Han and Seungmin said somewhere that they wrote it for each other when they were struggling a bit (though SKZ songs can have multiple interpretations and their lyrics can always be for anyone and any person can relate)

They only talked about it on 2 kids show! They performed it on their magic school fanmeet for the first time way before this officially released. I think the management was giving them a hard time because han kept mentioning how he was hoping it would get released.
I feel like as much as it is likely aimed towards Stays the lyrics could also apply to/be aimed towards the other members (and then just anyone who can relate to the kinds of feelings and struggles they touch on)
I personally also really relate to it bc I went through depression and other mental health issues as a teenager for many years too
Definitely a possibility (and honestly all their songs can be interpreted in different ways), but I’m pretty sure I saw that Seungmin and Han said it was for each other
@@gabriellecarroll5085 that makes so much sense! By "other members" I also meant just (an)other member(s) from each of their perspective, it's very special if it's for eachother as in the two of them
I agree with everything you said about this song, the lyrics are so relatable and their vocals are just outstanding. I heard somewhere they wrote this song together some time ago when they were both going through a hard time and were supporting each other through it. Jisung said they will try to do a live stream together and talk about it when they both are free.
It also really infuriates me when I hear people saying SKZ vocals aren't that strong. One of the things I love about them the most is that every single member has an utterly unique and distinguishable vocal tone, I can always pick out every members part in all their songs. The vocal line (Chan, Lee Know, Han, Seungmin and I.N) in particular have improved dramatically over the years and are in fact very technically talented.

We're waiting when they can come and talk about it live, but this song was a long project they had, they've talked about respirators existence for years and seems like they wrote it when they were younger and shit was harder. So..yeah.. dedicated to stay but also to themselves.
Han also released SKZ RECORD called 1,2,3,4,5 featuring NMIXX member. like a month ago? have you seen it??
When they talk sh-- about Seungmin's vocal ability I wanna have fight with them. They really didn't watch Seungmin's solo projects like leemujin service, love poem, volcano, hold on, song by and his covers. There is no way they say his vocal isn't amazing enough. And other members are really good vocalists too.
