Thank God Bill Gates Microsoft systems changed that and made things 100,000,000 times easier. In my 10 years of coding career I have realised knowledge mathematics , logical analysis and all knowledge which we gained through school and college is very much needed to code. It is not just about learning to code. It is about understanding the requirements, analysing requirements and ++ knowledge of mathematics which makes a good coder.
Let kids be kids, let them gain knowledge at their own pace. Let them sing , dance , play instrument, or paint. Just let them enjoy their childhood.

Primary education needs to be based more towards nurturing human-centric skills. And we as parents need to support our children's in this journey.

children will memorize the code in school like they do most of the subjects. Recipe for disaster. If you want to improve the education system then just remove all of the exams and instead create projects. each kid will do an individual product of the subject matter and question according to their project should be asked. simple. this way kids will actually learn the things and also won't be able to cheat. Plus there is no pressure to pass a 10 memory test exams to get 90% above scores.

Though this system sounds perfect there's caveats in this too. School projects get copied left and right and it will be only possible by giving everyone unique projects every year which is not feasible. Also memorization is a part of almost every skill there is hence ignoring it absolutely would not be beneficial for anyone (even though suck in memorizing this is true). Also what about the students who don't wanna pursue science in their careers? I know there won't be any perfect system but the marks of an individual should be a certain percent of a project and a certain percent of marks which is what we currently have but the exam pattern and how projects are handled are absolutely rubbish.

Aur brain ka gray matter logical and creative task karne se badhta hai. Ratta marne se bhi badhta hai lekin wo tarika kam effective hai.

  • @sb7707

Everyone MUST learn to code! It teaches pure logic without any emotions, and it is a valuable tool in the modern e-world. It always helps to know how things work in the background. One tends to make less of a fool of themselves. But to be good at coding you must first be good at maths and english. An age of 4-5 is just too young. We were taught coding at the right time, in 7-8th standard(13-14 years old). By then we already had a good grasp on maths, english and the sciences. Education has to be well planned and systematic. There is a timing for everything. There is a reason we follow recipes and don't just dump everything at once into the pot, heat it and call it food. Also, PARENTS WITH LOWER IQ/INTELLIGENCE than their children, should not be making decisions for their children's future. I'm not saying they can't be parents, but such people should not decide for others. We need to figure out a system how. At the age of 4-5, I'd rather give discipline, morals, honor, critical thinking and physical fitness more priority. Currently we are just churning out people with technical intelligence but no moral or social intelligence. A childhood is supposed to be an experience that leads to development. IT cant be taught/spoon fed.
