RAW onboard gopro footage of the Kawasaki H2 chopper
• Kawasaki H2 chopper ma...
Again, huge thanks to Eric for letting me do these features on the wild motorcycles he builds. This Kawasaki H2 was legitimately fast!! See ya next time weirdo's #shadetreearmy - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Most beautiful assisted suicide machine I have ever seen.
Fuckin perfectly put!
Bikes & Drones you haven't seen any other bikes huh?
Tampa!!!!????
A true Unicorn
Fuck a rope or a gun, give me that thing!
A chopper that moves like a sportsbike.
Thats what the world needs more of.
He cant keep up 😅,rocket ship and more reliable than a Hog 😅
I rode the two-stroke triple in the 70's. The Good Times Rolled for sure with incredible power & sound. Will never forget & I miss it.
Jim Edward I don’t care what anyone says you can’t beat a 2 stroke for speed and sound.
@@gregverity9533 Oh definitely. 2 strokers sound ferocious with big power
@@gregverity9533 I agree with you totally dude 2strokes are beasts
Without a tach he's short shifting all the time. Take it to redline (8500rpm) and see what it'll do......
Wilson true story right there
An artist is an artist. His mission isnt to please people. Good job dude
Eric, you probably won't see this comment, but you sir have created an insanely badass piece of balls to the wall rolling artwork and the world is a better place with it and you in it. And for that .....I thank you...
Hell see it, he reads all the comments :)

Hell trigger a grammar nazi ! lol OCD much man? Too funnie. Sorry bout the Non Sequitur here but I was sooo triggered hahaha
Touche' bro I'm n asshat for gettin triggered lol
_This bike has been added to your wishlist._
It’s so angry!!! Needs all stroke noise to cover that sound of steel balls dragging the ground!!
Yes!!!! Can I get one made
You're right. I need the blue print now!
Mmm no. My Night Train still remains permanently in my Garage
I had a triple years ago, I called it the devils weed eater.
I miss that smokey old bastard.
Yo that’s a perfect name for a 2 stroke motorcycle 😂
Damn he started it easily with his hand, I’ve never seen that before.
Must be low compression or compression release
Yea that blew my mind as well.
He is a strong boi
That is completely insane! One twist of that throttle would cause me to shit my pants, pass out, wake up and shit my pants for a second time! Mad props for this man's talent!
Did he just start a kick-start bike by hand? I'm pretty sure he's god.
Christian Hodges that’s the two stroke kickstart life
I would not want to kick my yz 250 2stroke by hand at all. That fucker Can break an arm
nikolaiownz my cr 250. Ya taken skin off the back of my heel manytimes. But nothing like my 350 honda enduro from 78. Throw you over the ha dlebars
Christian Hodges These bikes were easy to start .Had one in the late 70s .One kick starts but with foot.
TX Rick that makes sense given the low compression, still threw me off to see though haha
THAT is what "Customization" is all about! I love the fact that you PERFECTLY blended a sport bike plant with vintage chopper looks! The fact that you built a 2 stroke Death Trap, requiring mad skills to control is phenomenal! The bike sounds like pissed off bumblebees! Great Build! I would LOVE 2 own that chopper! 💪😁⚡
I like the bike, I just didn't like the dweeb who kept acting surprised that it was fast.
It can’t beat no s&s at thats for sure cause i romped mine and went in the other lane racing a corvette
not my style of bike at all, but I just love the way he's managed to get all the controls hidden away so cleanly. He's a world class builder no doubt
Two strokes, brings back memories (ring, ding a, ding ding ding) lol. One thing though, that bike looks so damn small with him sitting on it.
Jim Mc eh.. There are so many two strokes... I love em but it personally wouldn't remind me of old days
Knew a guy back in 70s who had drag bike with motor like that , it was so weird it had no mid or low frequency sound to it at all. Just made high frequency crackly noises
"Dragula....a '70s Werewolf bike...."
This clip has had me giggling like a skoolgirl on nitrous, pretty amazing since I'm on month 11 of 'recovery' after the worlds most ridiculous bike accident of June '19. I discovered yesterday, after picking my Buell/Sportster up from the garage (don't even ask) that I can't even lift my left leg onto the peg! This is not even due to the accident, just hip deterioration after a bad climbing accident when I was 19. I'm waiting for a nice bionic joint....
I love that bike, so much wilder than the original! I'm so glad to see there are people still producing such fabulous things...I built my first chop in about 1971.
Kudos!
I had 2 in my younger days oh and the H1 500 also wicked fast
Only word I think really fits is magnificent.
He cant even tell how much he's ignoring the speed limit by, cos the bike has no speedo and is so low, it must be surreal to ride.
That Kawasaki H2 2 stroke Chopper is fucking cool man. A cop car would never catch that. Very fucking Cool.
Dam i'm in love! that is a bad ass beautifully built bike. Dude is gifted. I would pay him to build me a bike.
Hats off to this guy, he has mad skills not only as an engineer but fabricator and parts amalgamator! Truly impressive. Not just this one but all his other creations as well!
Honestly, I was gonna make fun of putting that H2 engine in such in inappropriate frame. But then I remembered my old Kawasaki 2-strokes and realized that one is actually probably better. Hahahaha.
LOL!! Kawasaki specialty, all the money and r&d goes to the motor haha
Ha! Perzactly.
That is an absolutely gorgeous monstrosity
I know what you mean , a friend had one back in the 70's and it was hard to keep it on the ground. Like this it's a drag bike.
shadetree surgeon
Heard an old wife’s tale , maybe it’s true.
Kawasaki plant was based at an old airstrip so they went for power and didn’t worry about cornering or handling, because they didn’t have any corners.
I guess it’s like the mopar of the bike world.
I'd have to have some wider bars on it, but I'd definitely ride it.
We saw the bike online and drove to his old shop and met Eric. Really nice guy to take time out for me and my middle school son. My son is now graduated from MMI and a BMW tech in VA. Keep up the good work Eric.
Believe it or not I built a chopper from that same engine back in’74. I loved it!i used an old triumph hardtail with 6” over on the front end.
I miss that bike!
Started smiling when he started it up, still smiling now. What a sound!
WOW, if that isn't the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
Back in 1979 I saw a Kawasaki H2 2 stroke stuffed in a 250 mx frame at Sand Mountain Nevada. It had a shaved bald front tire like before recapping, the engine, handle bars, a seat and a sand paddle tire, and some sort of brakes, the guy that had it was a mad man. The bike threw a rooster tail that was easily two telephone poles tall, and was by far the fastest thing on the sand that weekend, be it bike sand rail or 4x4. The only thing faster that weekend was the occasional F-16 from the nearby Naval Air Station in Fallon that flew over. The Kawasaki H2 is a fantastic piece or engineering.
I love it. I bought a ‘72 H2 in 1981, had the engine rebuilt and bored .20 over, Weisco pistons, port and polish, chamber pipes, rejetted carbs.. I loved that bike. What a great hot rod!
Great job on the chopper, it’s beautiful!
I rode one of these when they first came out. When it hit the powerband the front wheel came up and it scared the shit outta me haha. I gratefully went back to my Triumph lol..
Bloody hell That thing made my foreskin tingle 💦
This is awesome. I feel this is one of the most epic motorcycle engines ever produced
Building a custom expansion chamber is very impressive. The pressure pulses in the pipe have to resonate just right. Love the reverse hand levers. Your longest finger should have the most leverage. No clutch and throttle cables visible. The same number of moving parts in the head as a flat head Ford. A long and low frame was a good choice. Two strokes are notoriously peaky and want to lift the front wheel in the air when they suddenly hit the power band. Now all you have to worry about is doing a burnout. So many wonderful details. Excellent!
I would ride it ! Probably get carried away and have an early death but hell yeah !
Arizona Rider - 2 stroke goals
Some serious nostalgia here for me. When I was young, most of my ride buddies rode choppers and some swapped their batteries for capacitors. Given our penchant for night riding and occasional breakdown, I kept the battery and swapped out the rectifier/diode crap for an aftermarket solid state unit. During the same timeframe, another friend of mine had a race modded Kawi 2 cycle triple, and he let me ride it down the street once. Had a hard time finding a zone between stalling and wheelstanding. Once was enough, thank you. All that being said, I think I'd probably prefer riding this one to the pink bike from last time.
Man I’d love to ride an original... the widow maker.
I suspect the combination of experience and 50 lbs weight would make it easier to handle now. :p lol

This is a kick ass looking, sounding and performing scoot!!! When he fired it up my heart jumped at the memories of my buddies back in the day. Thanks for sharing this. Will be subscribing to him. Thanks for sharing. Don’t know how I missed this. Keeping it weird in Tennessee
I had one of those bikes in the early 90s. Really fun when they seize at speed
Steve Taylor thankfully you’re still here though
@@rosicroix777 ...I was wondering if the bloke riding that insane machine still is. I truly felt scared watching that. He's taken one of the most dangerous bikes ever built, made it more dangerous, then ridden it flat out with no gear on.
The middle carb should be set to run richer than the outside two, it got hotter than the other two causing it to seize.
I had a '69 H1 back in 1970. A little racing trick was to drain the tranny oil out and replace it with Type F ATF. It was lighter than the oil and it would also make the clutch grab a little better. However, the crank end seal on the output end of the crank didn't like the ATF and would leak after a while. With ported cylinders, the piston skirt would get a little squirt of ATF at bottom dead center(or there about) under hard throttle. I was racing a guy and had just hit 4th gear when suddenly.........silence....... It was spooky! 85mph...going from the wail of a 550cc triple breathing through a set of Bassani expansion chambers....to silence. Looked down, tach read 0 rpm, speedo was falling from 85mph. I pulled the clutch, the rear end wiggled a bit .then I coasted off to the side of the road. When I pulled it apart, only that cylinder had seized. I honed the bore, used fine emery paper on the piston and reinstalled it. It ran great....especially after I switched back to 30wt oil in the trans.......and replaced the flat spotted rear tire!
Imagine if the Toecutter had an H2 in Mad Max, wonder if the V8 Interceptor could,ve kept up with it then.
Cyborg Badger look they are not faster than a z900/1000 4 cylinder
Up until the first bend in the road, yes. The H2's weren't known for cornering, they had a lot of flex in the forks, brake fade was a problem.... and then there was the "light switch" powerband. Quite a few H2 owners put a red tick mark on their tach, to tell them "this is where you don't want to be leaned over."
@@georgeerhard1949 They didn't have a light switch powerband from stock. Very smooth and easy compared to any 2-stroke dirtbike. But people liked to buy pipes and porting for them, and that engine responds very badly to a "more bigger" port job. Those are the ones that hurt people. But there were a lot of idiots who bought one as a first bike in the 70s. Same guys that die on GSXRs today
If you were referring to the mohawked motorcycle character in road warrior the characters name was Wez , toecutter drove a car in mad max . There is always a bit of confusion because the villains names were rarely mentioned in any of the mad max movies . Also the H2 would out accelerate everything but didn’t have the top end of the 4 stroke 4 cylinder bikes , also had terrible handling in turns, tried a friends once in 86 and convinced me Not to buy it and get an 78’ CB400T2 instead , handled great in turns but nowhere as fast
@@rosicroix777 no i referring to the toecutter in the first film, the one who got splatted by the truck
the sound is just ahhhhhh
Soooo angry sounding lol
Just Tex is gay
Sounds like 20b rotor
When it first started I didn't quite get the appeal....but then he hit the straightaway....game changer
Great Work! Awesome Outcome!!
That thing is insane. The sound reminds me of the 90s riding triple triple snowmobiles. Two stroke triples sound so good!
Awesome! Love that hi pitch triple sound... Just listening reminded me of my GT380 days...
But you're 'So right' this is a whole different level. What a monster!
GM99MG
I had a gt250 for a little while , cool bike, it really shit all over my previous 79cb 400 !!
For some reason when I was a kid I accumulated like 4-5 1972 Suzukis , mostly ts/tc dirtbikes but that gt250 was a blast!! Wish I still had it.
I had the 380 in 1986, incredibly crazy machine for a 16 year old with no license. Good times.
How do u make a widow maker even gnarlier make it a chopper
Sometimes the most crazy ideas are the best. That's insanely cool.
I learned to ride bike on the 3 cylinder at that time, crazy to see this machine. And when I started out I puttered around for awhile and worked into it. Nice Job!!
Just damn that was awesome. And soo fast
Sweet baby Jesus how I love the angry-bees sound of a 2-stroke engine. It's the sweet symphony of poetry im motion.
I so desperately wanted a 2-stroke chopper before I bought my first motorcycle because it's so totally different from anything you'll ever see on the road.
I love that it pisses off the posers, while those who truly love petrol machines want to endlessly make babies with it.
I had a Titan 2-stroke for a short time and I cried like a child when I had to sell it.
Brilliant.absolutely brilliant! I Really enjoyed this. Hat's off to you guys!
That's amazing!!! Thanks for sharing guys
amazing sound, and the looks don t fit at all. love it xD
Actually The Term "Widow Maker" Came From The 1969 Kawasaki H1 500 Not The 1972 H2 🤔
I want to thank you for sharing this video I'm a mad to stroke lover myself I would definitely ride that thing!!!
I'm stunned how amazing this pure piece of art is,looks so amazing and functional, what a piece of work, she's gotta be worth a small fortune
That thing is bad ass. Kind of funny to see a chopper style bike sound like a angry chainsaw though.
RogueMogul wow really but what you don't know original choppers had Japanese engines
wow really but what you don't know is i was talking about it being a 2 stroke motor.
Lol that really is a mish mash of anything and everything. I would love to ride that.
Met the builder and saw the bike last night. Badass doesn't begin to describe it, and Eric, well, mad scientist.
I love those pipes. Very consistent to the look. I like them because they’re not curved directly from the engine and they look so good rigged like that. Damn nice.
Who wouldn’t ride that bike
+Grieg Ragen Choppers are not supposed to be comfortable though. Cruisers are for cruising comfortably, choppers are fucking choppers man! You cut it up make it look badass, run good and ride the shit out of it and if it ends up being comfy youre in luck! .. My 2 cents anyways what do i know.

He starts it with his hands😳
Wanna see somebody making this with a harley 😂
Oh yeah. Love the thought that went into this bike well done.
That bike is sweet. Great video. Glad you did it
Jesus Christ.
They ain’t no dad jeans. Those are boulder holders.
I have to clean my screen now. Damn that's awesome!
Between watching the bike and listening to the hilarious comments - I put this on my faves list lol
I absolutely love the kinda digger look. Very cool! Very cohesive design.
When I look at bikes I always think: I would have done... Not with this bike. Absolutely bad ass. I only disagree calling it a choper. Kind of a drag bike.
F#@k, 8:30 minutes in you called it a drag bike.
Watching the on board I want a set of protapers. Lol
the style is called a "digger". popularized by Arlen Ness in the 70s, they were choppers based off the drag bike aesthetic using typically Sportster engines or CB750-4's, long and low frames, prizm style tanks, and long rakes with relatively short front ends. rarely are these bikes on the road, let alone a track. mostly for show, but this one obviously has the go as well.
If anything he's improved the handling and safety of the H2 by eliminating the terrible OEM frame.
Not the first 2 stroke chopper I've seen, though usually the high torque output Jawa 350 twin seems to be popular for a powerplant.
They weren't that bad, just put together a bit fast and loose. With a little attention made to getting everything in the right tolerance, a lot of stock-frame H2s did serious road racing in the 70s. Even today if you assemble it well, you can show up at a vintage race and lay waste. Klemm Vintage did it at Willow Springs with a 500 H1 a few years ago, and nuked the class from orbit with stock pipes and carbs.
I learned to ride on a Kawasaki 500 cc 2 stroke when I was 16. Fun times! Great vid.
I had Suzuki GT 380 aged 16, good times! Kids these days are missing out on these deathtraps. 💀
This is one of the coolest, most off the wall custom bikes I have ever seen. Great job.
in a heartbeat , my 1st bike was a mach 3 500 ....
Always thought 500 was wilder than 750 myself.
@@waynesmith2287 bad bike to learn on , lol
@@waynesmith2287 Yup. And the later 750's were detuned.
@@796andy2 Not really....you learned quick to respect the throttle......real quick!
I'll ride it....when's demo day
That’s insane ! And sounds sick too !
This is it, a sports bike engine in a cool chopper kind of low motorcycle. i want a really comfortable one that can handle, and have extra traction, and braking capabilities. This is really inspiring.
H2 with chambers is insanely fast. Not sure if this chassis is better or worse than the stock one, which were famous for being terrible.
No. I'd get a wedgie.
What an amazingly beautiful build. Custom dreams keep motorcycles alive. That's the true beauty of motorcycles. (ALL MOTORCYCLES)!
You won the internet with this video.
When I saw H2 i thought he ment the 2019 H2
Fantastic idea for their next bike!
Emissions - FAIL
Handling - FAIL
Comfort - FAIL
Practicallity - FAIL
Noise level - FAIL
But somehow, F'king Win, Win, Win!!!!
Wonky Lommiter if you have emissions tests, move.
In 1972 I bought the H1R, it was a special order and came partly disassembled, didn't have any lights or signals just a bubble front screen and a 42" wheelie bar! Fastest bike I'd ever ridden at the time, 500cc 2stroke triple...you best be holding on when it comes on the pipe!
Thats a work of art.Beautifully done.
Want.
Would have been a great interview if you could have dropped the F Bombs.
Nice, Thanks for the time to share.
That's sick! Love the sound.
When can we get a framed print and technical drawing of this masterpiece? Absolutely stunning bike. A work of art!
I freaking love the Munsters! Sounds like a solid bike to ride around on. Dem custom pipes though! I need some.
That's one of the best H2 runs I've seen, in a very cool chopper of all things, I was going to say how dare you, but didn't dare!
Dude that's awesome. I've been working on a H2 chopper myself. (The 500 version). Been kinda neglecting it here lately but after watching this I'm all about getting back to the shop!! Video doesn't do justice to how awesome these things sound!!!!!
H1
Dude, you made me cry so hard in this video! I want to see u ride it next!
Love it. I just got myself a 197o Suzuki gs750 redoing the tank black has forward Honda controls love the older bikes they just keep running
Holy crap 4 years I've been following you lol
I tuned in 4 months after this was made
``This thing is the definition of hell on wheels``
Awesome bike, had a smile on my face the whole video. Triple 2 stroke from hell!
I am A FAN!!! Love the two strokes!! Love this bike!!! I ride a Connie 14 now days but have a 2003 GSXR sitting and waiting for a conversion project like this!
That bike is a beautiful piece of insanely powered art , sick genius
God damn, that thing sounds absolutely beautiful!!!
I can't get over that sound so good
That would be a hell of a ride. That bike is bad ass dude!
The best sounding engine i've heard to date!!!!!
Its just gorgeous. They were and are fast as heck.
What a awesome bike thanks for sharing this with us.
