    Hi. I have this pedal arriving tomorrow, is it simply just plug it into my pc and I'm good to go or have I got to download or install stuff on my pc for the pedal to work. Thanks in advance

      Hello! You need to register to IK multimedia, download IK product manager and proceed with the video :) I said update (for existing tonex users like myself - my mistake), basically you have to install ToneX LE (version of tonex that you'll get with tonex one). Apart from that everything should work exactly the same.
      I'll pin this comment just in case anyone would have the same problem. Cheers!

    Great demo, it answered some of the questions I had about the pedal. I'm going to stick with the full size pedal, there's just a little less that you have to remember with the dedicated on board dials and such. If they ever come out with a Tonex with built in delays and modulation effects, they can take me money! I've also tried some of your captures, they're great! Thanks so much for sharing them.

    • @galtonestudio
      @galtonestudio  Před měsícem +2

      Thanks! :) I'm also waiting for a bigger version with even basic delay, but to be honest - One is great for me, mostly because I can take it anywhere and it's way more advanced than I expected (but it has it's limitations that may be a dealbreaker for some people).
      P.S. To be honest, navigating was kinda confusing but after a few hours they are actually quite easy to remember :)

    I took this to church the day after I got it. I'd worked with a bunch of presents and thought it was good. When I opened it up at church it was blinking and I freaked out, thought something was wrong. Relieved to see it still worked, but then when I messed with my EQ I couldn't understand why it kept sounding worse. Then I finally realized it was alt mode from this video and I'd cranked the reverb to 100 🤦🏻‍♂

      @galtonestudio  Před 20 dny

      Haha, sorry to hear that, but i can imagine the terror! I think if i'd take it to gig i'd try not to mess with any controls, both tonex units are kinda meh in terms of "ease of use" onstage.

  • @BobbyHarrisonGuitar
    @BobbyHarrisonGuitar Před 28 dny +1

    Great tutorial. Thank you. My Tonex One arrived yesterday and I'm already considering returning it. For some reason, I'm unable to edit presets with the software, which means I'm stuck with just one reverb or compressor parameter on the pedal itself. All I can do in the Librarian is switch between whatever I have assigned to presets 1 & 2. Seems like driver issue, but there aren't drivers available for Mac (I don't think they're needed). It's already a really bad user experience.

    • @galtonestudio

      That's very weird. Probably your best bet would be to wait for IK support, but that sucks. Unluckily I can't really help since I'm a windows user.

      @@galtonestudio Yeah, it's frustrating. I spent a bit more time with the Tonex this afternoon and managed to get a couple of very useable sounds, while doing all my editing on the pedal, but it's baffling that the software doesn't appear to be working properly. Maybe I should reinstall it.

      I've just started editing with my new Tonex (arrived yesterday) but I'm finding it REALLY hard going. I'm a actually a Fractal/Line 6 user. This is a fly-rig backup for me. The editing software leaves A LOT to be desired. Not intuitive at all. Your video is helping, thanks.

  • @formercakid
    @formercakid Před 16 dny

    If you are using the Tonex ap and you make modifications at the Tonex One pedal to the BASS/TREBLE/ETC. do those changes propagate over to the preset that may be stored in a folder or where the preset resides in the 20 presets area?

    • @galtonestudio
      @galtonestudio  Před 16 dny

      I will have to check it since i'm not in a studio currently, but if i remember correctly if you create a folder and drag/drop preset from tonex one librarian to that folder on PC, those 'new presets will have a setting that you created on device. But I'd have to check it out to be sure, to be honest editing presets on tonex one is quite painful.
      To be honest the best way to edit presets right now since there's no real time editor (sigh) - is to basically use any audio interface, Use Line Out 1 or 2 to send signal from tonex to poweramp, FRFR or return of tube amp depending on setup, and edit presets in real time from PC (and later transfer them to tonex one). I'll probably make a video about it next week.

      Hello! Basically if you're using it on ipad, the only way is to use a ToneX app here (not the pedal). I made a video about that a while ago. A couple of things:
      - You need an audio interface that works with ipad --> irig or something similar.
      - You can't import TXP files into iPad. Only use tonenet tones or ik multimedia partner collections.
