DCS F-4E Dogfight Discussion

If you have been around the channel for the past year or so you know that I have been building and releasing files for DIY flight sim peripherals. Of course when I complete a DIY project, I do personally use that peripheral for my own virtual flying as well! At the end of the day, gear doesn't necessarily make one a better virtual pilot, but it does increase the immersion. We all know the difference between winning or losing in a dogfight comes down to the individual behind the controls. The following is my first five engagements on Enigma's Cold War server, on the first day that I joined the server in the F-4E. If you like this kind of video, please do let me know in the comments. Great video, quick question. So, is anyone using team or section tactics or is it mostly 1v Whatever? I ask because you seem to be spending a good amount of time scraping MiG's off of friendly's tails.

Great question - my first few sorties were solo, but SRS/Discord are definitely best practices on ECW

Have you tried making Russian joysticks? like the MIG-29 or MIG-21. And on the American side, the A-4 Skyhawk? Nice work! 😀

How can you identify the target beyond 2 nm away? especially in head to head case, My VR PVP experience is terrible cause of visual identify.

I am using a Quest 3 with a USB-C cable connected to my PC! Running 72Hz at 1.2 pixel density in Oculus and DCS

​@@thesimnetlooks really smooth! Why sort of hardware have you got? I'm struggling to get good performance in the F-4E in ECW, even in flatscreen, with a 4070, 5800x3d and 64 GB of RAM :(

@@procrastinathan9201 hey I am running an i9-14900K with a 4090 and 64GB RAM as well. I have all settings on ultra but I am using ASW/reprojection so as long as I have around 30fps it's pretty solid until I get into a really busy area
