Guys.. I think I have some points to add to the conversation.. 1. Think of Alexander Kirk, He said to reddington “there’s nothing you can say to me to me now that’s going to stop me from killing you.” Then Reddington leaned in and whispered in his ear something and Alexander walked off.. what if what he whispered in his ear was I am Katarina.. 2. Raymond said he’d never lie to Liz but in one of the earlier seasons Liz asked reddington “Are you my father?” Then The Raymond we know replied back with a big fat “No.”
We dont know if he said " I am Katarina. " There are many othe reasons that could stop Kirk from killing him.. heres one- which I believe- He could have said I had to kill Katarina to save Liz or he could have said Katarina may be alive still..... he could have said "it's me .....Viktor!!! ( Katarina younger brother its just a little guess of course... who Kirk knows very well I think this is the most likely possibility because that might give Kirk pause! ) this could be the reason why he has plastic surgery to make himself look like the real Raymond Reddington because he feels guilty about what happened to Liz and he decided to change his whole appearance not only to pretend to be the naval officer Raymond Reddington so we can get the information from Naval intelligence to sell secrets to become the concierge a crime order to protect Elizabeth you making billions of dollars and gaining power and influence... but also so he can have an affinity with Liz one day maybe she will think you really is her father.. This all adds up because if you look at the scenes with Dominic the love-hate relationship there they have a familial link he's okay about walking around Dominick's house and Dominic cooking dinner for him even though Dominic is pissed at him a little bit I still feel a little bit of love there like a little bit of a connection.. So recap. Red is Katarinas brother... had to kill Katarina or allow her to die to save her daughter and his niece Elizabeth he feels such guilt about that he will do anything to protect Elizabeth,, if you take everything I said so far in the original post and this past post , pretty much all adds up
It's amazing how the writer of this show mixed up facts to the extent any theory one imagines has some sort of evidence. i think the show has a more inclination from start that he is her father. the imposter theory makes me think the writers are taking viewers for granted to make the imposter theory seem indisputable.

If Katarina is Red, it's probably also because being a man gave her/him more freedom to live his/her life. Katarina's sexual partner was chosen for her when she was 15 by her OWN father. He chose whom she was going to marry. He made the decision for her on whether or not to keep Masha/Elizabeth and his reasons, if I'm remembering correctly, were for insurance and leverage towards the real reddington. She didn't even have a childhood all children deserve. But as Reddington, he can do whatever the hell he wants. He can finally be his true self. His life is finally his to live. And sometimes you can even see that whenever Red would act child- like with Dembe, like at the clinic when he was looking for the boat(I think) in that children's magazine in the waiting room.
Dont forget the first scene of this show , Redingtons Coleuge gave him his bag before turining himself in , and told him "must be good to be home again sir" wich means red was an FBI Agent / he did worked for usa government!! He might be her real father .

I think if the Red is Kat theory is true than the writing was put into place after season one for the story to go that way. IMO everything after season 1 has been pointing to it.

Now… based upon the earlier episodes of the show, and what we know about Director Cooper, this RR’s identity is somehow tied to the Russians and the Sea Duke event. Sounds like you made up your own story and now you're upset that it's not actually canon. There are clues, from the beginning, that hint at Red being one of Liz's parents. We assumed he was her father, but the bones and DNA ruled that out. And everyone who has watched the show knows that Red's stories even he talks to people are facts mixed with fiction. But, he doesn't (usually) outright lie. Rewatch from the beginning and you'll see clues that's he was formerly Katarina. All of your questions can be answered if you see it from the perspective of Red as Kat. Dom's anger over losing his daughter, Red's anger at someone being FORCED to transition... It all adds up.

If “fake red” wasn’t in fact “real red” then Dom would have called him by his real name. Therefore, Reddington is NOT an imposter, and the bones did NOT belong to the real Raymond Reddington!
Whoever Raymond was, HE IS now Raymond Reddington and not anymore the person he was.
I really don’t think that he’s Katarina. I wouldn’t be against it but:

And everyone who has watched the show knows that Red's stories even he talks to people are facts mixed with fiction.
But, he doesn't (usually) outright lie. Rewatch from the beginning and you'll see clues that's he was formerly Katarina. All of your questions can be answered if you see it from the perspective of Red as Kat.

You are falling for surface material by falling for a dream or delusion in the mind of a brain damaged Liz having had a subdural hematoma in Garvey and then dropped through a table in Kazanjian and that is only two of the times she was hit in the head.
