- Jarrett Stidham was a five star QB coming out of high school and was the next big thing in college. After a great career at Baylor and Auburn, he was supposed to be the successor to Tom Brady, but things did not work out, so what happened?

I actually love stidham man. Ive watched alot of practices he had in new England with brady. And after brady.. And i assure you jarrett looked phenomenal. In mini camps and split team practice i saw jarrett run a muck on both pats 1st team d and i saw him rip the panthers first team d. The kid got wheels. Has great cadences, footwork and superb body language in the pocket. To call him a bust is just ridiculous. Hes a baby in the pros still. And has yet to actually have an opportunity to play.

This video is made 3 months ago and the big error is that You claim Jarrett got an opportunity. He never started a single game for the Patriots. He just got his first start two days ago and he did very well. We'll see what the future holds for him, but I don't think it's right to call a fourth round pick a bust when he's hardly had a chance to play.
Excited to see how he does as the starter in Las Vegas for the last two games of the season.

Looked great sunday against the number1 defense in NFL Niners 365 yards 3 TDs took them into overtime.
Usually I would say 4th round qb not working out would not count as a bust, but this is the guy that went to Bill Belichick qb school and played under Brady. I knew somethin was wrong moment they picked up Cam Newtown, before that I thought that Belichick would give Stitham a shot, but he must of seen enough to decide to not do that

I felt bad for Stidham because he had a bright future. He seems to be doing fine outside of football even though he wasn’t the future QB that people hoped.
I believe he’s very underrated and has great potential. Hope he gets a good shot with the Bronchos. B

There was the weird back sided hype fit Stidham. When he committed to Auburn the media didn’t really jump on it. The invest Auburn fans that did their research got really hyped. I remember getting super pumped watching his high school and Baylor highlights. He just never lived up to his potential and I think most of that is to play on Auburn’s coaching system. War Eagle

I agree, a fourth round pick is not a bust. He's still a backup with the Raiders behind Carr (so who knows). Being drafted as a QB on a team with Tom Brady is the kiss of death for your career though (see Kyle Trask, Matt Cassel Jacoby Brissett et al). You don't get to develop and even if you do have some potential you'll most assuredly never play, relegating them to a career backup. Guys like Brady and Rodgers see to it that a backup almost never plays.

The Gus Bus is what ran over Stidham. Auburn under Gus saw player regress from year 1. Bo Nix also fell victim but Oregon seems to be correcting the damage done under Gus and Harsin... Sure wish we had Freeze back then. Prolly would have saved these two QBs and Malik would could have stayed put.

Stidham is not a bust. The idea that 'he'll likely be out of the NFL soon" has now become him being hand-picked by Sean Payton. There's a good chance he'll start in Denver in 2024.

What happened? He's a Texas small town star QB who had an okay college career and earned a few checks in the pros. His story was never intriguing.

Thankfully the raiders coach was able to trade for Jarrett from the Patriots and sign him as the future qb for the raiders. If Jarrett plays as good against KC as he did against the whiners......then next season stidham should be given top priority to be the raiders starting QB.

He should have stayed at Baylor where he could take advantage of the conference and the playstyle you need to be consistent and efficient if your gonna be succesful in the SEC and he just was not he had i think more talent then Bryce Petty and he went in the 4th round essentially being the best Baylor Bear QB ever if Stidham stays he probably supplants Bryce and goes as a 2nd rounder instead of a 4th
