- Along this roughly 200-mile stretch of US Highway 395, from Mono Lake and Bodie to Convict Lake and Alabama Hills, nearly every turnoff presents you with vistas of wild wonder. A good road trip shows off the diversity of the land, and this one delivers, winding from arid desert to sagebrush plains to alpine mountains. Along the way are some of the Sierra’s most photo-worthy sights-get ready to show off shots of tufa towers, ghost towns, and the Alabama Hill’s famous arch.

Great video, I've been meaning to do this drive for a while!
Awesome video!! So many great views and scenery
We're glad you enjoyed the video, Robert. There are so many beautiful things and places to see along Highway 395. We are looking forward to having things back to normal so everyone can enjoy them again.
Great trip 👍 The sedan in the video can make it to all the spots shown in your video?
Keep it up ladies
Great vid! The 395 corridor has so much to offer. I've been going there for 20+ years any chance I get, and there's still more exploring to do..
We love to hear that! That's right no two trips ever have to be the same because there is so much to experience. What are some of the best parts you remember from past trips?
@@visitcalifornia my 1st trip there was Mono Lake, Bodie, and Travertine hot springs in Bridgeport. I've been sprung ever since. My favorite spots near Bridgeport are Travertine, Buckeye hot spring, and Twin Lakes. South of there I like the Mammoth & Bishop area too. I've been to the hot springs east of Mammoth in the long valley caldera. Great place. Near Bishop I've been to the fish slough petroglyph site, the bristlecone pine forest, and to some natural hot springs south of town. I mostly go to the Bridgeport area and camp just east of there in Nevada near the East Walker River. Theres a mountain there called Mt Patterson - 12,000 feet tall, and there are 4wd roads all the way to the summit. Probably my favorite destination there. I have about 20 mins of footage of it in one of my vids if you'd like to see. Happy travels!
Thar's absolutely amazing, Gregg! Sounds like you really know your way around the area. Highway 395 truly does offer some of the most stunning views and places. Perfect for outdoor lovers. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
