- New Knott's Berry Farm Camp Snoopy Park Updates! We finally got the opening day for the Beagle Express Electric Train. Did it live up to the hype? We gave you a ride-along walkthrough of the attraction.

As guests cross into the world of Camp Snoopy, they’ll become official campers, joining Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang for the camp’s annual jamboree, a fun week of camp competitions and activities. They can begin their adventure at Beagle Scout Headquarters at the new Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster, where Beagle Scout Leader Snoopy and his troop will take them on a new first coaster experience through the forest.
Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister is the only family coaster that takes parents and kids up a lift hill and delivers a pint-sized launch, making this a first, big coaster experience for everyone. The best part is that guests get to ride twice so it’s double the fun and double the adventure every time.
Rocky Mountain Trucking Company will be transformed into the new Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally. Guests will jump into their own colorful four-wheel jeep, each themed to Snoopy or a PEANUTS character, drive through an expanded track and terrain, and race to the finish line. In this fun and colorful road rally, riders will encounter funny road signs and obstacles to go over, around, and under. Success is measured not by speed but by how many course checkpoints can be found.
Sally’s Swing Along is a new experience and offers a carefree break from camp life. Not your backyard variety, this super-sized swing set is big enough for the entire PEANUTS gang! Kids and parents can sit side-by-side on the giant bench swing and glide 10 feet toward the sky, back and forth, giggling and getting a taste of the good life.
For a scenic journey throughout Camp Snoopy, campers will board the newly upgraded Beagle Express and take a locomotive ride through a series of camp vignettes, crossing over a covered bridge, watching as Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang prepare for the jamboree events. They’ll see fellow campers along the route decorating their cabins for a “Best Cabin” contest and getting ready for potato sack races and more.
It’s not officially summer camp until you sing songs around the campfire. At the new Camp Snoopy Theater, campers will gather under a giant, new rustic-beamed theatre, filled with log benches for seating that surround a large firepit at the base of the stage. The firepit will be lit in the evenings for special campfire entertainment. During the day, the theater will debut a new Camp Snoopy show and offer more shade and a larger stroller parking area.
Meet-and-greets with Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Pigpen, Sally, Marcie and, of course, Snoopy will now be found throughout Camp Snoopy at varying times daily.
Guest favorite Woodstock’s Airmail reopens in a new area called Camp Post Office. Guests will strap into their seats and once again soar into the sky and back down again with Snoopy's favorite feathered friend.
And finally, rounding out the experience will be an updated Grizzly Lodge dining hall, with new décor and menu items, new family restrooms, and an immersive new Snoopy Camp Store with all the essentials needed for camp and then some.

Exactly, this looks terrible. Knotts keeps getting rid of trees more and more. I’ve been noticing that trend
They need to make high passenger capacity rides to help cut down on the long line wait times. They also need more shows to play whenever there’s long lines at the rides.
It was a grand re-failer of a opening. I feel they should have waited untill it was all complet.
I agree! But I think there would have been riots hahaha I'm sure so many people got passes just for camp snoopy so maybe they felt like they had to open. I know I did. I'm not a super Knotts fan so my husband and our oldest like to go. But when I go with our youngest, he can't get on much. With them saying they were open I caved and got passes for myself and our youngest. And here we are hahaha I want to stay positive but it's hard haha
Yea very true. End of July seems like the perfect time to Re Open!
True, but giving an early date for re opening was their biggest hurt. Had they given a later July date they would’ve been better prepared for a fantastic reopening and preparations for Scary Farm would’ve also been better

3:00 No reason to not have a test seat, but it's not all that common for kiddie coasters, in my experience. Parents being able to ride with the kids is kind of an after thought on it. Some parks don't even allow adults to ride those coasters for this reason actually. Slows down operation on an already single train coaster. I'm not sure if it's actually all that complicated to figure out if you'll fit or not. Test seats definitely don't hurt but still. One should be able to make an educated guess if they're going to fit on a kiddie coaster. Nice to see some attention on the kid's section though. 7:40 Side note, curiously, WD-40 is actually NOT a lubricant. It's a cleaner (WD is for Water Displacement) for squirting out dirt, grime and water in tight spaces and protecting them from corrosion. Not actually lubricating it. It will work, kind of, though since it is a mix of oils. I didn't learn that until a year or two ago and found it very surprising haha.

Ride this first time today since remodel, they absolutely killed this ride. The Grand Sierra was a cool little steam train with a fun storyline thru the ride. They replaced it with this electric pile of garbage, simplified the storyline, and just took the fun out of it. Not only that, you can’t even hear the synthesized “long whistle” from the back, signaling the ride’s end. I hope this doesn’t spell the end of the big steam train thru the park as well. Is this what to expect from the merger with Six Flags?
I went yesterday the first ride was the new ride (because ghost riders line was too long) my brother rated the ride from a 3 to a 9 then we went on the train (aka beagle express) to was fun the line was short too and after Knotts closed we got ice cream sandwiches and I got a regular ice cream and the amount of ice cream they gave us was big I forgot to mention we also went on the off road rally
Now that sounds like a fun day at the park.

The "trucks" were sooooo slow hahahaha It was so funny! My 9 year old was trying to stay positive so I tried to stay positive. It's nice for a break. Because it goes slow. Our light didn't work on the truck we were in so it was really dark.
1million percent agree about fitting on the rides. My husband and son waited forever to get on ghost rider and when they got on my husband didn't fit! And they had to get off. Our son was crushed. Same thing happened on Sierra sidewinder. I can't get on that one because I get dizzy. But I don't think I would fit either. I mean I'm not huge but also not skinny hahaha It's silly! The new little coaster broke down on us last night so we didn't get to ride it. But I was so nervous to see if I would fit. Again, I know I'm not the thinnest one in the bunch haha But it's silly to me that at knotts we have to worry about fitting on rides. We don't have this problem at Disneyland. Just saying! 🤷🏻♀️🤣
Unfortunately last night when we got there the train had closed. I hate that they do that. Open from 10a - 5p and only on weekends 🤣🙄

One thing I can’t stand about knotts is the lack of shade, it’s obviously intentional to make people spend $6 for a small cup of soda. Camp snoopy also seems like it has less trees compared to before.
I’m a huge knotts fan but this looks like a downgrade compared to even camp snoopy in the 80s. Knotts unfortunately dropped the ball
