It would actually not matter if it came undone. The thing about Schneizel and that is something Cornelia acknowledges, Charles mentioned and even the reason why Lelouch ended up victorious over Schneizel, is that he's absolutely dispassionate. He's someone who pretty much has no ambitions of his own and simply cares about maintaining the status quo. Hence Cornelia's acknowledgement that he'd have made a great peacetime Emperor.
The geass on him is mostly insurance but since Schneizel is all about making sure nothing upset the status quo he'll keep working towards whatever that is and thanks to Lelouch it's peacetime that aims to secure a better future for the world.
@@Scarthcaroth idk schneizel seems pretty rattled how lelouche tricked and geassed him. He might want revenge as soon as the geass command weakens.

I love how eerie this song is at the start, it’s as though there’s a monster chasing you down, but then it moves to the violins, which gives it a more humane sound as though it was suggesting that the monster was humanity all along.

Yeah. Schneizel was one of Lelouch few opponents where he _needed_ the Geass in order to win, unlike most of his rivals in where the Geass was incredibly useful but not necessary.
The other examples I can think in where Lelouch couldn't have won without his powers are against other Geass users like Mao or Shamna, or when not using Geass would lead to a whole different strategy like his 'Orange' bluff.
Speak volumes of Schneizel's intelligence that he could corner Lelouch like that.
That one character I wished had more screen time.
