I've lived in Scotland, Glasgow before moving to MK and finally London. Each of these places comes with advantages and disadvantages. Pay per hour is low in Scotland and the reason why their rent isn't expensive. 90 % of London jobs pay higher and living expenses are high. If you don't own or drive in MK, you won't enjoy life, transportation in Scotland is far better than in MK but London is best coz even at 1:30 midnight there's still transport in London.
Also, owning a cheaper council house of your own is about 80% more assured in Scotland than in MK and London. In the Midlands, council houses are accessible and cheaper than in London but also you have to drive to work coz if you rely on public transportation you will always be late or it's either you wake up early than expected.

Giving birth early is good, but only if the support is there, and as a father if you bonded with your kids, showed them love, there's no way your children will forget about you ❤❤❤
