@SpideyFan6010 You can't enter a FWD in any official event but to say that it's not drifting is rubbish. Sure, it's a little unconventional but it's still drifting. Swinging out the rear of the car and letting the back tyres slide is a drift. The rear tyres may lock up and it may look shit, but it's still a drift. Enjoy your RX-7, i'm happy with my S13.
@kucarkacirkids How is it like powersliding if no power is used to induce a slide in the first place? It IS drifting...FRs are just better at it, because it's easier with the rear wheels HELPING to rotate the car.
@ginkumo12 RWDs are EASIER and thus better suited for drifting, since the rear wheels HELP the car to rotate. FWDs are HARDER and takes a lot of practice and suspension setup know-how to do it right, and that's why most people settle for the RWDs.
Keiichi fucking Tsuchiya recognizes this as drift. He's japanese, and he's the one that made drifting even more famous. He's the one that got drifting to your Need For Speed and other games. Who are you people to say that this isn't drifting?
@SpideyFan6010 Rules and regulations? FF cars were allowed in D1 as of 2010... a properly set up FF can pretty much use any drift technique except for, obviously the "power over" which the mainstream drifting is so dependent on. It's time you realize that drivetrain layout has very little to do with the actual handling of the car. It's what the rear wheels do in relation to the front...and where did you find just the six drift techniques? You're drift fanboy, you should know of more than that.
@SpideyFan6010 Drifting is intentionally oversteering. That's it. You can do it with a FWD. It's not easy, but it can be done. That's all there is to it. I have 'factual' evidence of an S13. I don't have any FWD cars because I know oversteer sucks ass. I just wanted a Civic as they are cheap and wanted to see if i could have fun with it. I don't think this is 'real' drifting more than it is fun drifting. But it's still drifting in the end.
@SpideyFan6010 hey, we meet again. First, it doesn't have anything to with an FR car ownership or lack if it. Second, what D1? We haven't had a single round since 2009, American drift scene is a joke, and drifting became just another "extreme sport" for most. Third, speaking of D1, FF drifters have participated in D1 Street Legal and D1SL Divisional Series many times before. How about the FACT that they ran an annual FF only drift event in Japan for the last 5 years? I could go on...
@phtmexplo How much more "complicated" does it have to get? A powerslide is an American term for the Japanese "power over" drift technique, where power is used to INDUCE a drift...so the question still remains, how's FF drifting "powersliding", when no power is used to induce a slide in the first place? A donut does NOT have anything to do with drifting...what's next, you gonna ask me if a burnout is the same as drifting? WTF?
drift = controlled slide drift events are about controlled slides RWDs are just better at these controlled slides FWDs are just easier/simpler FF drift is drift. So gtfo with your haterade.
@apexdna Yes u are right, I did make that comment abit complicated now that i read it again lol. The "manji" is about the same as the "choku dori", only the "choku dori" is done at high speed. I (and many) call these powerslides, not real drifts, unless they are done on a (oval) track. Any respectfull driver should know this. If someone is doing a "donut" on a parking lot, you call that drifting ??? I dont. If u call that drifting, then we are done talking, sorry.
@InjecteDVenoM I don't think U have seen or understand ANY of my comments. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE 2 DRIFT A FWD CAR. So with that in mind I think I will stick with my RWD RX-7. U should stick 2 Skateboarding since U know absolutely nothing about drifting.
@InjecteDVenoM All BS aside that video was hilarious. I never said I knew everything about drifting I was simply stating there R more factors 2 take n2 account than just trying 2 oversteer on purpose. I was typing like that cause there is a character count limit 2 what U can say. By Physically impossible I am speaking about the laws of physics that govern us on this planet called earth. If U want 2 know Y it is impossible send me a message an I will let you know.
@apexdna "Powersliding" is a different thing then "drifting". For example : theoretically u CANT "drift" on a straight road, but u CAN "powerslide" there, so if u are powersliding > u arent always drifting .... I hope that cleared it up a little bit for ya.
@InjecteDVenoM I am seriously trying me best 2 B as respectful as possible. U can not call ass dragging a FWD drifting cause it is not drifting. The closest thing 2 an actual drift a FWD car can do is the Scandinavian Flick. Please do not mention a RWD car that U own unless have factual evidence that U do. U probably have a FWD & think this video is super cool & means U can drift Ur FWD. If U still think this is drifting U need psychiatric help. If U want 2 C a REAL Drift look at the Civette.
@InjecteDVenoM Where is this factual evidence?(Video no pics) Also, Drifting is more than oversteering intentionally. There R so many different ways 2 initiate a drift aside 4rm power over. This is Y I stopped reply 2 comments 4rm this video cause people don't understand how a FWD is Physically IMPOSSIBLE 2 drift. If U don't understand what I mean by Physically then refrain 4rm making another comment on this page
this is actually not a drift.. for me its like powersliding.. but when you see how it slides, it reallly looks like drifting.. but yeah, FR is for DRIFTing..
The future of drifting is in the FF.
anyone in 2024?
damn bloody good
@SpideyFan6010 You can't enter a FWD in any official event but to say that it's not drifting is rubbish.

The rear tyres may lock up and it may look shit, but it's still a drift.
Enjoy your RX-7, i'm happy with my S13.
@Polaris502 That depends solely on the vehicle.
@phtmexplo Powersliding is using power to induce a slide...
@kucarkacirkids How is it like powersliding if no power is used to induce a slide in the first place? It IS drifting...FRs are just better at it, because it's easier with the rear wheels HELPING to rotate the car.
Hey, I've drifted a FF without e-brake and it's fun as hell!! It must be really hot there if Tsuchiya has his shirt off.
He was impressed by the fat guy going sideways with the riced up civic 🤣
@InjecteDVenoM How are D1 Street Legal Series not official?
@dragonx330 Tsuchiya admit fwd car in d1, so it is drifting
@phtmexplo What difference? A powerslide is ONE of the many techniques used in drifting...
@apexdna Yeah but so is drifting ... I was just explaining the difference between a drift and a powerslide.
@kucarkacirkids This isnt a PS ...
Drifting = start before apex of the turn (wich he does in this video).
Powersliding = start after apex of the turn.
@ginkumo12 RWDs are EASIER and thus better suited for drifting, since the rear wheels HELP the car to rotate. FWDs are HARDER and takes a lot of practice and suspension setup know-how to do it right, and that's why most people settle for the RWDs.

skills
my question was rhetorical.

it was something we call that ( skill )
not every 1can do like that
Big pair of balls
so when i see cars with wings on FWD that i now JDM?
@LiLV3XX08 Someone's a little angry...
lindo eheh
Um brasileiro vendo isso 13 anos atrás, lenda!!
@SpideyFan6010 Try to connect corners like he did...there's a lot more to FF drifting than just pulling the handbrake.
pple that say this isnt drifting dosnt no how 2 drift
you people always have to argue????
@phtmexplo I guess...
I meant understeer sucks, my bad.
fuck..so in other words i can't drift with my 92 hatchback? fuck...oh well worth a shot anyway at drifting with it. lol
@dragonx330 Im not saying it looks as nice as RWD but FWD CAN drift !
i dont like the wing too..
@SpideyFan6010 Drifting is intentionally oversteering. That's it.

@apexdna
you know....i was being sarcastic...well guess not
I bet that Keiichi feels weirder seeing Muscle Cars drifting than the FF Civic. Meh
@mangaliewa Funny...
rtsi intrac 4wd
rtsi is eh1
OHLY SHIT, they have ricer in jpn?

@SpideyFan6010 Try drifting a FWD and then talk.
rofl out of all the civics out there the GT wing looks the worst on the old model.
rice in japan?!? How???? -________-
Rice? That's just an old culture
RU sure its FWD???? if yes- sick.....
Power and tyre air pressure
drift = controlled slide
