Well, ALI Project (the performer of this song) did write and composed some Valkyrie songs like Enthralling Theatre and Sacred Youths’ Games so it’s understandable why it fits their vibes.

I really feel sorry for ALI PROJECT (the artist of this song). They're such musical, lyrical and visual geniuses but I never realized up until now that many people hate them due to their works being "off-putting", "weird" and "sounds the same". They deserve more praise than that.
I really love their "Halloween-ish" or creepy style in both the vocals and the music itself

Their song pretty suited with code geass theme, tragedy, mythology, bitter sweetness, sacrifices, betrayal, family conflict, appeal of human nature and greed. I really love this song when l was a kid l didn't even know what the plot is about since l was just a kid just watching out of boredom in channels but can't took off my attention away from this ed song. Surprisingly l got the gist of plot by listening to the tone of ed itself.
I do like their songs, at least the ones I've heard, but I can't deny that some of their songs have a same kind of feel or style to them. For example, whenever I hear this song it instantly reminds me of their Kinjirareta Asobi song (Rozen Maiden opening theme). They have a really unique and distinct style which makes them stand out from other artists but it may come at cost of some of the songs sounding similar. Although, I do think the same often applies to some other artists too. Anyway, my main point is that I think their songs are great.

Anyone here from the latest Enstars cover song announcement? Just crying because it’s Valkyrie and Akatsuki who will sing this song 😭
Unlike other code geass songs, this one in particular sounds like a song kid Lelouch is singing, so it hits really deep. Especially the parts that are aimed at his parents like "Oh father", "Oh Mother".

And I like how it's quite a contrast to the first opening in tone, much like how Magia from Madoka Magica is a contrast from it's first opening. The way I see it, the first opening is loud, bombastic, and enthusiastic. Very lively, like it paints Lelouch as a hero that goes up against the evil that is the Emperor of Britannia. Then the ending by contrast, is malevolent in tone, painting Lelouch's anti-hero side, and it seems to give off some kind of foreshadowing on how he would eventually fall down the dark slope of hatred, manipulation, and malice. The harmony of the song itself also resembles the sound of what I can describe as a revolutionary hymn, which is a nice metaphor to how revolutions may seem noble and benevolent in percieved goal, but oppresive and manevolent in action and especially outcome, becoming the very same monster that they once scorned and rebelled against, which is also what Lelouch has become later in the series. It all goes back to Nitzche's quote of "he who fights monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster". From that perspective, this song is really good in my opinion. Poetic lyrics, a pleasingly manevolent, "revolutionary hymn-like" harmony, and excellent vocals. This song is criminally underrated. (:

Man, Ali Project is amazing at what they do. I wish they made more songs, but they're a little quiet, only releasing a few songs every few years. Oh well, more of an excuse to go listen to my favourites!

The end of the ending clearly embodies the fact that Suzaku and Lelouch abandoned their former dreams, which destroyed the castle, and with it built a new one, even if they had to go through a thorny path, at the end of which they did not expect happiness, but everyone close to them got it.
