WWA: The Revolution is the 2nd PPV event from World Wrestling All-Stars. Bret Hart is back serving as commisioner, Big Poppa Pump Scotty Steiner makes his return to pro-wrestling, Disco Inferno gets his match cancelled seeing as his opponent gets moved to the main event, and a great 6-man elimination match kicks the show off featuring some of TNA's future stars. Will it be better than WWA Inception?

That Hitman "promo" was tough to get through
Bret's promos are only good when he's complaining about something, like during his anti-America run in WWF.
@@marcespinoza6068Kinda weird, isn't it?
It wasn't even a promo, it was just Bret filling up airtime talking about nothing.
In his defense, America was super patriotic for the first couple of years after 9/11. It looks out of place now, but alot of celebrities and athletes were doing similar stuff
i had to start skipping ahead, it was brutal
"Hope they'll play My Sacrifice a little later on." Chef's kiss.
There’s a great moment where the crowd chants ‘Jerry’s Kid’ at Christopher…but it’s also applicable to Jarrett.
That's true.
WHO ARE THEY MOCKING THEN!?
Dude...the post wcw pre tna days of the early 2000s were a strange ass time in wrestling
I don't mind these PPVs. It gives me an insight into what the wrestlers who weren't signed or let go by the WWF after ECW and WCW got brought out were doing at the time.
This. In german free tv there was a big hole when WCW closed its doors, because WWF only aired on Premiere (Sky). I was a kid and had no money for ppv tv. So i basically couldn't watch wrestling anymore. It's interesting to see this strange phase after WCW and before many wrestlers went to WWF/WWE. I didn't even know that Eddie left WWF at some point. This is all strangely amusing and bizarre.
Fun fact: Tantric, the band who sang "Revillusion" here, also sang "Chasing After" from the original SmackDown vs. Raw soundtrack.
Day Of Reckoning too, and I can safely say that song was better than this one, lol
Revolutionnnnnnnnnn
@@averageant7173 Revillusionnnnnnnnnn
This song has a lot more to it than just the word revolution. Please give it and the whole band a listen
that wasn't that fun
Bret The Hitman Clark doing his best promo!
😂😂 Thank you
Bret Clark knows how to deliver a promo, but he has nothing on Jumpin' Jeff Farmer. Yip!
@@mrblonde609 Bret Clark might be able to out-promo Jumping Jeff if he turns the tables on Jeff in the WRONG way!
Bret Hart trying his hardest not to accidentally say WWF or WWE in his promo. 😂
Hi. I got the jam here in Nigeria. I love wrestling. I love reliving the war
Hello from America! Jam up guys all across the globe!
HEY YOU EMAILED ME SAYING I WAS LEFT 12000000 MILLION DOLLARS. WHATS THE DEAL WITH THAT?

The fact than Jerry Lynn (without and F) stops Eddie promo by shouting “Excuse me” almost killed me!
Did Jerry just Vicki Eddie?
I wonder if that's actually where Vicki got it from now. 😂
That's gold Jerry! Gold!!
Brian Christopher vs Jeff Jarrett would have drawn big numbers . . . On shotgun Saturday night.
If it was the too cool gimmick
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Or in Memphis in the 90s
Fun fact: This PPV took place the night after ROH's debut show in Philadelphia so some of those guys, including Eddie, flew over from there to Vegas.
Anyway, unfortunate you couldn't get a hold of Zbyszko's promo since it was good and I thought was the most memorable thing from this show.
Bret’s entrance music sounds like the theme song for a Beverly Hills 90210 spinoff tv show 😂
Ever since Brian Zane talked about the different pronunciations of the WWA's events, I can't stop thinking about that quirk. Glad to see you acknowledging it.

"Reeevahlooooshaouwn"
Wow. You've got an entire year of Mark Madden commentary ahead of you on RTW.
Not excited at all.
Giving Jerry Lynn a live mic should be a federal offense.
Jerry Lynn and Steve Blackman in a This is Your Life segment
To be brutally honest, Eddie was worse on the stick here than Jerry Flynn without an F.
@@LarsOfTheMohicans yeah but he died so you aren't allowed to think like that.
@@kidneystonermusic it's alright, he didn't chew the scenery anywhere near as badly in either WCW or WWF, so a one-time goof isn't the Apocalypse.
They did Tantric dirty, the actual song is on their self-titled album from '01, honestly catchy, but they used the bridge, which is just them repeating "revillusion, revolution"
Tantric/Days of the New definitely underrated.
God I loved Tantric growing up.
And yeah they got done dirty here
@@MetalJT24100% agree
That's a real band ?!
@@MetalJT24Nah.
Bruh 50 seconds in got me laughing my ass off at the revolution song 😂😂😂
We love a promotion that sees Jerry Lynn, one of the most impressive and innovative in-ring talents to this day, and goes "Yeah let's use him in a long winded promo segment instead of an actual match. We need that time for Alan Funk, Reno, Teo and Puppet!"
“Especially Alan Funk, that money maker!”
Jerry Lynn reminds me of Kenny omega
Hey, his promo was great, let's be honest!
Jeff Jarrett vs. Brian Christopher is a "main event" match they'd put on WWF Friday Night's Main Event in August 1997, not the second big show of your new promotion.
I attended a WWA show in Dublin, Ireland back in November 2002. It was a welcome arrival as no major promotions came here between 1995-2004. Disco Inferno and Jermey Borash were on commentary that could be heard throughout the arena. Disco wrestled and then came back to commentary after the intermission. I'm going from memory but I believe the WWA owner Andrew McManus took over on commentary for a brief period. He was approachable, wearing a suit and sunglasses while spending the night around the entrance way area. One of the biggest disappointments was that Scott Steiner was advertised but didn't appear. He was heavily rumoured to have signed with WWE which turned out to be true.
The card was:
Shark Boy Vs Nate Webb
Konnan Vs Norman Smiley
Nathan Jones/Frankie Kazarian Vs Disco Inferno/Johnny Swinger
Teo Vs Puppet (Midajah was the guest referee)
Mike Sanders Vs Joe E Legend
Sabu Vs Perry Saturn Vs Simon Diamond
Sting/Lex Luger Vs Buff Bagwell/Malice
Overall it was OK and it was great to see names that you wouldn't see live in Ireland much like Sabu, Perry Saturn, Sting and Lex Luger. Sadly though the main event didn't last 5 minutes. I basically remember them making their entrances and not long after seeing the torture rack and scorpion deathlock on the opponents and that was it. Shout out to Konnan who signed autographs for fans on his way to the back. He was nice and the first wrestler I ever met.
lol the dude just using the door in the background when the “Funkster” is doing his promo
This is a pleasant surprise. I've currently 33 videos of yours in my watch later. Watched like god knows how many last few weeks. Only discovered you a few months ago. Love this channel to bits mate. Great stuff and appreciate all the hard work that you do. You deserve your flowers Ryan. 💐

He was only 25 during this PPV.
Early AJ Styles is always great to see and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels Early TNA Wrestling Right there.
I like how Reno wrestled in Las Vegas.
Jerry interrupts Eddie by saying "Excuse me" - was Vickie taking notes?
Fun Fact: sitting in the front row all decked out in the white suit is Billy Firehawk who a few years later would run NWA Cyberspace in NJ. The same promotion with the infamous Lex Luger tshirt promo. This show was the foundation for that promotions start up and therefore without this show that promo wouldn’t exist
And your T-shirts are too tight, Billy!
PLEASE update your "complete" playlists, because i love your videos and the timelines are not all there but you've done the right videos to slot in
When you order Creed band from Wish
Whoa you pump your brakes right there ! Ok I honestly thought it was creed at first glance but in all fairness tantric had 1 good album I know for sure. But not on creeds level late 90s
Revoooooluuuuushawn.
John Silver weeps
I promise you tantric is a great guitar and harmony heavy band.
You mean Alter Bridge from Wish
The Himtan promo made me long for a Mercedes Mone promo.
22 years later AJ Styles that guy in the six man opener will face Dusty kid at Backlash France for the Undisputed WWE Championship! Imagine telling someone that in 2002? Their said Goldust no Cody his younger son!
And you'd have to tell that someone "No, Dusty's *other* kid, the one who doesn't wrestle yet"
@@underscoresjurassiccatch7812 Not Dustin Cody! Dustin just returned to WWE at this point at Royal Rumble 2002! I kind of left out to Cody part!

I would be like what? Also did I come into the wrong building?
"I hate this town..... I'm moving back to Oklahoma"....😂
I kinda lost it when someone hit Eddie (sorry, Eddy) with the "Excuse Me!"
Vicki must have been taking notes
Dude same, I was not prepared!
"WHERE THE F*CK IS VICKIE?!?"
Bryan Clark wasn't fired from WWE. He was told they were going to developmental and he refused, but Adams took the offer.
Nice. The Revolution. I mean The Rev-o-lushun
Us wrestling fans will know Tantric from their song "Chasing After" off the original Smackdown VS. RAW soundtrack
A Scott Steiner promo works for me 10 outta 10 show
For me it only works 68.25% of the time unless you multiply it by 33.33% and combine it all together, in which case it works for me 128.46% of the time
DO HIM AN EGG!
DO HIM AN EGG!
The first match is definitely a hidden gem for sure.
2:08 OOOOOOOH EASY THERE!
You’ve just pissed off Mark Maddens #1 and only fan, that being his own self!
I remember wrestling with wregret covering this years ago. REVOLUTION!!! LOL
And when Brian recapped the first AEW Revolution, he used that clip of Tantric in the intro
Comparing WrestlingBios' content to that of Mr. Potato Head really made me appreciate WB more.
Jerry Lynn saying Eddie had a long run in ECW when he was only there for four months lol
Four ECW months, though
I remembering watching this ppv and enjoying the hell out of it. That opening match was the clencher and felt like a precursor to the x-division. But I will.say that there was a missed opportunity to have an Guerrero vs. Lynn match
With Jeff Jarrett in the main event, let's see if I can predict how this one goes. Ref bump, guitar shot, Stroke and pinfall.
Weeding out the true channel fans by including the entirety of Bret’s promo 🤣
Oh my god, turn Bret’s mic off!
Best wrestler in-ring but my god this promo you highlighted is so terrible!
10/10 for the Revolution song.
I didn't know wcw did some shows after they closed down a ppv that would have sold well I think would have be a WCW vs ECW event in 2001 imagined some of the matches
That could’ve just been WCW at the point of 95/99 where a lot of the wrestlers coming in where from ECW
Thanks for covering these events! As a high schooler at the time, I didn’t even know this promotion existed and it’s cool to see what happened in the interim prior to Invasion/TNA.
Man, Bret's really at his best when other people are writing his dialogue.
And not facing a Hulkster or behemoth like Goldberg.
I blame this on the concussions. Bret is at his best as a fired up face or an American hating heel. I’m a huge Bret fan but geez this was rough.
@@Artmigeddon y'all be blaming Goldberg too much for Bret Man the Heart Hitman.

13:11 lol somebody just came in from a smoke break or something
RIP Puppet
"I would weeble wobble down the street!" 😂😂😂
Mark Madden being in the same state as a wrestling show ruins it for me.
So, I actually met "Puppet" The Psycho.
There was supposed to be a wrestling show at a local strip club, and me and my friends went to attend. We got in free because we were all military members.
Apparently, Puppet was the only performer who was able to show up. Puppet apologized, and the strippers came into the ring and "wrestled" him to entertain us.
I have to admit, it actually was hilarious. He reacted by screaming into the mic that those women weren't allowed into his ring, and he held the mic as they did bodyslams on him and smacked him with random things. Screaming things like "I'M SORRY I PAID IN DISNEY BUCKS!"
Great video coverage of wrestling history I never knew existed. Definitely feeling the '06-'09 TNA Impact vibes .
23:00 Actually, that's the way Eddie himself always spelt it. Think that was the spelling in WCW for awhile too.
Mark madden should have stayed selling bulk lots of knives at 4am on HSN.
Great video
Much love from the UK
funny thing is with social media now this could actually work. build the matches up with promos on social and interviews on youtube, etc. they could do attacks at signing, conventions, etc and rely on public recordings posted to social media to build the matches and the PPV's.
That's practically how AEW started before their beginning on TNT
14:98 😂👌 What are you gonna do brother, when the Hulk Sunset Flips over you!?
Damn what a great video this time those guys was working their asses off
Ya know I've never heard Jerry Lynn cut a promo and after this show I know why.
I find it sad that we have WWE and we have AEW among other smaller promotions… but I still miss WCW and ECW, I think that’s a slight on modern wrestling across the board today
I’m sorry to say it’s a slight to think that today’s wrestling is that much better. WwE is getting better again but kicking out of every finishing move is ridiculous.
@@dmichael1172 Wrestling today is less about the product you like and more about which company u hate more
@@dmichael1172 No, just no.

I never liked Mark Madden he a horrible human being
Disco Inferno can be worse than Mark Madden, amazingly
@@thesfdoctor3603Mark Madden is Disco's alt gimmick
And the grossest. He looks like he sweats cloudy.
Not gonna lie, that Eddie promo and overall segment with Jerry Lynn was kinda good. Even though it was brief, he really sounded passionate and intense, and if that whole bit was on TV and there was a proper build to it, I'm sure a Guerrero/Lynn match could have been good. Though the heel/face dynamic seemed uncertain. Like they were talking about Guerrero being unhappy and he was very intense and fighting with the crowd, but it seems hard to boo a guy trying to overcome his personal demons. And Lynn poking fun at him makes him seem the heel, but he's; also making an appeal to the fans too. So that part was a bit unclear.
Yeah the dynamic was all over the place
Yeah when they promo hit I felt chills and being uneasy espically knowing what happens to him.
I'm so happy to hear about Psicosis being an actual title holder.
He was such a solid worker and he was criminally underused during the WCW days.
Actually not terrible, much better than the first one and probably better than some late WCW PPVs
I loved Brian Zane's review of the WWA and this ppv. He ripped it to pieces 😂😂
And when he recapped the first AEW Revolution, he used that Tantric clip in the intro
@@TimmyTickleNow I gotta find it 😂
Yes a late Bios. I was getting Sunday night withdrawals.

I too was missing my Sun WB
Really shows the transition between the dying days of WCW into the formative dreck of early TNA (with the cruiserweights being the obvious exception in terms of delivering something worthwhile in the ring).
Jerry Lynn on a mic is like Kenny Omega on a mic.
sheesh i thought you forgot us today but praise all you came through 💯🙏🏽
Your logo reveal looked better than the PPV logo reveal! :D
How much WWA footage do U have?
This show could had been awesome if it was rebooked:
Main Event: Eddie Guerrero against Sabu Lights Out Match - Guerrero goes over
Co Main Event: Jeff Jarrett against Jerry Lynn WWA World Title - Jarrett goes over
Match #5: Kronik & Rick Steiner VS West Hollywood Blonds & Brian Lawler - squash match faces go over
Match #4 Psicosis VS Juventud Guerrera 2 out of 3 Falls WWA Cruiserweight Title - Psicosis retains
Match #3 Nova VS Devon Storm - Nova goes over
Match #2 Tony Mamaluke VS Low Ki - Low Ki goes over
Opener AJ Styles VS Christopher Daniels - Flip a coin.
I guess in the bookers eyes most of these guys are just mid cards and aren't suitable for 5 star matches.
Tony Mamaluke has the best malnourished physique.
He had to fight Big Sal for food!
Man, that Tantric guy *REALLY* wanted to be Scott Stapp
just like Scott Stapp wanted to be Eddie Vedder

Surely you have heard this time and time again
But you have the best wrestling channel hands down
So addicted!
Pretty cool hearing the Smackdown Shut your mouth menu music during the Eddy/Psychosis/Juventud Intro
Awesome 1st match, I loved watching this tour
20:55…Scott spiked that dude like a football 😂😂😂😂
Bret Hart stinking up the mic. jeeeeez.
It's like he just got off the plane flight, and walked into the arena, no prep and was just told to talk for 10mins...
I love how much of this we got to actually see and hear. Unlike WWE, I'm sure the WWA wouldn't mind the exposure. Love ya. Your videos are the best!
Why was Devon Storm no longer Crowbar?
Possibly due to WWE owning WCW assets.
