The Largest Animal on the Planet! | Blue Whales - Santa Barbara, CA

- I remember the first time I saw a blue whale. Years ago on a small zodiac vessel out of Newport Beach I was astonished at how the pure size of these mighty animals dwarfed our 36' boat. Years later, I have been extremely fortunate to be able to film so many of the largest animals on the planet this year. Over 50+ individual blue whales have been spotted in the Santa Barbara Channel this summer. Even a rare cow/calf pair joined us for some incredible aerial views! This entire video was shot on a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone and a Lumix G9 mirrorless camera. I hope you enjoy and look forward to having you out on one of our cruises!

I love Blue whales!
I got to see 15 of them over two whale watching outings in Santa Barbara a few months ago. Also saw several Common minke whales and hundreds of both species of common dolphins.

@@raindrops1399 I think I was probably referring to the massiveness of these creatures....like how a single celled zygote develops into a creature which is the largest on this planet.
On the other note, evolution is real...and life never started from a single cell, there was a time when some complex molecules became capable of regenerating and started showing metabolism in their own confined personal space....that is there when life started... those molecules which made transition between lifeless state to life came to be known as coacervates.

Always love seeing footage of them, and it I'm sure it would be incredible to see them in real life. Technically speaking they are not classified as fish but as mammals. Examples of fish cod, haddock salmon and sharks. Whales don't lay eggs, but give birth and provide milk to their young. Whales and dolphins are known as cetaceans. Nonetheless they are magnificent creations of God and there should be a total ban on whaling.
