We bought a 1 owner, dealer maintained '06 LS430 Ultra with 100K miles about 6 years ago. It now has 228K. Routine milestone maint items have been done. New radiator, AC compressor and air bag delete. Still looks great and interior is perfect. Everything still works. My wife's daily driver, and she's a calm, cautious driver. Paid $10k.
My 06 has 87k. I just took my 92 525i to the junkyard put 372459 miles on it, drove it for 26 years. Happy to know my ls will last longer than my old BMW. Ls 430 is the best car in the world ever made!!!
@@AdventureeX it was the emmision laws that took it off the road it was a shame getting rid of it, ran as good as the day I bought it, those older ones run forever have a great day friend 😊

I agree on the ML. It’s junk. But mine still works except for the CD changer. Nothing else has gone wrong other than a couple of rear license plate bulbs. Whoever did this review is too negative. This is the best Lexus LS ever made. Nothing since runs as good. The leather on mine still looks new. No creases or cracks. I have over 100,000 miles. I’m looking to buy another one. A low mileage mint 430. This car beats every luxury car on the market from this era on up to today.
I would say the most common trouble issue is a leaky power steering pump and/or bad AIC valve is mostly certain to happen to all 1UZ-3UZ engines at some point in older age.

He isn’t bashing the vehicle he’s giving a realistic explanation for common issues with the vehicle it’s a great car but no car is perfect im watching this because I plan to purchase one and this is a great help to show me what to test and look for as well as to what to expect when I have issues
Hi Dat Tepo, just happened to me, dealer claims the tranny is bad, but reading several threads make me think bad ecu, have codes for solenoid A and B (1&2)
I don't really understand this video. We have an '05 Base/Premium and despite the fact that it has lived outdoors for 18 years, everything works fine and the ride quality is heavenly. I do make sure that all fluids and filters are scrupulously kept up to date, but other than that the doggone car just works. It costs so little to insure, at least with my insurance company (USAA) that it's almost a joke. Does guzzle gas around town but mileage is great on the highway. We drive it every single day and while not in showroom condition it's pretty close.

Still, looks great inside and out. Everything works including rear seat massage and cooling. Stereo original. Gonna need some front end attention soon.

Nice mileage on the E39. My dad had a 528i E39 with like 370,000 miles on it and he said it was great.

That ML sound is both a blessing and a curse, it sounds good, but if you try to mix anything else in there and it’s the SLIGHTEST bit off your screwed

Anything happens to a 20 year old car is a good problem to have. Those that do not last as long do not get to have problems.

The hard down shift is some times fixed by rebuilding the ecu

No no no. Ecu is fine. Transmission is fine. Lexus did an update years ago very simple and cheap. Dealer can do the update.
2006 LS430 stuck in 3rd gear with code P0761. replaced solenoid and rebuilt ecu and still have issue NO ACTUAL answers to this issue
