These sights are essential to tell the difference between human and vampire targets. Edit: You can also recognize an ATF agent by their lack of heat signature
Kinda like those on-windshield speedometers - The thermal image is overlayed onto the surface of the bottom glass assembly. When you put the lens down, you remove the “backlight” for the thermal - and now the image that is viewing the bottom lens is shown with the thermal view mirrored onto it. That means you should be able to use it without thermal

Did you see that CZcams video debunking height over bore? They had some kind of precision bolt rifle with a 2 foot high mount. I was blown away. I thought forsure the closer to bore the more accurate it would be.
@@TheIronFourth the issue I've heard isn't about accuracy but effective zero distance. Essentially you can zero a scope at any mechanical offset from the barrel, but the more significant the offset the more your point of impact will shift at different ranges

@@benisontenison8225 I bought a thermal spotting scope for 599 and I use it’s mounted to left off my optics and my doing is to the right so this thermal scope has a cross hair setting so I dialed the cross hairs in with my optics and my dot it’s close enough to hit a chest at 100 yards

It has about 5 different thermal settings green red black white and white and red I think it has a optical zoom as well. Now no it isn’t as good as a 5k thermal but if it’s pitch black I can spot heat signatures of a person good to 100 yards . A small animal about 60 yards birds in a tree around 40 yards. When the price comes down if it does I will get a dedicated one. I just needed something I could use in a zero light situation close range
