  • We will be working with all of the feet BERNINA has to offer. Todays first foot is the #1 Foot. This is the what I refer to as the universal foot. Most applications can be sewn with this Reverse Pattern foot.

    Cody you're the best at explaining all the details about machines and accessories. You seem to anticipate my questions just as I am about to ask them in my head! I have made notes on various products you use and have also purchased additional feet and accessories from Bernina due to your tutoring as to how to use them. I have feet that came with my 780 and never ventured to use them till I saw your videos. Thanks for all you're doing to educate us!

    This was so helpful. So grateful for your videos. You are a great teacher.
    One question; I received both the 1C and 1D foot with my 570. Do you have any tips for when/why to choose the 1C vs the 1D? Are there any circumstances where it’s better not to use the dual feed? Thanks.

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  Před 3 lety +1

      Typically we always just end up using the 1D. We get this question a lot. The only time I can think of using the 1C over the 1D is if you are sewing with fabric that could potentially "run" like satin or silks so you may not want a semi "rough" dual feed coming in contact with that fabric. Other than that 1D all the way!! :)

    Hi Cody - Thanks so much for teaching us how to use our Berninas. I have a 'how come' question: How come the clear reverse pattern #34 foot doesn't have a notch for the thread to slip through like the #1 does?

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  Před 3 lety +1

      Good question!! So as you have probably noticed BERNINA doesn't like plastic feet, plastic feet are delicate and can easily break. So to help keep the feet strong and long lasting the decided not to put the little slit in the side because that would decrease the rigidity of the foot. :)

    Hi Cody, can you tell me what foot I can use for quilting 1/4". Thanks for the video. The Activa 240 came with a 1,2,3,4 and 5 foot.

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi, so sorry for the late reply. for your Active 240 you're going to want to be using either #37 or #57 both are 1/4" feet its just the #57 has the attached guide which is wonderful. They both have their pros and cons. :) In my option both are great to have on hand but if i could only have one it would probably be #37 its the most universal.
