it's like Undertale but Sans kills you either in the beginning of the game (before you meet the flower) or at the start of Snowdin (before you encounter his brother.)
God I wish I could play that save file would be awesome
@Greepa shut up
@Greepa no really? Say on god.
Kinda cool.
Honestly, an enemy that remembers their grudge against you, BEYOND deleting and creating new game saves, that just sounds like the natural escalation of concepts that, for instance, Undertale played with. In that game, they didn't push past the bounds of their individual save, but would acknowledge your actions in some instances. But it's especially eerie when it was never meant to happen.
Yup...kinda!
I'd actually like that too happen to me.

Oh my fuc-
@@DreadedEspresso A few weeks ago I had something similar happen where the steam audio player randomly started playing. But it was the payday soundtrack, not amnesia noises, that would have been impossible since amnesia has never been installed on that computer.

11 year old me and my cousin the same age would go to Family Video in his town a play the hell out of that game. I've been trying to get a cabinet of the game for a few years now.
I've seen Carnevil, never mustered up the courage to play it cuz I was young. I would just always see that cabinet being played at the town's movie theater everytime me and my siblings waited for our movie to start.
1:50 I've seen that model in The Witcher before. Its part of some shrines around the map. The wooden statue stands inside a hut thing. Its not creepy when its part of the shrine, but in appearing in the rat tower...
Ladies of the woods
Makes me wonder if it's one of those things like the statues in one of the Elder Scrolls. It's actually an NPC that's marked dead, but can be brought back with the console.
Maybe it was cut content, and something happened in this instance to load the model in with an alive state.
Yeah, I found it today while replaying - one of them is the shrine that marks the start of the Trail of Treats, and there's another one not far away that sits outside a locked hut in Crookback Bog.

Fucking beautiful.
Bruz has to be the most scariest thing I have seen, like imagine deleting a game file and you decide to make a new one, next thing you know you meet the same person from the last file that is now seeking revenge

I had an experience like that with far cry 2. I watched my dad play the game so I knew that the companions would attack you at the end of the game, when I started the game I intentionally got all of the companions killed. After I finished the game I started a new save. I was killed by some enemies which causes one of your companions to rescue and revive you, this time however as soon as my companion healed me they immediately shot and killed me. It's not her.
@@Tetsugakumono Why not? they establish that she's a physical entity later in the story
@@samundef3500 personally i dont think its here either, i thought it was her at first, but its mainly because of the height of the specter of the daughter. the daughter is easily at least nearly geralts height, and that thing is at least a foot and a half above geralt. she was established as a physical entity because she was freed from her curse, and then vanished. thats my opinion though, so i could be wrong
@@markrobertson1516 I don't think the figure is supposed to be proportionally correct. I think it's just to give the idea of "someone is here" if you see it. And she isn't freed. I forget what the name of the monster she turns into is, but it turns out she's evil and was looking for revenge on the man she used to love.
@@samundef3500 oh no yeah you're right actually, that's my mistake. She was a "Plague Maiden", but she couldn't die without her curse being lifted. I believe if you took the route of not delivering her remains to her love, she tries to kill you, and I think you lift her curse that way. I'm not too sure if that's right or not, since I've never went that way.

The thing with Bruz remembering is so chilling, and the fact that it sounds like a creepypasta, yet is mentioned in this and no one ever discovered this before, it just terrifies me.
Most creepypasta stuff I've personally have encountered was playing Sims 3. I made a Sim who looked like me, her make up changed again and again to some blood tears CC for no reason. So I would ocassionally find myself looking at a sim version of myself crying blood.

On the Polybius note, there was actually a pretty surreal arcade game that could very well be the inspiration for the urban legend.
Look for Cube Quest (1983), it's a pretty strange shoot 'em up with low pitched, almost subliminal sound effects and psychedelic backgrounds.
That unfinished area in the original FFXIV sounds like it could've been SE trying to remake the Gusgen Mines from FFXI, which was an abandoned mine full of (as you might guess) undead monsters, but it also had a lot of spooky ambience, such as ghosts of corpses you could only see from the right distance/angle and the occasional train horn as if the place was still running.

The Bruz one reminded me of something similar happening to me in Skyrim. I just got bored and basically felt like starting over but wanted to cause some mayhem before doing that so I just went around killing everyone and stealing everything. Then when I erased the save I made a brand new one and for some reason half the NPC's who could arrest the player, would charge at me the moment they see me. Since I hadn't done any crime I had no option to be willingly arrested or pay a fine, but everytime I see those NPC's I would get stopped for a crime but then nothing really happens. I'm sure someone else has said this, but I can't find any comments for it. Bruz is almost certainly an issue involving his character data persisting in memory. The player probably didn't restart their game -- so Bruz somehow persisted in memory and was able to spawn, which made him then persist in the save, which then causes everything else.
Having a character get stuck in memory like this seems like it shouldn't happen, but it's probably due to a very specific series of actions that the player took prior to starting a new game. e.g. getting the character data into some buffer that holds it for usage when spawning or something, which then allows the persistence effect in a new game because the buffer is never cleared.
Honestly, it isn't _too weird_ that this happened, but the fact the game somehow handled this without corrupting the save is interesting. Lots of games have persistence across new games like this, usually unintentionally, but this is a fairly substantial instance of it.
Seeing Badland Chugs being played in Camdrone completely kills the whole creepy vibe it had going for
Regarding the first Witcher one, I started playing this finally and when this mission popped up, I was reminded of this. I had forgotten about the disembodied grunt.
Here’s the thing, it’s not disembodied. There’s an invisible NPC there and she’s grunting because you bumped her. I saw her “invisible” necklace floating in my game as I bumped her around. I thought it was my graphic setting, or perhaps the NPC is randomly generated and I lucked out. I see, however, that it’s visible in this video, too. I’m only speculating, but maybe that’s Annabelle’s character and that’s what they did instead of despawn it for some reason.
I’m sure there’s a comment that covers all of this somewhere in the comment bowels, but I didn’t see it and thought it was interesting at least.
I had a similar thing happen twice in my Witcher 3 Switch playthrough, but the invisible characters were in different locations. I think it's just a random bug where invisible NPC's spawn randomly.
G. Wells oh wait, yeah youre right the one with the cookies on it right?
Actually I'm starting to think that the invisible npc you "bump" into is actually just a placeholder npc for Keira whenever she calls you on the Xenovox. I noticed that when I first arrived on the island and she contacted me, I heard a terrified scream after her dialogue, that you commonly hear when an npc encounters a monster. This means that an invisible npc spawns near you whenever she talks through the xenovox, which makes sense considering dialogue usually needs a source in typical game coding.
There's a whole mission about the tower being haunted by a woman though. It's not a mystery. It's part of a quest.
@@grandbean9031 yea there’s a side quest where Geralt has to eliminate the curse of the tower and kill the ghost but there’s no mention of a statue of a creepy tall women, that’s the scary part
07:00 That shadow of war thing is most probably just a bug. U want to explore the creepy thing with bruz?
After u completed his quest (Where u unlock the 'worse than death' upgrade) There will be a chance for two ologs to ambush u in rapid succession, Baz and Gaz (Bruz's "Blood-bros" i guess). If you shame them relentlessly until they became deranged there's a unique type of "deranged personality" that they'll get. Unlike the others who would just scream, hiss, laugh maniacally, or shout something over and over again when deranged, Gaz is now under a dreamlike state in which he believes that he's Bruz, saying the quotes "Hey, i'm Bruz. Have we met before" in a creepily calm and tender tone. Baz on the other hand becomes twitchy and is now under the delusion which he believes that Bruz is still alive and is doin fine, quoting stuff like "Bruz is fine, was just talkin to Bruz. He's fine as ever.", and if you manage to get the "monologue before execution" (Idk what it's called), he'll say "It's fine, at least it's not Bruz"
Didn't TearOfGrace get both of those encounters? I swear I was just watching his playthrough and having a good time and then that happened and I was just like "That's messed up... even more so than the other times you break people's minds."
wat
The Bruz one is so haunting to me considering the full context
[Spoilers for shadow of war] at the end of bruz's plot thread, you shame him into insanity to make an example of him for his betrayal. And based on the info odd gave about the save, this player hunted down Bruz repeatedly in his game to shame him over and over after he was already mad until he dropped deeper into insanity to the point of becoming a Maniac, and this messed bruz up so much he lost all verbal functions and all he had on ruined mind was revenge. A vengeance so burning he defied being deleted to hunt the player down. Thats some creepy pasta stuff and the exact kind of insane stories i love to see come out of the nemesis system, whether intentionally implemented or not
When I saw FFXIV I was expecting the Edda ghost, but was pleasantly surprised to see something from the game's less-so-stellar past
1:43 Geralt: It's behind me isn't it
Lmao
The witcher glitch model is actually a model from the quest ladies of the wood. There was this statue geralt came across while finding crones of crookback borg
I was literally just playing the witcher 3 and i had the ghost lady appear for a split second right in front of me, frightened me a bit lol
@@sardonicsnake11 dude omg lol haha yeah that totally happened to me too!and she told me "uninstall"XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I saw it at the well during the mission "bloody baron"
@@sardonicsnake11 I actually just did this quest today, luckily I didn't notice anything just thought it was weird timing that I played that quest and then see it mentioned in this video.
You would think with all of their cybernetic technology the Borg would be able to correct a crooked back...
Oh wait, wrong Borg. My bad.
Man, the one with Bruz the orc dude is probably the closest thing we can get to rogue A.I., or maybe something like Monika from ddlc
2:58 the computer is POSSESSED by the ghost of a history teacher! 😂😂🤣🤣
Meanwhile, 11 years later and I'm over here still wondering about Asylum on World at War. The piano and that damn bathroom man.
😂
Verrückt? Shit's creepy lol
the most scary of em all
The Shadow of War one is some true creepypasta shit
I know
*"You tortured me, (insert name), you can't erase your past"*
(Bruz proceeds to mutilate Talion well beyond the usual in the game)
@Marisa Nya Could he follow you even to Gensokyo?
If glitch-Bruz kills you it deletes your save!
Then... he shows up across the street from your house. Bathed in *hyper-realistic* blood... He's come for YOU!
The fact you said hyper realistic blood makes it even more scary 0o
The fact that an NPC survived deletion and attacked the player in a new save is actually terrifying.
I used to get random thunderstorm sounds when I left steam open too long. Also, I feel like the odd head was a dev using invisibility to follow him around.
that wouldn't work tho, would it?
since he was running it on a private server an admin should have access to it
Just when I think I've seen all the creepy mysterious shit video games have to offer, my boy oddheader uploads some new content. You're one of my favourite CZcamsrs man, love your quality work! And happy Halloween y'all
oddheader is my favorite black youtuber. *
Can you recommend these kind of creep vids on other channel? Not mean to be rude, I like Odd too, just that I need more XD
@@wylsonagustino7947.
I agree. I've heard of a LOT of creepy video game stuff but every single thing in this video was new to me. Super high quality content here.
I agree aswell
I too recall hearing out of place female grunts in the rat tower in Witcher 3... I just chalked it up to some audio glitch.
The removed 'tallwoman' is a legit kinda creepy discovery.
It’s probably 8 ft. tall. There’s some japanese legend.
And there's a hentai made in its honor...
As someone who is a long-time player of FFXIV, I can assure you that ARR was not produced to "forget about" anything. 1.0 is the foundation of the story in the game, and is referenced constantly.
Not even kidding on the Witcher 3 one, my power went out just as you got a clear view of it
I can’t believe a 4 year old kid was the only one good enough to find a Easter egg XD
Those footstep sounds in the cave in FFXIV remind me of something that happened to me in Rayman 3. The level "The Longest Shortcut" has no enemies in it at all, but there's one tall, narrow room in the level where I keep hearing mysterious grunts, snorts and other noises. I first noticed it when I was six years old, and I still hear them every time I play the level (it's a childhood favorite so I replay it every now and then). The Rayman series, and that level in particular, is strange enough that it could very well be part of the soundtrack for some reason, but it still creeps me out a bit to this day. What made it even more disconcerting to me as a child is that in that particular section of the level the wall is a mirror, and you're climbing to the top by jumping on invisible platforms that can only be seen in the reflection, having to start over if you touch the floor. When I first heard the noises, I was convinced that there was some invisible creature moving around below, waiting to catch me if I fell. I've explored the whole room thoroughly now as an adult, and I can still hear the sounds, but there's absolutely nothing there.
Edit: just took a listen and some of the sounds are indeed part of the soundtrack (track 109), but I swear I heard something more as a kid... Oh well. Myth busted. For now.
Interesting in conducting an "investigation" please reply with further details but that's very detailed
Dude, that would be freaky! Especially as a kid. I mean you found out the truth but still freaky. This is something silly but when I would make Halo 3 forge maps with my friend, I swear I would hear creepy weird noises on the Foundry map. It was usually when my friend would leave to go do something but I don’t think she ever heard it when she was there.
But what about the ghost head? Guessing that was just edited in by the guy who made the original video, right?
@@atonedudeatsnotsubscribed8313 sorry for the late reply! It definitely seems to me now that I'm looking into it again that it's just some weird noises, possibly maracas, in the song itself. If you're still curious though I remember it being in the second level of that world, I think in that room where you enter on a narrow walkway and the floor is a mirror showing you the platforms you need to use to climb up.
For the Final Fantasy XIV mystery, the layout looks similar to the A Realm Reborn dungeon, Snowcloak, and given that it's in Coerthas (same place as the dungeon) that's likely a very early version that was reused. As for the footsteps and floating head, I have 0 clue what that could be... likely a Kharazan Crypts of FFXIV at the time.
The petrovic one would probably now saw “Kobe”

Peter Griffin: "AAH AH AH!!! He said it! He said the thing!"
Haha I love the ai Orc one! It's hilarious how it refuses to accept deletion.
The steam noises one is terrifying. I'd lose sleep over that.
I love it when there is some creepy shit that you think there's no way, it's too specific to be a glitch etc, but then some internet expert gives a perfect explanation
A game boss that breaks ALL logic and remains in a gane after being freakin DELETED FROM EXISTENCE?! That's scary
if that happened in astral chain to me
the axe legion would be out do fast that i'm never putting it away, considering the fact that the axe legion is both the most strongest and has a shield, it'd be perfect for something like that
The idea of something like that is low-key scary as hell. And I'm very certain that it was done on purpose by the developers.
Modern games have some obscure directories with backup saves which aren't deleted even when you delete the main save or something like that. I once tried to delete my newest save in Batman: Arkham Knight to go to the older one, and found multiple folders with saves, and even after deleting them ALL just for test the game still somehow had it saves intact (even despite it wasn't connected to Steam, yes it was a pirated version, not proud of that, not regretting either).
Sounds like the Nemesis System worked a little too well
Maybe that's why the nemesis system was recenty copywritten so nobody else can use it.
Imagine chilling in your house and you see Bruz standing outside your window
@@RandomHandleLol1738 "bro i didnt do anything to you"
Bruz: "oh shit wrong address"
The SoW one is terrifying in a uniquely existential and unknown way.
The idea of an AI walking around in your game with a vengeance ready to strike at a moments notice would have me sketch as fuck.
The Shadow of War one sounds like a creepypasta material.
the written material from the site is actually pretty funny and creepy
Reminds me of Nes Godzilla Creepypasta's Red
What even triggered that? Obviously some sort of save data carried over that wasn't supposed to.
Yup, absolutely , lol . Damn , does any of the developers heard about that ?? That's freakinglish awful
@@bunnicula7414 Maybe the nemesis system is stored in an other file than the save data.
“Camdrome” seems to be a fairly obvious reference to the film “Videodrome”. One of the most famous and recurring visuals in the film is a “breathing tv” that the protagonist travels inside.
Could be a pretty dope game.
and also Badlands Chugs is in it. chugging milk
