@@Aden_III splinter distance and lethal distance. Blue on blue is 100% unacceptable so anything inside the splinter distance would be danger close, so the person authorizing the fire would know of the risks

Somebody designating an artillery target relative to their own position is only ever going to be as accurate as the knowledge of their own position. If you only know your own position to 300 meters, and you call in artillery on a target 300 meters away, you very well could've just called in artillery on your own location.

Sure, the explosion f*cks up your body, but nothing is quite as lethal as being penetrated by a hundred tiny white-hot pieces of metal. That is why one must get down by an explosive, so most of the schrapnel and heat can be caught on the helmet instead of being riveted by schrapnel

(You can have 0 consumer goods with even 200 factory for a long time, but watch out for conscription law, you need to change it if you don't want 0 manpower, i forgot it when i attempted this thing first time) you can become a total industrial monster already in 1939
