  • THE ARSENIC CAKE SONG in 15 Different Languages [Asterix and Cleopatra]
    == General information ==
    The Arsenic Cake Song scene from the 1968 Belgian-French animated movie „Asterix and Cleopatra“, also known as „Astérix et Cléopâtre“ in 15 different languages. In this scene, Artifis and his minion Krukhut try to get rid of the heroes, Asterix & Obelix, by making an arsenic cake, or in some regions, an arsenic pudding, and sending it to Cleopatra in their name. The movie Asterix & Cleopatra is based on the comic strip of the same name. The arsenic cake’s song original name is Le pudding a l’ arsenic.

    == Missing languages ==
    1. Danish: I originally uploaded a version which includes the Danish version of the song, but for some reason, that specific part received a copyright claim which blocked access across all countries.
    2. Russian: I only managed to find an unofficial dub online, which merely took the German version of the movie and put some Russian lines over the still audible German ones, which is why I excluded it from this list.
    3. Arabic: Despite the movie taking place in Egypt, an Arabic-speaking country, the Arabic dub is incomplete, cutting out all song scenes from the Original.
    4. Hessian: The Hessian version of the movie merely redubs the main characters with a Hessian dialect, while still keeping the rest of the movie in Standard High German, which Hessian is a dialect of.
    5. Catalan + Spanish: Both have unique dubs, but keep all songs in French, the original language the movie was released in.
