Only "big" problem left in my opinion is the z-fighting (flickering) in hardware mode. Some games require more depth precision and I think that's impossible with modern GPUs. Quake 3 is a good example of this but it doesn't affect all games.
@@Manic_Panic yeah that's never happening, only the highest of the highest end compute cards support FP64 like the H100 or AMD mi300 support FP64 nowadays. Maybe with Blackwell we could see it on consumer cards, but I'm guessing Nvidia is disabling that functionality on the die.
The latest Citra MMJ version runs games at a cooler temperature on my Android phone. Ever Oasis caused the temp to reach 42 C° in Lime3DS and MMJ's October version, but it now works at 37~39C°, I don't know what Weihuoya did, but I'm thankful for that.
At this point I'm waiting to see which 3DS emulator is going to reign supreme. It doesn't seem like the big N is particularly interested in stomping Citra forks out, or at least lack a smoking gun to do it with.
I still just have regular Citra. Sure, it's not being maintained but nothing is stopping me from keeping it installed lol. Funny enough I was able to update it on my Steam Deck even after the discontinuation. No such luck on my desktop version though. Eh, that's ok. I haven't been using it much lately.
It's on the roadmap but right now there are other issues such as the Mii avatar API being shutdown by Nintendo which Pretendo still used, thus creating new accounts right now is impossible.

I snatched them all for the first time (35 years old now) on some Epic Sale that was like dirt cheap, I think like $35 for all. It's weird, I am playing KH2 right now and I don't even think it's meme worthy, their biggest sin is that they're extraordinarily boring (so far). They get drug out like marionette puppets and whine the word friendship and heartless and then repeat that static stare fest for like 40 hrs. I don't.. hate them? I am enjoying this. It's just shocking how dry they are.
hell yeah, some awesome news for 3ds lovers like me! i just installed lime3ds, and it works pretty amazingly so far! as for pretendo, i LOVE pretendo, i'll probably be uploading lots of mario maker levels once i get home. i gotta try out this new streetpass thingy too, its amazing
@IntrovertSinceBirth where you heard that at? Enhanced is made by the same dev who was accused of taking code from pablo with lemonade. Also enhanced seems ok but it's not stabile like lime or pablo on android. I can easily get it to crash with fast forward. At first it'll see smooth but it's been more laggy than those two with the latest r19 drivers.
It is a cool coincidence that I am playing Kingdom Hearts for the first time this year now that the PC version is about to come out. I'm playing the PS2 version on Batocera and I am enjoying that version so I don't see a need to get the new version, but it is still pretty cool that I will be playing the retro version at the same time as other people will be playing the PC version.

There is definitely a place for self hosted game streaming. Sunshine is a fork of GameStream that too works with Radeon and probably ARC and being not dependent on a (American) company makes me happy, for both privacy and latency reasons. Also glad more Citra forks receive Arctic Base support. That thing made me enjoy 3DS emulation now a lot more.
Re Netris: as a Dad with gamer kids, yes I'm very interested in getting my old PC up and running so they can play their Steam games on any browser. This plus the new Steam Families sounds amazing!!
Why does no one ever talk about Parsec when it comes to streaming your own games? Just setup a frontend on your PC, download Parsec on your PC and w/e other device (Laptop, Phone, Odin handled, etc) Then you can access your entire library like it's a game console, on anything, from anywhere.
I mean, parsec hasn't yet developed hosting support for linux, only connecting support. Netris and Sunshine + Moonlight can host. Like, even if you don't care about linux which is understandable (at least till Copilot AI gets forced on people) people who are passionate about open source things tend to talk about the stuff that works on open platforms.
Zeebo emulation is worth checking out just for the amazing Double Dragon port that is exclusive to it. It’s considered the best ‘port’ of the first double dragon. Although, the only common thing between this port and the original is story. The fighting system has significant differences.
Somthing to note about my specs at 3:17 the game cant use most of my CPU and that causes GPU bottnecking so I run games way slower then cheaper PCs this is a Development system so chances are on a real gaming PC performance will be better then what you see
That PS2 acolyte program.. would be awesome if it could also recomplue games for ps2 to PC similar to the N64 recompiler.. the more of these apps we get the better it will be for game emulation and preservation..
When I tried allowing system permissions on the android version of lime 3ds it just crashes when I try to set the home directory any ways to fix this issue?
Even though MK1 was an ugly port, it was super impressive that it functioned at all on Switch, not to mention they got it running at a solid 60FPS. It's just the hardware limitations that dumbed down the graphics.
I have a problem with pcsx2 and emulator when I try to update it, it gives me an error saying failed to open update.7z. Anyone has any solutions please?
Its bad at released but after few patch, there is improvement. its seem like they not have enough time to iron out the port and Warner Bros Games just want MK1 on switch as soon as possible even if they run like shit.
I'm a bit salty about the KH thing right now. I "acquired" the full Kingdom Hearts series and started a playthrough last year, and when I did so I said "watch, I'ma do all this and it will finally be on Steam within like a year", I was only off by like 2 months. Now I only have 2 worlds left in KH3 and I'm going to have to replay all of the games for the Steam Achievements... 😫 (after they finish assaulting my wallet of course)

Pablomk7 and lime with r19 driver seem pretty smooth idk about long term stability i think a32 adreno is the stabile driver but it's a bit more laggy. I'd say both are about the best. Enhanced is ok but it's a bit wierd sometimes it's smoother than both but i wouldn't say it's too stabile especially fast forwarded. do maybe just those two but yes confusing as hell. Mmj is laggy as hell on the newest update.

I rather it be really stabile and smooth than be studdery. There's also panda3ds which looks good but idk if that will ever come to android as it's barely still newish for pc. There was a very accurate one that I can't find that much info on called corgi3ds. It was basically a dumped 3ds os and everything. Was dam near a 3ds lol. Not to sure if it needed too much power either. Being honest tho the available options I've had crashes on all pablo, lime and enhanced. But as I said not with adreno 32 I haven't had one crash on any of them. R19 is such a smooth driver and I had to get it privately from a discord server but as smooth as it is it still crashes eventually. It sucks because 3ds is arm just like android and switch! I wish there was a native code execution for 3ds like there is for switch. 3ds would never lag even at 10x res. I already tried 10x on my s24 ultra and it was running fine outside of battles in pokemon x. In battle dipped to 25 out of 30fps. Still not bad!

Well if the Unisoc Quad-core Tiger T310 can play some PS2 games with decent speeds using AetherSX 2 then I'd imagine even an old iPhone X could run PS2.
Native games is different from emulation, emulation demands more CPU and GPU power compare to native games. So, im my opinion iPhone 15 Proax can't handle PS3 emulation

That shit is bi polar. Sometimes it seems smoother than lime and pablo and sometimes not. I think they hack it up too much lime and pablo are usually smoother with a good driver. Especially more stabile.
Kingdom Hearts is great that it comes to Steam only problem is if they make it steam deck compatible if not then for me it is useless as that’s one of the devices that I play on when not at home.
A YT premiere for a Steam Announcement Trailer? How does this work :D The whole reason of that trailer is to announce it comming to Steam, which is already announced in the title of the video that cannot be watched yet. It makes the trailer itself pretty irrelevant. It's also not like a Steam release could have any noteworthy features that could be announced as most Steam features are not game-specific, so all the features we're getting with the Steam release - while great - are not worth an announcement as they are self explanatory by the fact it's getting a Steam release. A Workshop would be one thing but I doubt Square Enix is suddenly interested in Steam workshop, especially with a game with Disney IPs in it. Steam Trading Cards (and corresponding profile backgrounds and emoticons) aren't worth an announcement trailer either.

Nintendo literally survive on their IPs alone.. their main titles always sold a gangbuster even on WiiU.. but 3rd party not have the same treatment. from my perspective, it seem they want Shiver to port other games on their platform given Shiver whatever resources they need to make quality port or perhaps only PC, not Xbox or Playstation..

I knew that the Kingdoms Hearts games would come to Steam eventually. I refuse to buy on Epic. It pays having a huge backlog to pass the time.

Man, maybe your HDD is broken. Just try to check it with CDI. I had this kind of problem before. But mine was only appear when i tried to auto update.
Had this issue once. You have to execute a different exe file that's it your pcsx2 folder. Not the old one. Try the one labeled QT

When I close Citra Enhanced, it always says Lemonade at the top, which might mean that Citra Enhanced is based on Lemonade.

A YT premiere for a Steam Announcement Trailer? How does this work :D The whole reason of that trailer is to announce it comming to Steam, which is already announced in the title of the video that cannot be watched yet. It makes the trailer itself pretty irrelevant. It's also not like a Steam release could have any noteworthy features that could be announced as most Steam features are not game-specific, so all the features we're getting with the Steam release - while great - are not worth an announcement as they are self explanatory by the fact it's getting a Steam release. A Workshop would be one thing but I doubt Square Enix is suddenly interested in Steam workshop, especially with a game with Disney IPs in it. Steam Trading Cards (and corresponding profile backgrounds and emoticons) aren't worth an announcement trailer either.
Just reporting. Citra-Enhanced 1.2.0 crashes on me, Citra-Enhanced 1.1.0 does not.
Same I’ve tried both the installer and the windows plug in and everytime i try to boot up Pokémon it loads but then just stops the application I was able to go back to the previous version but damn
They both have crashed on me before. Pablos and lime did on older ones but it also depends on the driver which tends to be the reason.

Nintendo can't survive on their IP alone. So, i guess they want to port games from PS5 and steam.
Nintendo literally survive on their IPs alone.. their main titles always sold a gangbuster even on WiiU.. but 3rd party not have the same treatment.
from my perspective, it seem they want Shiver to port other games on their platform given Shiver whatever resources they need to make quality port or perhaps only PC, not Xbox or Playstation..
They are so many people hating on Nintendo because they are actively defending their copyrighted material.
Disagree, Nintendo needs to do different things for sure, but PS titles aren’t going to do it. 🍻
@@tonyrosario1940 They're "stealing" some of PS5 and steam market. Imagine if you're playing PS5 and PC games on Switch 2. Very appealing. Like Apple who finally allowed emulator on their appstore, Nintendo have to change their business plan too.
