I guess I’m watching this to make myself feel better about buying the 11”.
I havent own any but i think i will buy 11 even im broke cos i wanna do video editing i want to do it like anywhere
@@lykaaytz Well even though I watched the video to make myself feel better about buying one They are great I had 2018 11” iPad Pro and loved it but the screen had orange burn marks in it and the battery was not lasting as long. To be fair I had it for almost 5 years and drop it a couple of times. I wanted to get the iPad Air but you can only get 256gb and it has the M1 which is great also but I wanted more storage the 512gb plus the M2 will be more future proof my last one was 1tb but that’s just to much money.
@@MattMorris481 oh yah i wanted to get the 512 gb and m2 cos im using insta 360 so it really needs more allowance on file also i like to play mobile games so i think 12.9 will give me biceps nice urs still good for that many years i think every apple product just really sucks on battery whats with the burn marks though?
@@lykaaytz the burn marks showed up around the edges I’m told it’s from being dropped it I had drop it a couple of times.
I purchased the 11” but cancelled it after watching these reviews.
Definitely worth it the upgrade when you’re paying this much money
i'm going for the 11'' iPad Pro (with magic keyboard), since I already have a Macbook Pro 13'' and the reason for getting an iPad is because I want it to be easier to bring with me when I travel as my Macbook is quite heavy to carry. but if you're a person who is going to use the iPad as a laptop, I would 100% go for the 12.9''.
Great - thanks !
All I’ve ever wanted is a Mini Pro. Small enough to ACTUALLY take with me and ACTUALLY use, but has LiDAR (I know I’m niche but I need it) and can handle RAW and and more intensive tasks like 3D modeling etc.
I am still rocking an iPad Pro 10.5” but I required a more proper computer and ended up with a MacBook Air M1. Now I’m looking at a potential iPad replacement and while I love a big honking screen for many things, I don’t think that would be the most useful for me at this point. I’ve got a whole ecosystem of connectivity with external displays and handoff all over the place now, so I just want that specific, pro spec’d, small-enough-to-use-in-public iPad with brilliant cameras.
I have the 11" M1 Pro, which I use as business travel personal tech, because I travel a lot for business. My work laptop case and universal plug adaptor goes into overhead storage on a plane, while my waterproof, reinforced, padded TomToc case with my iPad and all its accessories (MKB, Pencil, storage, charging, AirPods Pro, cables, dongle) goes under the seat in front. The separate tablet portion is a snug fit for the iPad with MKB and Pencil, but that's good, because it keeps the Pencil in place and prevents potential damage to the iPad by flopping and bouncing around in a bag.
Just upgraded from the 2017 10.5 inch to 2018 12.9 inch and I absolutely love it. I mainly use my iPad for content consumption (watching videos, movies, gaming, web browsing etc.) Just got the pencil and drawing is really cool. Took some getting used to but the larger display just makes everything feel more enjoyable and now my old one just feels small and I could never go back! Plus the speakers are INSANE. All about personal preference I guess.
Did your get the magic keyboard?
I personally used an iPad Pro 11 (1st gen) for the past few years. It's very versatile as it works perfectly for serious work on a desk but also as a handheld device. A few weeks ago I decided to get the 12.9 M2 model which is even better when used on a desk with its bigger screen (which makes split-screen so much better). As it's much bigger and heavier it's not great for handheld use though. So I decided to also get an iPad mini 6 which is fantastic on the go (like in public transportation) and which shines as an e-book reader and small digital notebook. So with these two devices I can now do what I previously did with my 11 inch model, but at a much higher price. 😂
E-Book? What about normal book? I suposed u don't know what a book is ....🤦

So, all I'm hearing is you wasted money on 2 devices to do the job of one of them...
good advice bro, short but full of information.
It was also a tough decision for me but I just bought the 11 inch. I think the portability is really important personally. I want to use it as an Ipad and not a laptop to just stay at home. It's also really nice to watch some things in bed. The 12,9 is pretty heavy.
It’s still heavy until this day😮coming from a 1st generation of iPad Pro
The portability and handling issue is solved woth the stylus, which allows you to reach the click point with the stylus pen
thank you for helping me by giving this important information
Straight to the point.
Appreciate it Brotha!
I have the 11 inch m2 with 1tb and cellular and love it
I took the 12,9 modell, because the 11 Inch was too small for me for studying and writting - i feel much better and the logitech keyboad isnt that small
Nice delivery/ Narration 🍻
Thank you so much!
Thank you your video was helpful
Nicely done bro
excellent analysis
I want the pro for the specs but wanted the 11 for portability, but I have to take a loss bc I don’t want a laptop?
Best video ever thanks!
I was going to buy the 11” M1 on sale for $699 but Best Buy had the 12.9” M1 open box excellent condition for $719! Even if I notice the blooming effect, I can’t complain when I am saving $400.
That's M1 chip
good on you, you’ll never notice the difference between the m1 and m2 anyways
you should have mentioned XDR (HDR brightness beyond 600) only kicks in on video and photo. If you don't watch video on your iPad, the 12.9" is a pointless upgrade unless you need the screen real estate. Both will browse the web at 600 nits, which makes the XDR trivial.
Who doesn't watch videos on their iPad???
@@XJLCA I watch best movies on my OLED TV with home cinema... we doesn't need HDR when watching CZcams... the brightness is more important (for outside/sunny day)
Good job Cyrus!
What’s your thoughts on monitor support? Does the 11 inch iPad Pro become more multitasking usability if you say you’re on the go when you use the smaller screen but when you get home you plug into a monitor.
Hey. Yes, absolutely. When connected to external monitors, both the iPad Pro 11" and 12.9" are great for multitasking. But for many people, that might not be a factor that'll be considered.
For you, though, yes. You absolutely can multitask way better with an external monitor. This video shows it off really well: czcams.com/video/oaRgm3hXB2Y/video.html
Hope this helps. Have a wonderful day!
I’m astounded with the clarity of your voice, tbh
Thank you!
Dude your awesome! You need to hit Hollywood
I got the 12.9 absolutely stunning display.😊
Not sure if I should get iPad Air 64 gb or the iPad Pro, and in that case which iPad Pro. Paying twice from iPad Air to 12.9 inch iPad Pro does not seem reasonable, but I would like the larger screen. iPad 10 is out of the question because it does not have M1, so will likely not have long support.
I am definitely going for 12.9 inch one. Only because I love the mini led and larger speaker size and screen.
I had the 12.9 and the mini-led has a weird ghosting that happens. Got the 11 and couldn’t be happier.
Thank you for this excellent video, I’m going to get the 11 inch one.
Glad it helped! Enjoy the new iPad!!!

Non the wiser after watching this, thanks for telling me things i already knew.
I would go for the 12.9 version . I would buy it in few months
I had gotten the 11 inch pro and I didn’t look at them in person. I kind of went off online and didn’t want to get the 12.9 inch just because I thought it was gonna be too big but now I find myself wanting a MacBook Pro so maybe I should’ve got in the 12.9 inch instead but I do use mine for portability and mainly watching videos and Netflix occasional drawing.
I went for the 11 cause I already had the 11 in Magic Keyboard from my air 4. I honestly don’t have any issues with the size and while I do video and photo editing on my ipad, I don’t do enough to justify the bigger screen. I think most people will be happy with either one. They are so powerful its insane.

I need help.. I’m a student going into high school and I need a device that I can use to take pictures of screens and type on at the same time like a normal laptop. Everyone recommended me the IPad Pro which I also think is the better choice. But I’m confused with which version to go. Here are a few of my needs. (I’m currently using the 2018 IPad 6th generation)
Needs:
-Easy notetaking
-Gaming/playing games
-Good Battery Life (enough to last 8 hours)
-Accessible
-Can handle multiple apps and more at a time
If you guys see a better option for me on a different device please tell me…
The battery life goes to the 11 inch, its also a bit more portable but the iPad 12 inch is better for note taking. I use the 11 inch for games and I really enjoy the experience, i personally have big fingers tho so I kind of have trouble typing. Still I would recommend for its portability not to mention it better fits a budget that isn’t very big.
Even after watching the video can't make a decision :)

Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Haha, thank you!
Thank you!! I’ve been debating between the two. I’m only using it for drawing, but the 11 just sounds like the better choice.
Great video. I would say pay the price of the 11 inch $799 for the M1 version of the 12.9 which is on sale now for that $799. Unless you need the portability.

I mean I atleast will have a new one that will last a bit longer then the 2021.. but honestly idk if I should just return it or go for another iPad. I even tried getting the air but it turned out to be the similar price as the pro so yeah.. what do you guys think?

@@peytonwms128 yes I agree I’ve actually decided to go with the 11”❤️❤️❤️
Couldn’t justify getting a 12.9 for an extra $400 CAD. The 11 can do everything the 12.9 can and it’s more of a tablet being portable. I already have a gaming laptop that’s 17.3 so it was an easy decision for my first iPad.

Hm. That's a good question! For gaming, I'd probably prefer the bigger and brighter screen of the 12.9 inches iPad Pro.

i got the 11 pro 4th gen 2022
I want to love apple but apple just makes it hard. The fact that the two M2 iPad Pro "11 in and 12.9 in" have diff factors. They make the 12.9 better so you could buy it and more expensive, they just decrease the amount of power in the 11 in rather than the 12.9 in. I feel like they should've given the same factors for both the 11 in and the 12.9 in.
If they did that there would be no reason to buy the 12.9 because both the 11 and 12.9 would be the same except the size and price and have everything in common
@@roxannahewitt4434 Some people prefers more portable and more battery
That's what you call Marketing Strategy and every company does this.
Which will be good for gaming???
Both are same
Not sure which one to choose, because I plan to use procreate mostly and maybe a little gaming. But as much as the pros and cons are there, if price wasn't a problem, what does anyone think I should choose as far as which is more powerful than the other?
I'm in the same situation, but i think I'm going to go with the 11",
I've been using the 1st gen 11" for the past few years and the portability is key especially sitting on the sofa and using procreate, as I have the money I'm thinking do I go for the 12.9" but I'm seeing a lot of people mention the weight and that it can be awkward in comparison to the 11" and that portability is a higher priority than a 'slightly' better screen
@@samburt4491 what about performance wise? Same thing basically
@Victor B from what I have researched over the past 2 weeks, the only difference in hardware is the xdr display, which only benefits you when watching videos.
And then there is surface area which is irrelevant with procreate as you can zoom in and out of your canvas anyway...
My takeaways are is it worth the extra 350 and loss of portability for a barely noticeable difference if I decide to watch a video
@@samburt4491 thanks for the tip really helps
@@samburt4491 well, depends that “barely noticeable difference”, because for me as someone having vision issues then for me optimal screen is crucial.

I don't rate Apple products but I want that 8gb ram and also because Windows software makers appear to only invest in apple apps lol.
The 12.9 is getting way too close to a laptop whilst being worse specs than what I'd like in a laptop. Wish they put the screen on the 12.9 on the 11. But whatever, I probably wouldn't care since I didn't notice anything until I saw it in a review 😅.
Definitely a tough decision to make, for sure. Wish they'd upgrade the 11-inch one as well. I would also recommend Surface Pro products or something like a 2-in-1. Those might be better for your workload.
