      @SuperTroy18 Před 5 lety

      Seeing the play again, sure. His foot hits the pylon. The pylon is “technically” Out of bounds. The ball was not at the goal line. I bet even most refs think the pylon is part of the goal line. The kid scored. It’s a game where there are ridiculous rules. Imaginary goal lines. A few weeks ago, a Gators kicker hit a FG that was called no good because the entire ball has to be inside the post, and his kick was over the post. I felt guilty about it, because my team took advantage of the rule. I still think it probably should’ve counted.
      Yes. Ducks should’ve still taken the ball and gotten in. They choked the game away.
      Looks like LOTS of Stanford fans are defensive as Hell about this. Keep rationalizing the call. Whatever helps ya sleep at night. If this had happened to my team, and we got away with that call and won, like Stanford did, I’d feel guilty as Hell.

    Everyone who is here to pile on Cristobal after Miami blew the game against GT cannot do simple math. the overwhelming majority of teams would do the same thing as Cristobal and run on 2nd & 3. STANFORD HAD A TIMEOUT. if oregon doesn't fumble, they call the TO w/ about 55 seconds, and now it's 3rd down. kneel down + maximum time milked off, now it's 4th w/ about 12 seconds to go, and oregon has to either punt, FG, or try to burn 12 seconds in 1 play. that is an ENTIRELY different situation than what happened against GT, in which the clock goes to zero if miami kneels down one more time

      Even is pass interference had been called on that play, it would have just moved the ball down to the 10, which Oregon did on the next play anyway for first-and-goal from there. And yes, the announcer was surprised it wasn't called, but it turned out to be moot.

      @@_JellyDonut_ how about addressing the point instead of talking about Britney. That call was all time highway robbery. Your argument is?

      The call was correct. The instant his foot touched the pylon in mid-air, he was out of bounds and the play was dead. At that instant, the ball was in his left arm, still a yard from the goal line. It did not break the plane of the goal line before he was out of bounds by kicking the pylon.

    I absolutely went through the roof after that TD called back but 99% sure now it was correct. Stanford did not deserve to win this game nor did they win it. It was absolutely gift wrapped and given to them. game over if we come away with something when down on the 1 yard line. Sucks

      Stanford was still down 10 points at Oregon with only 1 1/2 quarters left. Their offense did a hell of a job and the defense was even better. This shows Stanford can compete with explosive offenses like Oregon
