Mitch, design engineer at Q, challenged me to a shutoff at Moons Out Goons Out 2024. If I win, I get a Boombox from Q. If he wins, I have to embarrass myself on the internet. Sounds like a risk worth taking!
The Boombox is essentially a Honey Badger scaled up to SR25 magwell size, chambered for 8.6mm Blackout (and they will have a 7.62x51mm version as well).

Cool Forgotten Weapons merch! shop.forgottenweapons.com
The audio is in nightvison as well
It's kind of wild that equipment to record color video in such darkness is now better quality than any thing in 2009 CZcams..
Forcing Ian to deny the superiority of French firearms would have been a better losing condition than "Q rules, Ian drools"
Looking forward to more videos in the future with your free Boombox 👍
I'm so glad that Ian won, because Q engineering definitely does not rule.
Now THAT would be a great video... Ian building his own optic. That way we could all get a better idea of how it works. Great job all.
Ian’s expression on his face after winning the Boom Box challenge 👉🤤👍
lmfao
I like the sparks from the ejection port. Very flashy :P
Super cool competition, looks like fun
The amount of time it takes that 8.6 to hit the plate at that short of a range is crazy
Can't wait to see your Boombox!
Congrats, Ian!
That's a win, win for both parties.
That laser being left on is triggering my NV-OCD.
I’m 100% here for the future meta of 8.6blk PDWs
I need one of these
That was cool. Well done Ian.
Only way to improve is to test it.
Got a 'Be an Egg Donor' advert before the video. Glad to see your demographics are changing. lol.
Real gentlemen at play !
Night vision gun reviews would be awesome
I wanna see you go build yours
Dope af!
Fun stuff
I feel like Ian had an advantage on the deciding challenge, being a lefty with a lot of experience shooting unfamiliar firearms right-handed
They are shooting off hand, not with their non-dominant hand.
These OF bots are getting out of control.
That said, early gang represent.
Early 86 Gang?
Bots in the comments, man...
The literal 8th comment
Only a bot would comment something like that...

Nice!
So if we have cameras that can see so good at night why don't we put that tech in a monocular?
*Forgotten Weapons* Can I come play with you guys??
Is Ian wearing IANPAT
If only they'd make a switchable eject port...
Not really needed on the AR platform stuff they're not known to eject casing into wrong handed people
@@wackoman544 Yea, a receiver with a brass deflector is a whole lot cheaper and easier than a swappable ejection port system lol
I think this gun would be better off with a full stock assembly. How are you gonna PDW a 308 size platform?
It can be done, like the PARAFAL.
Fast twist rate in the rifling for this .338 caliber projectile. Designed for subsonic & suppressed shooting, but has an excellent ballistic coefficient, all things considered.
Only fun like this in the USA ❤❤❤
Better bet would have been q engineers rule. I dont think ian questions that the engineering rules even if he beats the engineers
❤❤❤
What was this filmed on?
A Sionyx Opsin
Is it me, or did the ejection at 3:13 look really inconsistent, and like half of it ended up in Ian's face?
He shot lefty (as usual for Ian) thats why the brass was hitting him in the right shoulder some of the time.
Ejection throughout the whole match was actually very consistent - right into my face. They are fixing that in the final production version thanks in part to this match. :)
I have an AR with an early design upper, no brass deflector. The brass comes straight back, which hits my ear when firing righty. I've never tried lefty, but imagine it would be right in the nose.
@@ForgottenWeapons did the nods get any double duty as eye protection? 😂
This is just normal…. .
Good stuff .
Stay Gooney.
Frick yeah early gang here at your service
A video in the dark.... Great idea
As a Honey Badger owner, maybe Q chit wouldn't cost so much if they quit giving away products. Ha. Congrats on your new Boom Stick, Gun Jesus 😂
Wake up to a new video 🎉
Waahahaha Nice work Ian!!!! WOOOP!!!!!!
Attempt n°7 : Make a video about the Springfield 1871.
Who else needs better tools? 😢
I'm sorry....I couldn't even really hear what they were saying in the intro. My gaze kept getting drawn into the neon green glow around their eyes. Talk about Uncanny Valley.....
Ransom of success: 16 minutes after ulpoading, the video can't be viewed in one time.
100 dollar mag dump
👍 für den Algorithmus
Thumbnail looked like youse guys got slimed.
If q wins do a video on his guns 😅
Ian has a distinct advantage in offhand shooting given how much standard rifle design favors right handed shooting. He's had lots of practice.
Offhand refers to shooting a gun with no artificial support; as opposed to shooting with your non-dominant hand or “weak hand”
Very cool.
Per me non siete umani😢
