"The Royal Albert Hall is Eric Clapton’s home away from home in London. Since his debut at the historic venue with the Yardbirds in 1964, Clapton has performed there over 200 times. Eric also holds the record for the longest run of concerts at the venue. He set it in 1990 with 18 shows, then broke it the following year with 24 concerts. They were some of the most ambitious shows of Clapton’s career. Each night featured him performing a career-spanning set with one of three lineups - a rock band, a blues band, or an orchestra conducted by Michael Kamen.
To commemorate that record-setting run, Clapton released 24 NIGHTS in October 1991. The double live album and home video delivered great performances but only covered a fraction of what was filmed and recorded.
All the audio and video from 24 NIGHTS was painstakingly restored and upgraded by Clapton for THE DEFINITIVE 24 NIGHTS, which will be available on limited edition boxed sets as either 6-CDs or 8-LPs on June 23. Both versions come with three Blu-ray discs for the video content, a hardbound book, and an individually numbered lithograph featuring a photograph of Clapton by Carl Studna.
Standalone versions of the individual concerts - 24 NIGHTS: ROCK, 24 NIGHTS: BLUES, and 24 Nights: ORCHESTRAL - will be released the same day in 2-CD/DVD and 3-LP (Rock and Orchestral) and 2-LP (Blues) configurations.

Totally agree Ruddy, I have Live at Montreux 1986 and Eric Clapton and Friends Live 1986 on dvd both great concert performances from these guys. Greg and Nathan add a magic touch to the sound with Phil's wonderful drumming and fill patterns. I love Clapton's guitar tone and guitar chorus effects he uses in this period. 👍
Phil Palmer described this as the best band he has ever been a part of - & with good reason.

As far Mr. Dylan being an acquired taste, so are a lot of things like caviar and sea urchin, but I don’t have the time or the patience required to acquire the taste for those anymore than I have the time or patience to acquire the taste for Bob Dylan’s singing voice.

I remember finding this album by flipping through “Clapton” on the cd rack at HMV music when I was an early teen.
It's been a fortnight since my Papa's passing. The moment he took his last breathe keeps flashing on my mind again and again. Hurts like hell. But it's this song that comforts me in a bright melancholic sort of way.

Written by the great Bob Dylan. I always preferred Eric's version. Can't wait to get the newly restored/remastered 24 Nights. This song has always been very inspirational to me. It brings me up when I'm feeling down.
