    Good video! I use feeler gages instead of a credit card!

    Thanks for the video. Why do you have to leave a 1/8" gap between the two tracks?

    • @toolnut
      @toolnut  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thanks Jay! As stated the rails are never guaranteed that they are cut at a perfect 90 and should never be pushed together and then tightened. A gap should always be left between so after a straight edge is used to ensure the 2 rails are aligned that it allows for correction. Here is a video we did showing an accessory that can be used to help align to keep rails straight while tightening. The second video gives an even better explanation at the 1:35 mark by Sedge from Festool. It's the same concept for all brands of guide rails.

    I love the saw and track but the clamps are horrible, they wont slide in the slot beyond the lip. I had to grind mine down some for them to work. Picked up different Quick Release ones and it's a world of difference.

      Unfortunately, a small batch was released that wasn't ground properly before leaving the factory. I had to do the same thing to the sample set.

      Which ones did you buy?

      @Hunterworks the Milwaukee ones, had to do some grinding, the Dewalt 'quick' clamps, and the Festool fit fine.

    Good video on Milwaukee's track saw accessories. Just purchased their saw and track guide recently but having problem finding compatible parallel and/or square guides that work with Milwaukee's track. Speaking directly with TSO, their TPG parallel guide system does NOT currently work with Milwaukee's track unless you use TSO's new GRS-16 PE Parallel Edge Guide Rail Square. TSO rep stated they are working on Milwaukee compatible TPG attachments, which they hope to have available sometime in July 2023. I do hope they are made available soon. Woodpecker's site shows their system is compatible but I don't have any extra kidneys to sell off to fund their version.

      @toolnut  Před rokem

      Thank you! Yes, some aftermarket or competitor track accessories won't work with Milwaukee due to the extra lip in the rail where the saw locks in during bevel cuts so it doesn't tip over. Same as Makita saw and rails

      @@toolnut True but TSO TPG products work on the Makita but not on the Milwaukee. Not sure, why the difference?? So, I went with Benchdog UK's rail square and it works perfectly with Milwaukee's track. Still deciding on a parallel guide solution and may go DIY for now. Love your videos.

      @@TwoTracksOutdoors Good to know. I wasn't aware about Makita working since the extra tab on the Makita and Milwaukee rails is so similar. Thanks for watching!

      Update: As of July 14 2023. TSO's new TPG Adapter (Slide-On version) v2 now compatible with Milwaukee's track. So, Milwaukee track saw fans, who also love TSO's parallel guide system can now rest comfortable, knowing they can now use TSO's system. Hooray!! and thank you TSO.

      Will check that for you, most of the accessories work. We have a cross compatibility video coming soon. We didn't test those but will now!

    The only problem I have with Milwaukee tools is they don't honor their warranty.

    • @toolnut
      @toolnut  Před rokem

      Sorry to hear that, generally not the case as long as it's a manufacturing defect. Even in some cases when it's not they step up and take care of the issue. Don't call the 800 number, use the E-service or contact the company you bought the tool from.

      @@toolnut i bought it through tool nut, it was their mx inverter. I paid 1900 for it and they told the repair company i went through that they would not honor the warranty because they did not approve of my receipt that i got from you. They did tell me it would cost 1700 to repair it or they would scrap it for free. I did not take that well.

      I've never had an issue with them honoring the warranty, used plenty of other manufacturers tools and Milwaukee has one of the best repair and warranty programs out there. It's one of the primary reasons I chose Milwaukee's platform
