Bro I didn’t realise she was harder in the surface jungle, I struggled so much in master mode when I fought her, I still won though, I had 20 defence as well 😂😂

I killed her solo on normal but i had 43 defens i didnt even drop bellow 150

It really is an extremely useful mount, particularly now that we have pylons and don't need to use a fast mount to just get around the world.

Thank you for this guide! I started game three days ago for the first time, and already loving it, but it is pretty overwhelming. Thanks to you I have a not shoe box base, few NPCs, and first pylon. If you're interested I have couple of thoughts from struggling beginner:
-The controls on the mobile are confusing. I was getting crazy trying to build a staircase for an hour, and after wanting to smash my phone I found out about this smart cursor thingy xD And I still don't know how to use auto select, it looks like I'm missing third thumb. Maybe you could make some short tutorial abut this for dummies? I know it's probably obvious for most players, but I think many might bounce back from the game because there is so many different options and it's hard to tell what to choose when you don't know how to play yet.
-Money. How to earn it? Im afraid to sell ores or gems coz I think I will need everything in the future. I know we can sell animals or food, but is there something worth investing time in the beginning to make a coin? Fishing, planting gems, gardening?
-Fishing guide would be nice too, I've read I can find nice loot in the oasis crates, but I don't have an oasis in my dessert.
-Maybe you could make some little features guide? I mean things that are easy to miss in the begging. For example I created many worlds just to find one with the background I like, then I learned about world globe xD I also would not figure out we can shake trees with axe for wands. I'm wondering what else is there :)
-Corruption. How does it work? I have corruption not that far from world spawn, but I like building, and it takes a lot of time. Now I'm afraid If I spend too much time building it will come to my base and destroy it. Is it possible? Should I prepare? I know there is some cleantaminator thingy, but I've read it's better to prepare. Should I start now, or is something to thing about in the end?
I know probably answers for my questions are in the wiki, but I've read dozens of pages and still learned more from your movies :) Problem with wiki is you must know what to look for, and new players don't :)

Weird - for some reason this just now showed up in my "Held for review" section of comments. Hope you didn't feel ignored - but I blame CZcams!
Mobile Controls - I've honestly never played Terraria on Mobile, and don't have the set-up to do mobile specific videos. Maybe someday I'll cover it, but for question like that, Reddit or other forums is generally a good place to get specific tips.
Money - For the most part, just playing the game generally gives you plenty of money. Events like Goblin Invasions can also be farmed for additional coin. Someday I might do a video about crafting stuff to turn a bigger profit, but currently the only one I ever do (and even then not very often) is converting gems (especially the low-tier ones like Amethyst) into stain glass window panes.
Fishing - YES! I do need to make a guide on fishing. It's on my list!! There are water duplication methods you can use (just google it) that allows you to make a large enough body of water for fishing just about anywhere, so if you don't have a good pool for desert fishing, you can just make one!
Tips Guide - also a good idea!!
Corruption - That will actually be covered in a pre-paring for hard mode guide that will be coming out in the next month or three. For the most part though you generally don't need to worry about it. Just plant some sunflowers well outside the area you want to protect to stop surface grass spread, but beyond grass spread that there generally isn't enough corruptible blocks for it spread much in the surface layers, and there are ways to clean areas up if it does i.e. clentaminator.

In Terraria there are about 100 ways to skin any given cat!
I just fought the queen bee for the first time and I found that if I stayed on my tiny island between two giant pools of honey, that the fight was quite easy. I just used the Blue Moon flail to deflect the bees, and then attack with the diamond staff/space gun. It was a fun fight and I managed to get all three items with only 3 fights! Overall, if you have the life regen band and you use the honey, you should be safe.

... I thought that you just need to kill the boss without preparing an arena and leave if you kill the boss or die... so that's why i keep on dying... I'm glad i found this. Thanks Salendrak!

Extra tip: if you lock on to the boss by using (L) you can fire a gun without having to aim and it will help you get more hits on the boss therefore dealing more damage 👍

Hey advice: for this boss bring spike balls for her dash attack. They linger on solid blocks.
You can get them from the goblin invasion or goblin tinkerer.

Beenades on Wall of Flesh along with Hive Pack should work well! Just make a REALLY long runway (or use waterwalking potion) in the underworld and it's not too bad!

Yup! Sneeze too close and those things will break too! Not sure about the zoom - might have to do with screen resolution?
Those larvae will break under ANYTHING: even spawning on them will make them break!

8:05 honestly they should give her a special item if you manage to defeat her when above ground, just like empress of light does when you fight it during day time. The fight will be harder but with a special item it could be worth it....

For bee queen you need beequeeper hats,football helmets and pierogies. and maybe pan flutes.

Omg I kept trying to fight her at my home base in the surface forest. I'm playing expert mode so I assumed this was just the level of difficulty I would have to get use to. Then I watched your video and realized that your queen bee was charging a hella lot slower lmao

I usually max pre-hardmode health by the time I fight the Queen Bee, but you can certainly do it with less. As for gear, I'm pretty sure that was covered in the video...
3:00 Queen Bee can also spawn anywhere in jungle biome, and she still chases us outside jungle biome or even backing home, she still follow us at last.
Yup - if you manually spawn her using the Abeemination, you can spawn here anywhere in the jungle.

Per the wiki, it's a Master Mode only drop. Not sure if it comes directly from the queen or is contained in the loot bag though...
If you have phoenix blaster with meteor bullets, necro Armor and a couple potions you can face tank queen in expert

It sucks that the spinal tap doesn’t exist on Consol and the obsidian armor does not have the same affect or set bonus

I might have sorta already beat queen bee. Pretty easy with mini shark and double jump. Edit: yeah I am a ranger. And I have an endless quiver and musket ball pouch. Imagine if you could make an infinite holy arrow pouch. Edit: I literally found this after watching that Chinese guy name and the seven rings with some family so today is awesome.

What about the Magic Missile if you explored the Dungeon? It deals alot of dmg and can chase anything like the Bees.
I find it to be pretty mana hungry for bossfights, but give it a go and see how you like it!

Do you know how I can upgrade my defense more? I got the molten armor set and I’m still around 29
Ironskin Potion, re-roll your accessory mods to Warding, and food buffs are the standard ways. If you're in a fighting arena, Bast statues can be used. Also don't forgot about other aspects of survivability, like life regen, damage reduction (endurance potion) and speed boosters.
@@salendrak thanks a lot! I didn’t think you could reroll accessories, that’s such a great upgrade! I have both a campfire and the bast statue in my arena, but I didn’t think about using potions.
I've got the meteorite armor and yet I don't seem to have even close to 30 protection. What am I doing wrong? Is there a better armor set?
Reforge a few accessories to Warding - that'll boost your defense fast! Ironskin potions and bast statues also help.
how do i get evil armor and such, by the time i get to bee queen i only found platinum, crimtame and diamonds as the best to build my gear
You'll need to kill the Eye of Cthulhu or your evil biome boss to get evil ore, which will also give you a strong enough pickaxe to mine it as well as meteor and hellstone ore.
@@salendrak evil biome boss? i killed brain boss on first try and could make new gear on his tissue, but dont know about evil ore. still cant kill the bee even tho the guide show me to kill her before him, i made an arena, honey floor, defense statue, potions, best gear i find/create so far.. i must be really bad player bc i dont understand how is this boss 20 times harder than a boss than comes after this one

@@salendrak Yeah i defeated eater of worlds and got so much demonite ore If you dont know what demonite ores are Its basically a evil ore since you see the word called “Demon” Even i got 15 demonite bars and i could craft the demonite helmet

i watched like 3 minutes of this but couldnt watch the whole thing, and so i joined my terraria world later and accidentally broke a larvae, and the queen bee spawned, and so i freaked out but absolutely destroyed her as there was honey at the bottom so i could regen, i had full crimson armor and the muramasa, and intrepid sandstone in a bottle

Edit: somehow spawned the queen bee Boss when I broke in a hive the 1st hive I found but killed it
Oh, I've accidentally broken plenty of larva in my time playing the game. Funniest was in the Drunk World seed, where the hives are extra big and have several larva in each hive. Suffice to say, I had multiple Queens at the same time!
Im so confused, when i try to summon queen bee nothing happens. At all. The noise plays but nothing happens. Help? (The squeek thing with the abeemation)

Have you seen my early-game gearing video? That combined with the gear recommendations in each boss video should cover just about everything. For more detailed information about crafting or where/how to get items, I would suggest checking the wiki. Going into too much detail about that stuff in each video would start to get really redundant.

I haven't personally used that weapon much, but have heard good things about it. Give it a try, see if you like it!

Assuming you've killed the Eye of Cthulhu already, you can pretty much do whatever you want at this point. Queen Bee, Skeletron, King Slime if you haven't already. Maybe start doing the Old One's Army, or otherwise just keep exploring your world!

This reminds me of the one time I found a singular Queen Bee spawn while mining, I fought it multiple times before and it wasn't that bad, so I geared and potioned up and shot the spawner. I was then greeted with "The Queen Bee has awoken"... times 3. I thought it was a glitch until I git blitzkrieged by 3 giant bees 💀
Odd!! The only time I've accidentally gotten multiple queens at once was in a Drunk World seed, where the hives are extra large with lots of larvae, often buried in deep honey pools. Count yourself lucky? 😆

If you're on classic difficulty you really don't need much in the way of preparation, but on higher difficulties it definitely helps!

Are you supposed to kill her after world eater for the demonite pickaxe?
I typically do that, but honestly, you can technically kill the pre-hardmode bosses in any order. Difficulty-wise it generally goes Eye of Cthulhu, Evil Biome Boss (Eater or Brain), then probably Queen Bee, Skeletron, mixing in King Slime whenever.
@@salendrak did you cap hp before her too? Lol learned today meteorites drop when you break world eater orb or kill him etc. It does feel like that's the way to go lol
@@nhifuu Usually, but it really just depends on if I've found enough hearts by the time I make it down into the jungle. That said, there are LOTS of hearts in the jungle anyways!

Bee Queen is basically the best boss to rush to on higher difficulties for her drops.
Simply bore a hole through the jungle using a stack or two of bombs and your bound to hit a bee hive as well as a bunch of other goodies.
I'm honestly a big fan of the jungle in general - lots of good stuff in there!!
Ok soooo, I was making my queen be arena in my jungle, all of a sudden my minion (I’m playing melee btw) destroyed the larva and I magic mirrored home, as she was coming to me I thought to my self “what if I tried killing queen bee at my main arena (which was my biggest arena and had a, heart lantern, a camp fire, a sun flower, a honey bath, a star in a bottle, a bass statue (which was hooked up to a lever), and a heart/star statue (which was hooked up too a lever and some timers) I already beat skeletron and had molten armor, the nights edge, etc I thought I was just gonna die but I tried anyways, she was fast and I even drank a health position, but somehow I managed to kill her (idk how, maybe because I was playing melee or I beat skeletron but idk) this was the first time (in my world) that I killed her so… I was like “ummm… WHAT!?!?” so yeh that was fun. disclaimer: don’t do what I did (especially if you not playing melee) she is extremely fast and hits like a truck and I did it because I thought I was gonna die and… it was a joke soooo yeah. Edit: I had no buffs whatsoever

As in using the spikes to make you invincible? Yeah, that doesn't work. I think it used to, but not any more.

Wait, you can fight her outside of the bed hive, I have struggled so much in the confined area of the hive.
Yup - those hives are usually pretty small, but you can fight her anywhere! Though I don't recommend outside of the jungle. That makes her all sorts of angry! 😆
when i was doing queen bee, i just spun my mace to kill the little bees

Salanderak i like decorations i build some theme stuff but none of the less i still suck at decorations and buildings o and also you can skip queen bee or defeat the queen for the witch doctor summon i dont know
Technically you can skip the Queen Bee, but yes, you do need to defeat her if you want to get the Witch Doctor. She's easy though!
i have no clue how people can beat queen bee with just platinum gear on expert, i can do any other boss fine but i feel like i am the only person on the planet who struggles with queen bee

how to get 40 defence in pre hardode? pls tell me
Platinum Armor Set: 20 Defense (Gold Armor Set has 16)
Ironskin Potion: 8 Defense
Food Buff: 2-4 Defense depending on buff level
Bast Status: 5 Defense
Obsidian Shield: 2 Defense
Warding Accessories: 4 Defense per accessory
So using those numbers, if you have a world with Platinum, go with the full armor set, Ironskin potion, Exquisitely Stuffed food buff, and at least 2 accessories re-rolled to Warding, and you would have Armor 20+ Ironskin 8+ Food 4 + Warding Accessories 8 = 40 defense!
If you have Gold armor, just roll more accessories to Warding and you're there pretty easily too!
Never mi d i killed queen bee with ful crison armour and no atena buffs or anythi g beacouse accidentaly hut the larva

Does the cheese glitch still work?
As far as I know it does!
Queen bee is actually useless to kill and here why:
Melee class already can use flamarang, enchanted sword or starfury
For ranged molten bow and minishark is better too
Mage can kill her for bee gun, but this don't help a lot in Skeletron and
WoF fights
Summoners got obsidian armor in 1.4.1 update and imp staff is better than hornet too
Only beenades can be something useful
Sooo, queen bee gears need a buff
Perhaps, if you're into super min-maxing both your gear and your activities in the game. That's personally not my playstyle, so I generally always kill her a few times just for fun, even if I don't want any of her drops. Speaking of which, whether or not they are worth using will vary based on what you already have at the time. So I have a hard time agreeing that any of them are "useless". And even if you're not going to use them, you can still sell them for coin!
Yeah, I also realised, that queen bee can beE killed right after (or even before) eye, just like duke fishron!

Find the jungle on the surface, then dig down! You'll know you've found it when the background art and music change, and you start to get overrun with annoying bats.

@@salendrak i tried it without potons so i died three times. then i thought buffs might be usefull AND O MY FRIG IM SO GOOD I NEVER GOT DOWN 300 HEALTH FOR THE WHOLE FIGHT LOL
