The dying light one is so unnerving because you can't tell if the virus is just tapping into their host's memory/mimicking host behavior as a defense mechanism or if the host is still trapped inside.
Well they're infected people, not actual zombies, so it lets you play around with it a bit more. Resident Evil actually dropped the ball, there, by not playing with that element nearly enough.
God I played it many times and never I stopped to listen how they say “please no”, scared the shit out of me rn 😂
High quality video clips, decent content, and best of all no annoying host talking throughout the whole thing. Good work.
Thank you :)
Old capt.eggselent....ey?
Cool
Not sticking to a list of old games like the people at Outside Xbox is a big plus. Elgh! :P
@@mazoteichhuanga4067 True
I never heard the first one. I was too busy stompin limbs of dead bodies so they wouldn't come back to life.
Haha makes sense lol, Isaac does a lot of shouting when stomping also 😄
As someone who knows very little about Dead Space, what Is the Ishimura?
@@hydrus2076 is the name of the ship the protagonist boards in the game.
@@frongss ah alright, thanks.
@@frongss since ive made this comment, i played Dead Space 1 And 2. Both amazing games, although theres a little too many cheap jumpscares.
The dying light one is much more depressing rather than creepy to me..
Last Of Us had it too. When a regular infected wad wounded they'd sometimes scream in agony or plead for their lives but ultimately they would snap right back into attacking, making killing them very hard since you can tell there's still some human inside.
Just like the hl2 zombies,
It is also very good at catching newer players off guard, even more so considering new players usually mash the attack button, which doesn't send them reeling backward, interrupt their movement, or stun them in any way, which is when they react like that. So it takes even longer to get used to it.
@Alejandro Márquez interesting theory
The reason why I'm nearly dead when playing these games. My too soft heart can't take it but better dead then suffer.
There's alot of creepy things even in reality like people believing the earth is flat
cow raiser Milton and thinking there’s more than two genders
Scorpion Hasahi and thinking that children are for care and love, but it’s just a mini pet that you can eat anytime to survive
r/cursedcomments
mind stinky
@@mlpaut1sm *pause*
Dead Space and it's Twinkle Little Star scared me a lot when I noticed it. So subtle yet terrifying.
Yeah hearing it again triggered many scary memories
what happened to that song?
After killing my hundred necromorph i found it quite annoying
Its so cliche that I didnt find it scary
What will terrify me is if they remove the music and just leave the voices there
Man, there's alot of *pumpkins* outside today.
Thanks for watching! :)
I like this video, no obnoxious
"HOW'S IT GOING GUYS HERE ARE SOME DETAILS THAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED OUT. AS ALWAYS DONT FORGET TO SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON AND CLICK THAT BELL ICON. LET'S GET STARTED......NUMBER 1"
because of this i smashed the like button
"HEY YO! WATS UP GUYS! ITS YA BOI HUMAN MAN WITH SOME SPICY NEW CONTENT! A BIG SHOUTOUT TO ANOTHER HUMAN FOR FINDING SOME OF THESE DETAILS! MAN, THESE DETAILS ARE REALLY FREAKING DOPE! AND YA GUYS BE SURE TO LIKE AND COMMENT ABOUT THE VIDEO. ALSO HIT THAT SUBSCRIBE BUTTON AND CHECK THE NOTIFICATION BUTTON TO HELP OUT A BROTHER! ALSO HERE'S A LINK TO MY DOPE ASS MERC!"
@@abishkarjungshah4539 These modern youtubers sound like their doing a bad Impression of a black guy.
You said it Brother
Seriously. This is why people like Funwithguru are so heavily appreciated.
These obnoxious assholes have never heard of ambience
So after all this time... I never realized that the monster i killed is screaming for help !? Thats... Depressing..
Yeah. The headcrab only uses the host's nervous system to move it's muscles whilst retaining most of the usual bodily functions including a hunting awareness which keeps most of the human brain intact for it's hunting instinct. :P
Reaper same with the flood in halo. When an elite gets infected, you can hear him yell “kill me brothers, don’t let me turn” before he breaks his own neck
@@phoenixsidepeen5468 Damn. :O
Kinda depressing to think about. To force suicide in order to prevent the flood from spreading.
Well at least you're putting them out of their misery
In general, we don’t go to ravenholm was just a creepy chapter
Another creepy detail in Dying Light? You can find sewer grates around the map where Virals and Volatiles can pop out from if there is a loud noise, but if you are quiet (and in the day) you can hear them screaming and howling down there. It's really disturbing, especially when you can hear a Viral (or a survivor trapped down there) screaming for help very faintly.
The crying baby one is more sad than creepy, but’s still creepy
Maybe there actually is a baby in there
@@heyj64 maybe
For some reason I thought it was from P.T.
@@Cutie__Bee i mean, recycled/multi-use or stock audio isn't uncommon in video games 🤷🏻♀️ i noticed that while playing Pokemon a while back, one of them's call is exactly the "bear" sound used on tv and etc
imo, crying babys are the 'cheap jumpscare' equivalent of a creepy atmosphere.
It's overused & seldom overdone as in Silent Hill P.T.
You noticed the fact that there is "Nicole is dead" message, but you completely missed the part that in every last four chapters spelling "dead" a key character dies.
For Dead Space, I like to think that it's Isaac Clarke losing his sanity and thinking it's his Girlfriend singing Twinkle Twinkle littler star.
I just want so say that I really appreciate the lack of commentary in this. No talk over, no “make sure to hit that bell button”, just the clean video game footage and a brief text explaining the context. Thanks man 👍
Also, PUMPKINS.
i wish that this was the norm
The lack of talking really does add to the atmosphere
great edit too, I think what adds to the atmosphere is the creepy alien isolation soundtrack that he uses when needed on clips, its a fucking great ambient creepy music, subtle but so effective
pumpkins
when the morning sunlight hits your eyes 9:08
Is this a meme
its Conan OBrien
more like 8:03
6:16 wasn't expecting that one. It freaked me out a little bit. Not gonna lie. What a game.
Ikr wtf
YES yeah exactly
9:26 yes, truly horrifying indeed.
The Arkham knight one is the best one . When I first discovered it , it was mindblowing. When infected every statue changes to joker in Gotham City . Then after sometime it changes back . It's amazing .
That ”NICOLEISDEAD“ made my jaw drop for a moment....
But is Nicole really dead?
@@bieszczadzkiearchiwa yep
@@bieszczadzkiearchiwa but one thing that probably happened is that we killed her during the gameplay in chapter 2
@@bieszczadzkiearchiwabut as a necromorph, of course
I never realised, that we have the answer right infront of our nose. After that, i will play Dead Space in a different way. Fuckin creepy...
The infected who act kind of human when hit in dying light are only the freshest zeds. The runners or whatever they're called. The one's who can match your speed, and perform parkour as good or better than you do.
These were explained to be the most newly infected if I remember right, so they perhaps would still carry a sliver of their humanity when shocked or stunned like that.
The dying light ones just sounds like they’re going out of character for a second.
I feel like it might be a glitch? Cause i don't think the zombies in dying light actually still have any feelings / conscience do they
@@xero9ravity150 it's not a glitch, the infected have fear but they dont have normal emotions. when they're scared for their life they panic
@@estatic6258 well shit...
@@xero9ravity150 Lots of wrong answers here. The infected that do what they do in this video are called virals. They've basically been infected for a short amount of time which is why they can run as fast as you, dodge attacks and climb buildings, and it's why sometimes they show very small glimpses of consciousness (basically what you see in this video). After they've been infected for a while they turn into regular infected who you can see everywhere and who just walk slowly, and lose every part of their humanity.
@@playerBT Or volatiles at volatile nests I guess? It would make sense that a zombie with most of it's protein intact be subjected to transformation/evolution instead of the empty husks that shamble around in the sun.
Spec ops the line’s story should be considered art the amount of small details that show the real story of the game is insane
Sam kelman i’ve never played it, what’s the significance of the eyes?
@@nayeonn1e It's just a small touch that goes well with the rest of the themes of the game. It's definitely worth a play, there really are no games like it and it's one of those games where it's unique _because_ of the fact it's a game and the things it does are only possible within a game. I recommend playing it in one sitting, that's the best way to experience it in my opinion.
@@thelittlesagg2 that, as much as it bodes well for the game, doesn't answer the question, would you mind saying? I'm curious too but I prefere different games.
@@Hangman-yq5uh The game looks like typical shoter and wants to fool you that's it is, but truly the game is about the horror of war and mental illness of people in it, the whole concept of the game is that you as Walker and 2 others, go on mission to rescue a survivor ops from Dubai. Dubai is destroyed by a sand storm, skyscrapers covered in sand etc. it's a no man land, so when you play it more you see that you are not a hero just another victim of war, I don't want to spoil the plot, because it's very good game, but if you want then
SPOILER
Later in game your friends die, but you through the whole game has a talking with a "ghost", truly with your own morality, you think you save someone but truly after the half of the game you kill more, by accident too, and when you talk with the guy that you need to safe, he is truly dead, so he is talking with himself whole story, thinking that he will safe his friend, and in finale you have option to kill the projection your hero created in his mind or kill yourself, there's a few choices, you can survive but go into madness or escape and try to help yourself, very imersive game, you can say that his friends never existed or that they did and died because of his mental health, that's truly is destroyed by the mission he needs to complete
@@Hangman-yq5uh
Spoilers
Walker and his squad are driven insane by the events they survive (and usually cause) while in Dubai, the cracked irises are a reflection of how broken they are on the inside.
Spec Ops: The Line is a deconstruction and criticism of the Modern Military Shooters of the 2010's like Battlefield, CoD and Medal of Honor. It takes tropes and scenes from those games and points out the real-world horrors of them.
One example is a scene where you find a massive encampment of enemy soldiers and (despite loud protesting from your team sniper) decide to carpet bomb them with White Phosphorous, whereupon you repeatedly bomb them with a UAV/satellite screen.
Once the dust settles, the game has you walk through the chaos and see the soldiers writhe in pain and beg for mercy/to be killed. Once at the end of the camp you find 42 civilian men, women and children who were being evacuated by the soldiers and were just burned to death by your squad's reckless use of WP (which is a war crime to use). The camera focuses in on a dead mother covering her dead child's eyes from the phosphorous and your squad argues in the background over whether they really had no other option.
The last of us: runers still have humanity and cry when eating close friends
"HELP ME"
is creepy af =(
i freak out the moment that Silhouette that looks like two alien shows up ,,
The Spec Ops The Line detail is kinda deep and sad.
And the isolation ambient still gives me the creeps.
So calming and at the same time it´s tensing you up.
That said eyes are a window....a reflection of the soul.....you could say they're souls are broken
@@medjed-boi897
Maybe that means there life was so tragic so they hadn't any chance just to go for military
Lol speak of the devil 😂😅
Thank you for creating an ambience instead of annoying commentary. That earns you an instant sub, man! Keep up the good work
Best detail channel!
Hell yeahh
should usr clinkz in hallowen
lil pone not true. Nemsk is better
The hl2 zombies send chills up my spine.
The half life 2 crying for help physically upsets me hearing it as it was recorded in reverse. Kudo's to the guy who recorded it lol
Those Arkham Knight ones actually got me (i had no idea they were in the game!)
Dead space was one of those games that was best experience with headphones in the dark. That lullaby that played when you sat idle in the main menu was the highlight
PUMPKIN
Thanks for watching! 🎃
"Pumpkin" 🤙yo I was expecting a lightning flash, THEN the hallucination at 8:50. Kind of spooked me 😄
Crap I never noticed the dead Elizabeths in the water!!! That was so creepy. Made me love Bioshock Infinite even more!
2:40 im not sure if this is meant to be sad or scary. im high rn
same dude
Same
Same
Suatt38 same
Lmao, pathetic people in this thread
Wow do you go through various video games just to look for details and all of that? That's impressive and I apprieciate the work and time put into this :)
Love these kinds of videos! You're the best
Thank you :)
awesome video, and in my personal opinion every battlefield 1 and 4 map is creepy to a degree if there are no sounds of war, seriously, go on operation locker solo and just roam around, every map feels soo abandoned, as if humanity disappeared and you are the last survivor
I really enjoy your videos, and they're very well structured. But a small thing that I think could improve them is including original sources as reference. For example, showing an image of a Xenomorph for the Alien: Isolation detail, or an image of Elizabeth for the Burial At Sea detail. Just in case viewers aren't familiar with what's being described.
In the same way as the Crabhead monsters in Half-Life 2, the regular Infected in "Left 4 Dead" and "Left 4 Dead" makes noises. But when you listen carefully, you can hear they're actually saying things.
Great video as always!
Thank you!
Man, would I like to hear the design team story behind the Alien Isolation one.
Pumpkin.
I'm enjoying this little attention game of your's Knightz.
You just gained a new subscriber.
Love your detail videos ! :)
Pumpkin lol 5:34 I'm definitely subbing i love the format.
Now I just feel like playing through Dead Space again... it's been wayyyy too long haha.
Awesome video bro! :)
*first 3 seconds of the game*
me: time to not sleep in the night
What first 3 seconds of game? The EA branding? Lmao. ;D
Good work on this man! Can't wait for more.
Dead space is being remade, but looking at this clip, I hardly think we need one. Now I feel like going in for another playthrough. Great video, thanks!
Really nice editing, pacing and animations. Top notch content
I seldom like videos in CZcams but this video deserved it! Highly detailed, great list and best of all no voice overs
Love these clips! Dead Space, Bioshock Infinite and Arkham Knight are my favorite games featured here.
The alien isolation one made me cream my pants mmmmmm the little details of level design is fantastic
Dreamiie ikr that’s why it’s like one of my favorite games
Forshadowing that stalks you at it's finest. ;D
Also in Spec Ops The Line, when you go far further into the story and the died, there is creepy loading screen about a mother singing lullaby to her children.
That bit in Dead Space with the candles and twinkle twinkle little star had me looking over my shoulder.
There are some really creepy aspects of Doom 3 aswell. Like the "They took my baby" part, footsteps in blood on the floor, the crying.
Dying light one makes me wonder, do those zombies still have their consciousness trapped in their body, waiting for physical trauma or something to bring it back/trigger it, or are they aware of what they are doing but they just can't control the virus.
just play the following and you'll understand
This deserves a part 2
Bioshock music room and half life ones were the creppiest since they literally were crying for help and the room one is just uneasy
What's so creepy about the music room?
I think the creepiest thing I found in a video game was in Red Dead Redemption 2, when you finally found the mysterious serial killer's cellar of horrors. That shit really creeped me out.
Great video!!
If you ever make a part two, I'd like to sugest an entry.
During the street section of Raccoon City, in Resident Evil 3 Remake, on the toy store, when Nemesis is watching creepingly through the window. That sh*t gave me nightmares.
Me: Alright I can do this. Just a video about spooky details in games, nothing too scary.
* First frames of the video is the literal definition of creepy *
Me: AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I love this video! Straight to the point and no unnecessary bullshit
Ok that HL2 one is just freaking awesome
As The Walking Dead has taught us, dumpsters are the greatest protection against zombie hordes.
Nigel I didn't expect hl2 to be on the list,
Spec ops the line scarred me for life. That game touched on a subject most games would never dare to touch. I loved the game
Big Love to the Alien OST in the background.
Happy Halloween😈😈
A good video...creepy😨😨
I just read the comments during videos like this at night. Keeps me safe
*jumps into dumpster*
Zombie: What is this deception!!?
It's a beautifully made video, thanks for providing such an entertainment 👍
The effort put into these is unbeliveable
That alien isolation one is fucking amazing level design
That baby crying would be creepier if it wasn’t used in that Kenny vs Spenny episode
Do more like this series and Sad Detail series please xD
Nice video, no annoying commentary, thumbs up
Really nice transitions
The HL2 one fills me with dread for some reason and always has
Wow!! This is actually a decent collection!!
I love pumpkins 👀
🎃Thanks for watching🎃
Like how you make videos
No intro
Straight to the point
👍
Keep it up on making more awsome videos.😀
My favorite two things of dead space is Issac breathing and him swearing when he stomps
I am carving my pumpkin right now.
Nice! 🎃
The bit around and mostly before 8:29 where the things say “was Oh my god” in reverse didn’t even sound like it was in reverse to me
Its spooky time two of my favorite things is here creepy thing and video games
What about that one quest you have in Watch Dogs where you find a dead body in the train tunnel? It was super creepy to me
When I discovered the Dying Light thing while playing I was like: I'm out.
What a perfect video, Bravo 👏
Thanks you!
With that Alien pumpkin ambient sound
Truly underrated channel
Thank you :)
Nice video!
Also pumpkin.
Most zombie titles don't explore the humanity left in a zombie which is really interesting
The bioshock ambience was INSANE!!!
Number 8: ambience is just slowed down music.
CZcams: ok that's fine.
Number 8: begins being sped up via editing.
CZcams: ok time to bring in the copyright claims.
Main Anna's revenge ended up massacre of alternate Annas is so fucked up and yet very compelling in her arc.
Awesome and Dark.
Finally, a good recommendation.
Cheater cheater PUMPKIN eater!! Love your vids! Thanks for the upload!
