Wow, you found a lot of coins! They will likely have collector value over and above what they are worth in silver. I would like to see a video where you showcase the coins and money, and how much it all was worth.

Coins, take a lot of training and having a keen eye if you know what your looking for. Be sure to use a loup for the coins to look for rare errors. Don't just randomly go out and sell them. They could be worth millions and in the 1982 D small date if you find one that is copper. That weighs 3.11gms, send it in for grading.
You should see about doing a collaboration with Rob Finds Treasures on CZcams to go through all the coins because some dates or errors can be more desirable and worth more money then a more common date. Plus some silver coins are 40% silver and others are 90% silver depending on which coin and what years.

Make sure you search the bills by year and color of seal. Old Dollar bills, especially Red Seal Silver Certificates can be worth a lot more than a buck

People buy those old McDonalds containers on ebay. I've been a part time coin dealer for the last 30 years, and would really like to see a video of just the coins and currency. I'm not sure what you paid for all of the contents of the house, but the coins might cover that.
I was shocked when I saw people would buy the containers, I already sold a few of them. I will be doing a video on the coins in the future as well.
Awesome way to end the 80's toy house pick! I watched every single video, and enjoyed every second! I would love to know more of the history of this family. The kid's & grandkid's childhoods seemed awesome! I couldn't help but be a little sad seeing each room, all of the toys, clothes, collectables and knowing this was someone's childhood that they didn't want any longer. However, you are preserving these great things, and helping to restore many other's childhood memories, how cool! I've recently started downsizing my collections, because I don't want my child to be burdened by too many things, like these folks most likely were. Loved seeing that you found some LJN WWF wrestlers, my favorite toys from the 80's! Wonderful work, I appreciate you all!!
Thanks, JYD, it was an epic pick and one I don't know that we will be able to top. I'm glad we were able to get in there and save so many items from the dump so we can get them in the hands of people that will cherish them.

WOW! what was the oldest coin found? How much total face value found in that dresser?
I know I pulled a 1894 silver dollar out of the dresser, not sure if thats the oldest there was tons lots of 50s-70s coinis
@@detroit_toyhunter74 1894 is a rare year if it's a Morgan Dollar. If it's uncirculated it can be worth $1000+, if it has no mint mark it will be worth the most.
"the coin books are trash, just grab the coins, the figure cards & paperwork are got damp, chuck em!" The whole point is the complete collection regardless of the condition its still worth much more as it tells a story!!
I salvaged what I could, but much of it was stuck together and covered in mold, sometimes its to far gone.

PLEASE when it’s appropriate tells us what you know about the person who lived there all those years that must have had no family who obviously would have taken those wonderful items. It would be quite a history to share I believe. What a unique person this must have been.

Sadly 99.9% of hoarder houses are filled with crap and mice and zero valuables.

You can find good treasure buried, vintage stuff, but it sure isn’t an easy task

Reminds me of a couple in manhattan they were very old never had children. They use to own a fabric/ tapestry company and had sold it. Anyway i work for this company and was sent with a huge box of hangers and stuff,when i arrived at their apartment in park ave they had so much stuff it look like gallery.

The Mongoose is worth a few hundred bucks, maybe more. Wipe the steel and chrome down with 0000 steel wool to remove any rust, it’ll look great. I may even have a buyer for you if you want me to ask.

For a toy seller, I am surprised you don’t knowhow to restore paper products. Those G.I. Joe cards can be cleaned. There are several options depending on the spoilage. But don’t throw them out. The are still good!
I ended up keeping most of it, some of the paper was too far gone.

I just wanted to tell you I truly enjoyed your videos on this fine but before you throw away anything paper that you think got damp or might smell a little musty or mildewy I like to call that smell basement itis you can get rid of it put charcoal real pieces of real charcoal not charcoal briquettes in a container put the paperwork in the container don't let the charcoal touch it course and the charcoal will absorb the smell and make it go away. I use this initially to remove the musty smell from album covers! Thanks for posting!

I knew nothing about coins until recently but it looks like that is an amazing find. It’s crazy that these people didn’t want to keep some of this stuff. Obviously you paid something for the contents and I’m guessing you paid less than the amount you listed as the value of the toys so it’s surprising these folks didn’t want to take more. Interesting to see the wrestling cards but no wrestlers.

We will be doing it by collection, there is to much stuff to neatly organize it all for one video, it took us about 8 trailer loads to get everything out. I'd love to spread it all out but I don't have the space.
