So I just bought my first chore coat, the midnight cord ojai jacket from Taylor Stitch. I got an XS (36) because that's what the size finder recommended, the measurements seemed right (if not just slightly big), and I have another Taylor Stitch shirt in XS that fits great (with room to spare tbh). That said, when I put it on, it feels and looks great, but when I raise/stretch my arms above my head, the sleeves come down to ~2.5 inches below my wrist. The shoulder pinch up as well (dunno if that's the correct term). I can still touch the top of my head, drive my car, and even give a hug while wearing the jacket plus 2 layers underneath, I might just need to shake my sleeve back in place after stretching upwards. I'm used to lighter, stretchier, looser fitting, more sporty jackets I guess and dunno if this is just normal for a corduroy chore jacket to be a bit stiff since I know some nicer jackets are supposed to restrict your range of movement just a bit. Some feedback would be appreciated.
Hello I have a questions, the modern one have a slim sleeves? May i ask what is the width of the sleeve at biggest part and smallest part as well? I’m looking into one and I want to see if the sleeve have same width so I can get the same fit as yours
Thanks Cameron, as always a great and informative video. I noticed your Leica camera. Really cool. I'm from Germany, but I've only had an old one in my hand so far and don't know much about the new ones. Yours is one of the new ones as far as I can tell, isnt it? I've been following you for a while but haven't found anything about it. Do you have an experience report on the camera? And: Where did you buy it plus did you buy a new or used one?
Hey Aaron, thanks for following along. The camera is an old Leica M6 TTL. It's a film camera I love to use. I bought it from a UK based ebay seller and the lens I bought online as well, both obviously second hand. Hope that helps?
Hey Cameron. I come back to this video a lot, so thanks. Currently trying to find sizing info on Le Laboreur's cotton drill workwear jacket, but it seems they don't have a website. Any idea om where to find this?
Hi Cameron, I tried looking for the 1C55/5C on the Vetra e-shop, but that particular article number did not turn up.. could it be the 1C45/5C in the "hydrone" colour? Many thanks 👍🏻
Hey Rudy, It is around. maybe out of stock on Vetra or maybe email them. For example you can get it here: dicks-edinburgh.co.uk/products/vetra-1c55-5c-navy-mens-jacket Good luck!
@@CameronO found it, still a bit on the pricey side.. 😆 Found a seller on Etsy based in the UK that sells their version for £100 less, not made in France though. But they're sold out! Buying the Vetra is like spending 800 quid of my money. It would be fascinating if you did a comparison review between the Vetra and the ones from Wolf Vintage Clothing.. to see what we get for our hard-earned cash 👌
Lovely to look like working people aye! Great to look like, yet still great to look down on those who do, am i right? What a deal! I do worry about leaning against a brick wall time to time. After all i did do a weekend course in wood turning and i want to become a chippy, well aesthetically at-least.
Hey, you mock, but after 20+ years of use I sold my old worn out (literally ripping every time I wore it) Newlyn smock for more than I paid for it to some fashionista on EBay. Had enough for a new one from Captain Curry.
Shoulder fades after time if you wear something long enough that’s what happens especially if you actually work for a living! Sitting against a wall? Comon man do some research

Great comparison video!
i am on a "made in UK" kick. more out there than you think and might be worth an episode?
Love the attention to detail and quality of video. Only a matter of time until this channel blows up
Thanks mate, really appreciate it. Glad you're enjoying the vids!
I love a chore jacket
Thanks Kat!
Would love to see an update of the modern vetra jacket! New vid idea?
Beautiful, I’m looking into one and you inspired me
No problems mate. I hope I've helped you decide. They are great and stand the test of time!

Hope you can reply :) thanks so much
@@khaingyn5166 Hello Khai. It is roughly 13cm on the sleeve opening and about 20cm at the shoulder/top of the sleeve. Hope that helps!
Thank you!! That help so much :) and you would say the vintage one fit more relax on arms?
Pretty interesting how the USMC P41 HBT jacket is styled exactly the same
I'm also facing the same conundrum 42 vs 44. What are your body measurements? What is the armpit width of your size 44 garment? Thank you Cameron
Hey Alex, I'll need to check later this week. You mean measurements for the new one right? The Vetra?
@@CameronO yes please, the Vetra one
I am interesred too!!

Hi Cameron. I'm trying to size up one for myself. Could I ask your measurements for reference?

Chill out, life's to short. They are not work jackets anymore, they are a style of yesteryear. Now its more a fashion piece.

What's up Eddie Hearn
Normally, u should wear it on your back.

Will do my friend. Have a good one!
