Also can we bring back Mad Zach! You guys were the main reasons I watched DDTT
A much welcome return! Thank you for everything you do for this community. 🙏
than you for coming back Ean, you are the inspiration and reason why i use traktor now
I never realized you were gone, but now I feel the big whole you left the past time. Welcome back man!
WELCOME BACK! Much love from Italy ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is a true DJ TT video. What amazing content - us nerdy DJs live for this.
Great to see you back Ean! Im really looking forward to see you dropping more knowledge bombs and effects tricks over the next few months.
Simple explanations and yet so valuable informations... Happy to see you back Ean ! Can't wait to the reverb video.
Will be definitely purchasing from your webstore.
This guy has been making fantastic videos for quite awhile. He explains very well. I really want to get a twister. Such a good controller.
Been using TRAKTOR for over 10 years and still learning!!!
Thanks Ean for coming back!
Love this in depth of effects. they can be so destructive when used in the wrong way. and a fundamental understanding is the beginning of good use.
Hey, I'm glad you're back!
That's a really great format, exactly what I need right now for my further development in DJing :D
Learned already a few things from that video and can't wait for the next ones. Keep it up ;D
Welcome back. Feels good man.
I love your way of teaching!
OMG! Thank you for such a thorough explanation for how this awesome and very useful effect works!
Good series and great to have you back on youtube!
Thanks Ean for this awesome video!!!! Grettings from Argentina !!
We missed you Ean! My biggest hassle has always been at home before my sets. Can you help us by making a video about creating playlist, sets, crates, analyzing and using external hard drives? Pretty much areas covering preparation before our sets. Thank you and hope too see more of your content!
Good to have you back! You have good tutoring skills. Thnx
Been following your channel pretty much since the begining of DJTT, and for a time I was intrigued about where did you go... and when saw you back again at the release of TP3, couldn't help feeling excited about you coming back, but also worried... (man, you didn't look your best...). But now you certainly look in much better shape, and it's really nice to se you back, Ean! Really hope you have recovered well from whatever that kept you away from the scenes...
I always loved your videos and learnt a lot from them and got really inspired at times. And I think that this new series (?) explaining each Traktor FX in such detail is just spot on. So keep it up, and welcome back bro! Looking forward to these and many other cool Traktor and DJing related videos!
PS. It's no secret YT has evolved a great deal over the last years while you've been out of scene... But, if you allow the constructive critizism (though it may seem obvious...), please, don't neglect the production aspects of making these videos. Such a close up cut, un, boring background, sound glitches, etc... despite the flow, tone and wording of your speech being really very nice, as always, the former ruin quite much the end result... :-\
Thanks so much for the kind words and great suggestions. Yes, last few years were hard on me with some personal challenges and now I am feeling much more healthy. This video is shot in my Brooklyn apartment, which has very little space and less video bells and whistles sadly.
Thank you Ean, great basic tips!! keep up the good work
Hello again Mr Golden!
Thanks for this awesome video!
Welcome back and thanks for sharing your story and parts of your story. Would be nice to hear more about your experiences during your time off actually. Since you started with the delay the reverb video will be good and then on properly mapping a club mixer with controllers explaining how to use send and returns as well as Traktor and Ableton effects. Many vids about this topic out there but nobody does those videos better than you do
Awesome stuff Ean!
keep going Ean! so happy ur back in the game bro.
I got to learn something new today.. The Filter in Delay FX unit, very powerful. Thanks Ean.
Hi Ean, nice to have you back!
DUUUUUDE !!!!!!! BRING THE WHOLE CREW BACK
keep this going bro! 100% supporting djtt
so waited for such series as a Dj for 10 years
Have been messing around with fx on Traktor a lot lately, but it is great to hear some theory behind it. Can’t wait for the other video’s. Thanks a lot Ean. If they get really funky I might even buy the midi fighter twister ;)
Really great video, can't wait for the Reverb - Version next week. 👍
Like the instruction for different levels and inside tip. Great vid
thank you so much for the clear explanation!
great vid, keep them coming !
Love it, thank you Ean!
the boss is back !
yeeea, welcome back !)
Great video !!! You should do one explaining the tape delay
Thanks this was great!! Bravo!!

Great tutorial!
Thats a great series! Looking forward to the reverb one! I really wish i could replicate those nice revereb tail transitions the pros do on the 900 nxs ^^ Keep up the good work!
Hi Ean it was you that made me become a DJ welcome back

Perfect video
Glad to have you back, man. #shared
I love his vibe
Welcome back! Gimme more Ean! :D
love this guy
Good video , I'm missing the Dj techtools headquarters back gound so characteristic of this youtube channel.
It's nice to see that the channel is back on the road with ean :)
I think its because he is doing these from Brooklyn and not SF now (for the time being maybe?)
First of all, Welcome back! I Learn a lot from your videos and tips, and also very happy client from dj tech tools store!
Any tips on macro mapping the delay (and reverb) parameters to one knob for good results?
I use the midi fighter twister with twisted gratification, but it would be great to have some insights about macro mapping delay effects
This was such a great video! I’m an absolute beginner but have been watching you for years, so thank you so much. How about a video about what newbies should focus on and ignore in their first few months of DJing/mixing?
This
I think its a good video but why do you think that its good. What are you comparing it to?
Thank you
Dear Ean,
What is DJTT now in opposite to what it was before? It seems to me things in the presentation team, vibe and environment changed. Glad to see that you’re back, still learning much from your channel. Take care ✌🏻
I was using the delay without knowing the fundamentals! Thanks a lot. Please could you speak about using Filters and also Compressors!
AMAZING 😉
Please do me not misunderstood, but...your are my personal hero. Why? U are such a kind person and your explanation are great. Hope 2 see again in Ibiza. And with your tips I become a better dj.
that's very kind of you to say - and warms my heart. Thank you 🙏
Nice trick! Thx!
Fuck yeah! Welcome back Mr. G!
Hey Ean, thanks again for you superb tutorials, I am watching them since the time you had you hairstyle a lil different.. ;) I would love to have a third part in you future Videos, have been missing something like that for a Long time. What about part like "EFX in Action" where we can see and hear you messing around, maybe even in a club or a Party?? Keep going on, thanks again for you Inspiration!
Happy New year very good vid is this the only software that you work in ?
YES!!!
More, more, more. Great stuff Ean. I know you have gone down the deep house kinda route, but if you can, please also use some electro-house/progressive house more 4x4 dancing music in your examples too. Not too many dance clubs are into the chilled atmosphere of deep house. Thanks!
Oh, and if you could, do some of your great mashup stuff of the past, even if it is deep house. That kind of stuff is what got me into controllerism and digital djing.
Thank you for the proper and professional approach to effects! :)
Keep on the great work! Can you go even more advanced next time? :p I love learning new stuff, but i don't know what anymore...
Thanks for the tips! In Mixxx, the Echo effect does not have a filter built into it, but that is okay because you can load an EQ or filter effect in a chain before the Echo effect. Unlike in Traktor, you still have access to all the parameters of each effect when they are chained. I usually keep this chain ready with a Reverb effect after the Echo. You need to switch the chain from the default Dry/Wet mode (icon with crossed lines) to Dry+Wet mode (icon with one straight line and one curved line) for this to work right; otherwise, the EQ or filter will cut frequencies from the track, not just the signal going into the Echo.
Here is a screenshot demonstrating the setup:

Got some audio issues with this video :( clicks and pops/crackles every once in a while.
It needs some deessing too.
You should add a video on Delay T3 !
Proud owner of the usb cables by djtechtools - indestructible. Second to none...
Hello Ean ... great Video ... looking forward to the other effects ... is there a ‚pro‘ tip ? Can you compare Single to Group of the Effects ? Greetz from Germany
He is back🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
I want to do delay transitions into other songs on my twitch dj sets, is there a controller that's the best one to buy
I noticed there was a new firmware/software update for the MF Twister. New features listed were mouse emulation. Got really excited. It was only after I went through the process of updating I find out its a Mac only feature. Super bummed. Is that coming for windows as well?
Sorry for posting this here but I've had extremely limited success with any issue I've had both on the forum and the official support.
Another great video, thanks! Small suggestion: finding the video frame on you to be too close. Preferred how you mid framed in older videos. Don't get me wrong, of course you are a great looking guy, just a visual preference...
Can this MIDI controller be added next to my Traktor s2 mk3 in order to control the affects? If so, is it enough just to connect the MIDI controller to the computer?
Thanks Ean , much appreciated. Would you/anyone mind sharing the name of the 1st track. 3:06
Can you explain effects over urban music?
traktor or serato for a numark pro mix track 3?
Ean more on vinyl beat matching please!
🤔 what controller is that you are using? 🤔
I don't think all delays that seem the same having the same set of knobs all work the same way. There could be an inline inserted delay or the signal can be sent to a different place where the delay is applied and then it is sent back to the track and merged with the original dry signal. I know you know that but most DJ's don't understand about sends. It could look like a send by having a wet/dry knob, but that does not guarantee anything. Like you pointed out, there are supposed to be 2 separate signals merged with the knob. But the developer could just use the wet/dry knob to increase/decrease a combination of parameters. I guess it doesn't matter as long as it sounds good.
I think delay is just a fancy term for echo? Fancy terms irritate me because they confuse people.
Welcome back and have fun.
You get a like because we get to see you again
What midi controller is that?
Can you make a DIY MIDI fighter v3
"The Honda Civic of delay settings."
Sounds quality is a bit off... But the video is great, definitely learned some stuff!
Anyone know how i can give substitles to the video? For non english speaking friends.
whats the track at 3.20 ?
Found it in the comments further down:- czcams.com/video/SezoHflJ9iI/video.html
Amazing as always, but I'm feeling sad since it appears that DJTT is slowly fading away?
No more performances, guests, what's in your back? (not even bringing up free soundspacks etc.)
#MakeDJTTgreatAgain
Boss dd7 delay is necessary!!!
Good advice, if you want to know more about delays you should check out DM Khan's channel, his latest video on delay
