Children are not startups. But in the rush to teach kids coding at an early age, are we treating them like one? Coding won't go away anytime soon, but childhood will. Let's make kids explore before making them excel.

When I was in school in 90s we had this subject called Computer. And what I learned was the definition of computer.
😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👌👌👌
When I was in middle school (1990s) our computer / tech class was called Keyboard Literacy. It was basically a typing class using computers instead of typewriters. I recalled having one of those ol' school 1970s computers where you needed to use codes to print or save stuff in real floppy disks. Thank God Bill Gates Microsoft systems changed that and made things 100,000,000 times easier. Florida being a retirement Republican state has always been 10 to 20 years behind of everyone else, definitely 30 years behind of Democratic states like New York and other Northern states.
@@LadyCoyKoi wow

Teaching coding at an early stage will close that window of intelligence. Anyone can learn coding, but not anyone can do a cartwheel 🙂, don't take away their childhood. We miss ours .

Exactly... childhood in 90s was all about playing real games with friends.

i used to do and say the exact same thing. kids nowadays are not kids anymore, they becomes adult at a tender age and doesn't get to enjoy their childhood. they will never know the joy the 90's kids had and the generations before them.
Today's 6 yo won't know the moon follows them
I am a father of a 6 years old boy. I totally agree with you. I feel at this age he should learn socialization skill, basic math, communication. Learning coding might not help him at this tender age.
Exactly.... if it intrigues him he will learn anything 💯
Same thoughts here.
Lucky son
I am a coder myself. In my 10 years of coding career I have realised knowledge mathematics , logical analysis and all knowledge which we gained through school and college is very much needed to code. It is not just about learning to code. It is about understanding the requirements, analysing requirements and ++ knowledge of mathematics which makes a good coder.
Let kids be kids, let them gain knowledge at their own pace. Let them sing , dance , play instrument, or paint. Just let them enjoy their childhood.
This was a premium situation to address - we have a chance to see how to respond to people who want to control people’s children. OMG - please leave the children alone and let them enjoy their childhood and help them learn about what it is to be a human 1st♥️🙏🏾
Overpopulated country like ours parents feel fear that their children will become unemployed and take them to such lenghts
This fear is what companies like whitehat Jr exploits
Parents need to understand that cognitive skill learning in life will be of far more use to a child than a trendy language learning in coding , an average CS engineer isn't the best job one can get
Parents should breed less children in the first place
Then stop having kids if overpopulation is the problem for these ‘parents’ 😂😂 Idk when Indians will understand that it’s not compulsory to have kids. Condoms are readily available. Use it.

@aena mustafa As someone who did a bootcamp, and is finishing comp uni, I would say depending on what you want to do, for example, the bootcamp that I did was a full-stack developer in web development, I like to think that if you want to be a mason or is undecided a bootcamp is enough if you want to be an engineer or architect probably uni is required, besides that comp sci is a huge area, much like medicine, just without the years of specialization during uni, so during the course is best even if is just a few months to try the most areas that you can, and see what you like because if you like network maybe you don't like AI, or you like AI but hate hardware so instead of trying to learn this during jobs is best you have some idea during uni. What I don't know if depending on the area is required a Masters's degree to found a job? XD
@aena mustafa For freshers, university is the safest route. Companies consider you based on the universities' reputation. It is the set path.
If a boot-camp runner has tie up with a IT company and providing them with specific skilled people. Like spaceship coding, which WhiteHag here is providing. :P And guaranteeing you the job then consider such camps.

Right, all this was never about kids being pushed into this ridiculousness but the company ads that's the problem.
@@renthokstu kids never were the target of ads . Parents were .
@@darkseid856 I was being sarcastic because the op says she has a problem with ads on her phone, I don't think she isn't all that concerned abt the gross abuse these children are put through for whitehat. Jr's economic benefit. Hence I made a sarcastic comment which is obviously lost on you. :)
Thank god! I thought i was the only 16 year old in the world who knew nothing of coding... i was almost depressed.
This is basically feeding on the fear of parents... And also robbing children of their childhood.. No kid between 4-16/17 years old should be made to sit infront of the computer, be depressed about future and be made to run behind money
children will memorize the code in school like they do most of the subjects. Recipe for disaster. If you want to improve the education system then just remove all of the exams and instead create projects. each kid will do an individual product of the subject matter and question according to their project should be asked. simple. this way kids will actually learn the things and also won't be able to cheat. Plus there is no pressure to pass a 10 memory test exams to get 90% above scores.
If only this was implemented..
This is so true
@@ryuga2852 at least spread the word, may be someone will act upon it.
Though this system sounds perfect there's caveats in this too. School projects get copied left and right and it will be only possible by giving everyone unique projects every year which is not feasible. Also memorization is a part of almost every skill there is hence ignoring it absolutely would not be beneficial for anyone (even though suck in memorizing this is true). Also what about the students who don't wanna pursue science in their careers? I know there won't be any perfect system but the marks of an individual should be a certain percent of a project and a certain percent of marks which is what we currently have but the exam pattern and how projects are handled are absolutely rubbish.
@@sohagdas8351 projects do not mean science projects. For a kindergarten kid the project might be to make painting or craft. And yes it should be unique to everyone because everyone has different skills and intelligence. Rahi baat memory ki to wo apne aap strong hoti agar brain ka gray matter badhega. Aur brain ka gray matter logical and creative task karne se badhta hai. Ratta marne se bhi badhta hai lekin wo tarika kam effective hai.
This Video was much needed , According to them We Engineers are here to just watch them and we learn these things for years
Everyone MUST learn to code! It teaches pure logic without any emotions, and it is a valuable tool in the modern e-world. It always helps to know how things work in the background. One tends to make less of a fool of themselves. But to be good at coding you must first be good at maths and english. An age of 4-5 is just too young. We were taught coding at the right time, in 7-8th standard(13-14 years old). By then we already had a good grasp on maths, english and the sciences. Education has to be well planned and systematic. There is a timing for everything. There is a reason we follow recipes and don't just dump everything at once into the pot, heat it and call it food. Also, PARENTS WITH LOWER IQ/INTELLIGENCE than their children, should not be making decisions for their children's future. I'm not saying they can't be parents, but such people should not decide for others. We need to figure out a system how. At the age of 4-5, I'd rather give discipline, morals, honor, critical thinking and physical fitness more priority. Currently we are just churning out people with technical intelligence but no moral or social intelligence. A childhood is supposed to be an experience that leads to development. IT cant be taught/spoon fed.
Children are losing their chilhood due to coding and all...
I wanna learn codding
Soon adults will lose their jobs due to computers replacing them. It is not hard to understand this in 2021.
@@haseebpavaratty6249 yeah but how can we stop that we can't pretty much do anything to stop that, if you can't compete them join them
@@relaxstation600 That would be a temporary solution. It will keep replacing the easier part as it grows. Even the easier coding part are being done by computers now. Maybe the last one to lose jobs are software devs.
@Blaxer XO yes you r right
These Tech Training companies claiming that those trained kids would be founders of million dollars companies soon. So they should take 1% of company shares instead 99K INR, if they are really confident about their training.
Perfectly said
exactly, well put!
@lohith yeah actually you can learn coding for free. If parents knew this before, whiteblyat would have filed for bankruptcy (probably)
@@slavboii420 Umm... And what about other subjects? Maths, History, Geography, English? Can't you study those on the Internet for free? But schools aren't going bankrupt. Because institutions like WhiteHat and schools don't just provide knowledge about the topic, but regulate how much detail you need to study in a given age, how much do you need to study per day, take tests to check if you really studied and much more
@@biplabkumarghosh6300 yes yes, we should learn coding at the age of 6 from whiteblyat, when the kids don't even know addition, subtraction and stuff like that and those "teachers" (yes they are double quotes) regulate what should be taught to children who don't know basic math. And all the things that whiteblyat teach can be learnt easily from other free coding apps and/ or CZcams itself. I think you are a whiteblyat student, maybe that is why you are talking rubbish like this and supporting them. And honestly, have you learnt everything from school or from internet. For me, it is the latter.
Wow, You are so astute. Loved listening to this piece. So rightly put.
Good point.Your concern is important.
I am really glad that FINALLY a media house has brought this up, and it will be a Huge moral boost for Pradeep Poonia. Kudos to Wion n Palki Sharma for this.
I became a web developer after 4 yrs of btech + 5 yrs of Infosys experience still I lack in some skills 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How much in-hand salary fresher get in Infosys? , What they teach in training ?, Will their training help me to clear product companies or it is ok to be in Infosys to get experience and switch ?
Aur bhi question puuch lete bhaiya, itne par kyu Ruk gaye😂?
@@utkarshgupta30 Your reply is hilarious 😂
And guess what? Most web development companies don’t need a degree. You could’ve just learnt a lot online.
