why Russia used a hypersonic missile. #1 - they are running low on other types of missiles to use. #2 - the target was hardened and the Russians wanted to be sure the missile penetrated. #3 - Russia wanted to wave its wang around and show others (read USA) how powerful they are because they used a hypersonic missile, or scare the Ukranians that they can destroy what ever bunker their president is in. Take your choice or mix and match as you please. No matter how you slice it, that had to be one expensive missile shot and while it took out the bunker, it took out a single bunker which may not have even had much of anything in it, as we are almost a month in and it should have been something that was hit on day 1.

It was an ammunition depot with lots of rounds and missles. There is probably lots of air defense there which could knock out conventional missiles which is probably why they used one hypersonic one instead of launching 20-30 in hopes of accomplishing the same goal

Arming your civilians to fight the second strongest standing military without air support is not a smart idea. We are living in the 21st century now. Standing armies have enough arsenal to level a metropolitan size city without even being near that location. The Russian army is not advancing as fast as they expected but they are still advancing. To be honest, they haven’t even use their whole air force yet. Just imagine once they fully launch their whole air force over the sky. We all know how this will end. Sad, but true, Russia’s army will win this war and that is the honest truth no matter how you like it.
