  • Rolled my own XDelete since support for the G series platforms haven't landed.
    Compilation of tests to make sure the stability control system is still functional. So far seems to be alright.
    Rear kicks out SCARY fast in low grip situations. I think the steering/rear diff are doing some things to make it harder to spin out (even in dsc off), not sure.
    Plenty of under-the-hood nannies still at play, which is what I want for a daily driver. Can flip back to AWD and melt face in two minutes using ProTool.

      Life changing stuff, isn't it? All the stereotypes immediately make sense. 😂

    Niiiiice! I heard XDelete support should be coming sometime in 2024. But how did you end up getting it to work?

      With xdrive turned on it genuinely makes me want to puke. Goes from a dig to 100mph in ~7 seconds. 🤮

    rear drift unlock? Is that related with your mods? I never ever heard of the G42 RWD version doing that. 🤔

      It's a thing on most likely all cars equipped with the current M Sport Differential. The rear diff is open with a clutch pack on the carrier. If I'm dragging the brakes, I risk wearing the pack out. It makes sense.
      Not sure about a "real M car" but mine has a lot of tricky things under the hood with the brakes. It namely will not allow a standing burnout for more than ~10 seconds before it reduces engine torque, no matter how light I am on the pedal.

    Very nice work. I just upgraded from the G42 RWD to a G87 M2. Any mods yet?

      Nothing yet! Downpipe first, then probably going to go straight to flex + pre-june cloned DME. I have been spending most of my time reverse engineering to see if M Drive Mode can be ported to the non-iBOOSTER dsc system on the G42.

      @@xPyro_G42 Have you found a compatible pre-june DME to clone? I was unable to find a pre june DME that was compatible, thanks

    How can I make my screen show me the sports displays??

    • @xPyro_G42
      @xPyro_G42  Před 6 měsíci

      Go to the Live Vehicle app and set the "Content" tab (on the left) to be Live Vehicle.
      The sports displays only show up in Sport drive modes.

    I'm also running m240i. I came across your video while searching how to turn off xdrive. How can I turn it off?

      There are approximately 70 coding settings that you need to change. Use ESys to generate an NCD for a RWD variant (edit your VO/FA) and upload the NCDs for DSC_VIP_IB4 and DSC_BRS modules' CAFDs.

    how do you code the m2 cluster and idrive screen?

    • @xPyro_G42
      @xPyro_G42  Před 5 měsíci

      The cluster on iDrive8 is Secure Coding 2.0 - it cannot be coded without ISTA AOS (online) signature validations. BMW Mothership will know...
      The headunit cannot be coded to M2. You have to generate a TAL in E-Sys and edit it to force the M2 *firmware* (SWFL, SWFK). Coding the M theme on the factory M240i firmware will cause it to not boot. The M theme simply does not exist in the stock firmware.
