Why didnt the dsp bring the frequencys all up to 0 db ?
I have a key 500.1 and i absolutely love this amp if u really understand what this unit does its truly amazing I have it hooked up to 2 12 comp c subs and it gets down.

The new Solo X will have recone kits available. For other models, we simply replace them when someone has an issue, provided the subs are covered under warranty.
So two questions. You set the low, mids and highs to flat. After you set everything can we adjust those settings back to where we have them set or is it recommended to keep it flat? 2nd question is why do we set this at 3/4 of max volume. I go nowhere near that while listening. My factory radio goes to 40, I did this whole setup at 30 and again at 20 (closer to where I listen to it at) I feel I got more bass(what I want) at reasonable audio volume. To get more bass(at 3/4 from max)I had to raise the volume way too high to get the bass I wanted. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for your help in advance.
Keeping it set flat wouldn't be mandatory. We have you do that to let the mic and processor do its job. Setting the volume at 3/4 it a generic method of avoiding a heavily clipped signal during setup. Once the setup is done, adjust the volume as needed.
Where is the bass in thulis thing in lower volume?
Nice walk through of the product looking forward to using mine. One question, my stock car head unit has a subwoofer level slider for the rear mounted sub. What should I set this to when configuring the amp? - nothing, or some percentage? I also will be using the subwoofer wires to connect to the 500.1, not a full range speaker connection, any adjustment or suggestion for this?
Optimally, you set the radio to a volume just before clipping if you have an oscilloscope. You do this with the included test tone track. If you don't have access to a scope, we normally suggest you turn the radio to 3/4 of full volume. The test tones are here: www.kicker.com/test-tones
Can the key handle an L7R at 2Ohm?
I think I set my amp up wrong.Can wait to set it and hear what I've been missing out on.

Can this be combined with the KeyLoc 200.4?
Sure. Just be sure the 200 is tuned first, if you're integrating the 500 into the same set of speaker wires.
@@KICKER-AUDIO can you explain this step, i'm planning to buy both amps and I'm not sure how to hook them. I only have one pair of full rane signal that goes into the 200, how can i get this signal to the 500?
What is the ‘correct’ way to share the 4 channel high level audio signal from my factory head unit with 2 Kicker Key amps? The Kicker Key 200.4 and the Kicker 500.1 together?
Am I suppose to get LOC with summing to convert the factory 4 channel high levels to 5 channel RCA preouts? Or am I suppose to just wire things up to directly feed the rear factory speaker high level output signal to both amps simultaneously. Split the speaker wire into two signal leads with a crimped connection?
