I love seeing your content. I’m a black female dentist and we definitely need more black men as hygienist! Keep up the good work. You will do great things!
Thank you so much❤️ congratulations on making it through dental school and being such great representation for the next generation! I know you’re doing great things as well☺️
I love your videos! One patient being great and the second patient ruining your life is SO real! I'm just a hygiene assistant rn and I hope to get into hygiene school one day! Was there anything else you wanted to do than hygiene?
Thank for watching friend☺️ Dental assistants are literal life savers, so trust me we appreciate the work y’all do for us❤️ I actually was going to become a speech and debate coach before getting into dentistry. My ultimate goal though, is to end up producing some kind of reality tv, I know I’m all over the place 😂
Congrats on finishing DH school. I been through 4 semesters and needed 1 more semesters to go. I did not finish and that was in 2017. I need to try and return at another college; however, ALL of my pre-req.' s are soooo old. I watched ALL of your videos and flash backs occurred. But, we had a quiz and patient clinic each day for all of the semesters. I have been assisting for far too long and it sucks BIG time. Again, congrats congrats congrats. Are hygienist able to administer anesthesia in TX? And yes, working in an ALL melanated practice is phenomenal.
Thank you so much😊 A quiz and patient everyday!? Im sure yall waited at least a semester to start seeing real patient right? Honestly that program sounds hard and I probably wouldn't have finished either lmao. BUT its never too late to start over. You already know what it takes to get in! We have gotten the legal ball rolling on infiltration here in Tx so we will be able to do local very soon. We are just waiting for the suits and the state to create a general curriculum about the rules and regulations of it.
@@RDHMichael Yes, a quiz and patient everyday. The first semester we began seeing patients the second week of school, and competencies began about 2 weeks afterwards. Yes, it was beyond brutal and it never got easier. However, I soooo enjoyed meeting the many many many injection and laser requirements. We began with 20 but only 16 survived....go them 😊. It took me almost 5 years to complete my pre-req.'s. I concur, it definitely is never too late to try again. However, the state that I currently reside, is asking for me to retake 8 of my pre-req.'s.(which are over 10 years old). Again, congrats and enjoy enjoy enjoy.
Good luck in your last two semesters and with board exams☺️ I suggest going in with some confidence and asking as many questions as you can in the beginning of the shift and write things down on a little cheat sheet to refer back to. Check out some videos on how to use the different software and read the reviews if there are any on the office. This will tell you if it’s a good environment for a new graduate. Take into consideration that you are new to the profession and not everything will work out perfectly and give yourself grace❤️
babbbby don't let me find a BLACK OWNED dentist office here in MN...might catch me getting a full time job. i'm playing, i'm gon be temping my life away LOLLLL
No honestly best day ever, the music was lit, the people were lit, it didn’t really feel like working🥹 Temping is cool, but now that I’ve done it, I would love a home office and just temp on the side☺ Temping has its good and bad days but I feel like if I had a home office I could control that more
So this depends on the office, some pay you the same day with Zelle (or something similar)/Checks and some pay you directly through the app you temp with so that usually takes 3-5 days to get direct deposited☺️ and some use a W2 so they add you to their pay roll and pay you out accordingly(typically takes longer) but they take taxes out for you☺️
Personally, I think I would rather build my skills in a full time position. I have been temping and I don't like the surprise and shock of a new office everyday as a new grad. It really depends on your personality. I think after I get more confidence I would enjoy temping more😊
@@RDHMichael yea I can understand that. I’m trying to make up my mind if I want to start the process of DH school. I know I want to do it but I’m a single mom of two who works overnight full time so I’m trying to see if I can do it all lol but I know for sure it what I want to do

When you temp are you paid same day, or do you get paid whenever the dental office does payroll?

Damn you are cute 🙏🏽
Thank you friend😉❤ just wait until I actually start going to the gym again😅
Hey do you like temping rather than just going into a full time position?

@@Godsgirl818 You can do it! You will have to have a community of friends & family to lean on for those two years of school, but It would be worth it!
@@RDHMichael yes for sure! Thank you ❤️
