- Today I'll be teaching you how to make a good block design in geometry dash !!
In this video, you'll see the difference between a block design made by a beginner and a more experienced creator. Hope you enjoy watching it :) - Hry
I sure do love spending hours on block design!1!1!1!1
i did that block in 30 minutes tho, and i would just copy and paste it's details and even the entire block itself if i used it in an actual part or level, so yeah
it does take some effort to come up with an idea and a good execution, but It's really satisfying when you manage to make your creations look good
Say that on a devil of flames video. That dude spended 10 hours just for a 5 block structure
@@vit124 Im soo scared getting into creating levels, any tips? sorry for asking...

Although I wouldn't consider myself a beginner, this video included a ton of valuable information and advice that no other geometry dash tutorial really talks much about. Thank you for making this since most other tutorials are really outdated, the fact that I was able to learn some important things I didn't know before watching is awesome.
LMFAO the 3d in the thumbnail is genius bro
3 LIKES?!?!?!??!?!?!?
who summoned Voxicat lol
Lol
HUH😊
Hey voxicat
Oh my goodness i wish there was a video as good as this a few years back, im so demotivated to decorate or even build at all these days and i could not understand how to make anything pleasing. Thank you for bringing this into the world :3
This inspired me to continue one of the levels I have been making. I have used some of your tips and it looks 2x better already. Nice video btw! Hope you keep up the great work and I also sincerely hope you keep making videos like this so I can make my levels better!
this ytber is so underrated, this video is very helpful and he's spitting straight facts, as a beginner I simply cannot make a block design but this helps, thank you!
This is super cool! And it's really helping me build better, i learnt that how to put those black outline things in your blocks as i could understand how extreme demons such as celestial force (i think) did it. I can also now see how lines are really important for block deco, which were similarly used in codex's part in cybernetic crescent. Finally i could use where you put the glow in your block as a guide to help me pinpoint the best spots in my levels to use glow. This was really helpful, thanks so much!
Amo teus vídeos cara❤❤ vou fazer uma Deco inspirado em vc :))
Very straightforward, very understandable and very underrated! Teached me a lot as a beginner! New sub!
Really good video Vit!
this is the best tutorial for block design on yt
this actually helped me a lot, and gave me some cool ideas. thank you!
5:14 that design reminds me of the level "Energizer"
vit has part in energizer
Genuinely useful, thanks!
Tysm for this awesome tutorial, it helped a lot.
Thank you for making this, I’ll think I’ll start actually putting effort to my objects, i think it will really make them look way better then they look,
best Brazilian creator tbh
i like how at 3:01, he skips the reverse dash orb and continues with a upside down ship
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
(Joke on you, that just somehow unsatisfy to watch).

Heg bro i know most people dont see it but its so cool to see that u are from brazil (me too) i play for a long time but i didnt have the real version so i only had the skill to play like easy demons, thanks for the video its like 4 years and the only thing i really improve its gameplay :)
I started playing like a week ago and i want to be a pro at making levels and playing them and this was helpful! Thank you ^^
I'm never gonna understand this 💀
after watching this video, I got good at making deco's. Thank you very much!
This is the best video on block designs I've ever watched! thank you. I also wanted to know how I could practice building, should I jump into making a level and do the structuring? even if I have almost no experience? or should I do smaller practices like trying to improve the structuring and everything else said in the video, then start making a level.
I'd recommend you to try making entire levels, and always taking inspiration from the other creations you really like. Just try to make a level based on your favorite creations, basically. Take the best aspects of them and include them in your own projects, but ofc, using your own style for it (dont just copy pls lol)
Also keep in mind that theres no bad level and theres always people who are gonna like what u do no matter what!!
@@vit124 okay thank you! :D
Thx for the tip! I am making a level and trying to get it at least featured
oh you're the brazilian guy that i used to watch a while ago, your english is very good i wish i could speak english like you, I'm gonna try to make a level soon and hopefully also create a channel like yours, sim eu sou br também :)
I cant tell if your trying to bully me or teach me 😭
Love this comment 😅

I like your design am I'm actually starting to get good at decorating blocks. All that's left is Air deco, Background deco, and Spike deco. I'm that type of person that doesn't spam glow that much for "a rtx detail" so without you, I could've been worse!
Yooo its a real human voice! Something I haven't heard in years!
dang LOL
@@vit124 it was a joke lmfao
By the way, I take it from your discord bio that you're not willing to join any collabs in the near future?
aNoThEr banger video i cannot lie
Great video, with one small critique.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention optimizing object usage. I get the feeling that newer creators think high object usage=high quality, which just isn’t true: at best, the design looks messy and unfocused, like the creator isn’t confident in the design itself, and at worst, it causes severe lag and tanks game performance.
As a general thing, I try to keep my structures under 200 objects (except with especially large structures) and spikes under 10 objects, and minimize glow usage, especially in fast parts or if the structures are moving.
great advice!
Thank you, Now i can actually make decent levels
He uploaded! Finally no more text to speech
I admire the effort that goes into "how to block design" videos, but I gotta wonder how long it took them to make just the _one_ block in said video? These certainly do look great, but is it really practical for casual building lol
im a roblox builder
(theres a chance this can help other roblox builders)
im not alot into GD, i dont play it
although your videos are increadible!
good work vit12!
I may not have good details at first but I can steal your details 😁👍
tysm i had no idea how even designing works
i watched one of your vid and tried making a block design and kinda got into it but i rewatched your vid and now i thik i should try again ( any tips for glow)
this video teach me a lot im still a beginner I keep my designs nice and simple
This helped but I dont have a tutorial for actually making the block design, only how to make it and tips for making it. This is still a good video to use because I already knew how to use glow and I was using too much of it.
7:14 ah não ISSO É EXATAMENTE O QUE EU FIZ NO PRIMEIRO DIA QUE TENTEI DECORAR UMA FASE 😭😭😭
This Video is What made me Subscribe (=
In colour theory, hue is one of the main properties of a colour, defined technically in the CIECAM02 model as "the degree to which a stimulus can be described as similar to or different from stimuli that are described as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet," within certain theories of colour vision.
Beginners at least know that hue and saturation exist.
(they usually just take it from wikipedia, I imitated them by doing just that)
as someone whose been playing geometry dash for 8 months, i can confirm that the beginner block design is better than anything i could ever make
this video really proves my point in thinking scale hack carries creating
I see an amazing structure in thumbnail time to spend years replicating it!
nice!
Didn't expect to hear Coalescence in a geometry dash video
Lesson is: it's OK to take a break, do what you can do naturally and, don't push yourself too hard for it, just Try, Fail, Rest, succession, that's how the cycle goes
I am the like number 900 :D
My only problem with block design is that good and original design can be so hard to make and it can especially take a long time to not only make it but add variations too.
W tutorial imo
desing and layout are the most important things to do.I mostly focus on layout
Finally found an actually good creating video after 5 years of playing this game 💀
Yo Vit12 can u give a tutorial on how you edit your vids? I'm really bad at editing and none of the other tutorials are that good. You're rly good at tutorials, so could you please help?
"be happy for at least doing deco"
i cant be happy if it looks worse than recent tab stuff
so underated
love the plants vs zombies song man
primeiro video q eu vi com a voz do vitao
brabo
i watched this video like 5 times while making my first design lol
The plants vs zombies background music is a big W
What block did you use as the main color of the blocks? I can't find a block that either blocks the glow or is transparent.
blank base blocks, 3d bases and theses half base blocks (i think)
and the colors, he sets the main to blending, and a copy color version with no blending
Wow I didn't know i have to make the block design with more objects than my entire layout
1:48
HOLY CRAP THATS THE SONG I WAS USING FOR THE LEVEL I NEED THIS TUT FOR
I really like ur glow style but if i used it people would tell me i copied u lol
bro the “beginner” design is already 15x better than anything i’ve made
i was looking for simple art type block designs
Absolutely help me
thanks for telling me i can be a good creator, even though i will never be
Woahereas this helped me reserect my dead grampa
It took me 45 minutes to do one tech block design, and I know what im doing when it comes to tech design, just takes ages 😂
do u think its possible for a mobile player to make fun, good detailed levels? i always have good ideas for certain blocks or parts of a level but i dont really know how everything works in terms of changing colors, pulses, moving objects, etc. i also want to know where i can find a tutorial that explains everything in the geometry dash creator, or at least the most important things to know.
On pc it's easier to create for sure, since you have keyboard shortcuts, more keybinds in general and ofc a lot of creators mods and hacks willing to help you. Altho, I started creating on mobile and I do think it is totally possible to make a cool level on it (xender game created the eschaton on mobile lol)
about the tutorials, I am not sure if there is one video that explains everything about the GD editor in general, although there are a lot of random tutorials spread over the youtube that do this job really well so you can try watching those
thank you
Me trying to learn how to get better at block design. Vit12 - "it's too hard so don't worry about it"
0:52 got me laughing
edit: say hi to snowball :-]
vc é brasileiro né irmão? KKKKKK da pra conhecer o sotaque de longe
stream was epic :)
Tbh your real voice is alot better than the text to speech
Pls make a podcast on Spotify about geometry dash creating.
Tldw make a structure, fill it in & spam everything (except glow)
i cant really think much what blocks and spike will i put and where to put it
king of yappington
I have playing this game for 8 year and still at medium level, I guess :)
i always made it with pebbles i use create edge outlines
any tip for floating structures?
wait how do you make your blocks flash like that?
Bro this is so coincidental that I’m watching this now because I literally just finished a section where for the first time ever, I selected colors that work together and decorated my spikes 💀 and I’m not a beginner, I’m skilled at creating it’s just block deco was always my weak point
2.2 being here now it’s better bc of the layout thing
"Having high standars while not being able to create anything that pleases you is a horrible thing" that is literally 98.7% of my life
this is a w
And… why are all the beginner designs WAYYYY better than my deco.
This video is telling us how to make a good structure
4:06 this got me laughing so hard😂
ok im following the tutorial but how to you get that shade on 5:06
I only wanted the tutorial I don't wanted to see others think !
woooah
btw
what level is that at 2:02
This makes me seems like an experienced creator even if I'm not
I'm not a begginer nor experienced creator
I dont spent so much time creating my structuring, the only thing I spent so long at structuring is to make it variable
I make sure I put spikes in reasonable place
Adding small detail even if it's basic
I do still spam glow on my bd and use connectors is some cases
7:31 as an artist, i can relate
