Words cannot describe how much they mean to me, and how grateful I am they exist. What a beautiful, inspiring story about healing, and connecting, and growing together.

This is six seasons overdue, so I'm going to go overboard with words. Read them only if you know and love this show lol
The best SH adaptation, hands down.
Here, not everything revolves around Sherlock Holmes. Here, he isn't the sole reason the story exists. Here his brilliance isn't the be-all and end-all. Here, he learns to appreciate other people rather than labelling them all as idiots. Here he is capable of kindness. Here he is forced to acknowledge his failings, to admit others have something to teach HIM. And it all starts with his drug addiction, which isn't glamourized, or depicted as a super power for his work, but truly presented as the disease it is. His sobriety is something that requires work, and committment, something that he isn't better equipped to deal with just because he's smarter than everybody else. And Watson. She first comes into his life as a sober companion, and then turns into a detective in her own right, as Holmes recognises not only the value of her imput to his work, but her skills as well, enough that she could make a career of it. She is not there merely as a sidekick for Sherlock to bounce ideas at. She can work indipendently from him. She steps out of the caretaker job she's introduced as. She is kind and thoughtful, but never self-abnegating to his wishes. In fact you could say it's the exact opposite. It's HIM that would gladly die for her (his words), he doesn't even consider himself WORTHY of her love and affection.
And maybe, altough it isn't as glaringly obvious as it is where Sherlock is concerned, she is just as broken as he is. She needs his support as much as he needs hers, maybe more. Even when she doesn't say it. And he is able to do that for her, has done so multiple times (and the finale was just a big confirmation of that). He anticipates those needs she can't truly voice herself. And what gets the most, he is able to articulate his feelings for her TO HER with the vulnerabily and openess that she, in contrast, isn't quite as good at expressing herself, or won't let herself express. She's more guarded than he is, doesn't quite know how to react to Sherlock wearing his heart on his sleeve for her. And I find that atypical and refreshing and beautiful.
At the end of the day, theirs is a relationship between equals, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. They're continually negotiating the terms of their partnership as they grow as people. It's an ever-evolving relationship. She challenges him and he her. She provides him with the tools to be a little more attuned with the world around him, and in exchange he teaches her to accept and love her own unconventionality. It's a mutual give and take as they learn from each other. And all that without falling into easy romantic cliches. Elementary did that.
I'll stop now, I apologize. I just. Love them with all my heart.
It makes me sick this show is ending after the 7th season one of the best shows on TV not only is it brilliant the way he solves things but the relationship between the two such a great friendship and love and doesn't have to be sexual maybe someday but it just shows you show can be that way and I don't understand some of the crap that's on TV and gets renewed one of my favorite shows ever I will so miss it as I know many other Elementary fans will! will be a sad day!!
Same here. Don't understand how some of these shows get renewed and the cerebral, intellectual stuff here just doesn't get enough love.
I very much agree. Whenever anybody asks which adaptation of sherlock is the best, i tell them this is. It's the best one. Sherlock's character development is beautiful and Joan's too. I just love the overall growth of the characters and their relationships. ❤
And I love the more diverse portrayal of NYC. The diversity of the population across race, profession, and class. So many shows portray NYC as filled with UES old or new money and mostly WASP whites while NYC is so much more ethnic white, with a healthy proportion of Latinos, blacks, Asians, and Middle Easterners.

Agree he is amazing as Sherlock! So much better than BC even though I like him but Jonny just captures the brilliance,the quirkiness while putting up a wall but letting u glimpse inside! He is so good! Adorable too! Live Watson being a female & their chemistry is undeniable!!
As a fan of the show, a lover of music and an avid student of media I have to tell you just how wonderful this video is. The way each element plays into each other fits fantastically and encompasses who they are and I hope you get so many more views on this because it is breathtaking - I can guarentee a few of them shall be me. There is a love there between them and of yours for the show that is so obviously shown that I can't not tell you. My verbal kudoses for you time and time again :)
That finale was so beautiful! I'm a little mad that it got another season because that ending was the epitome of their relationship and everything they've gone through and that would have made for a fantastic series finale. Just don't know how they'll top that. Seriously, beautiful job on this video!

The video truly captures Sherlock and Watson friendship. I hope season 7 is worth watching as season 6 ended perfectly.The best part of the show was watching how Sherlock and Watson relationship grew.The video was perfectly put together. It was a pleasure to watch.
This video is the perfect encapsulation of Joan and Sherlock, and everything Elementary meant to me. They have such a profound; beautiful and intimate relationship. I miss them so much. I wish we got to see more of these two. They worked so beautifully together, and totally brought these character to life. I could go on for ages about them.

I think this show did such a great job showing that a man and woman can be friends and have a deep and meaningful love and bond without it being romantic. I loved the way Mycroft said “I think she’s the person you love most in the world.” And it was really true, above everyone else, Moriarty, Mycroft, even Kitty, He loved Joan most.

I'm a huge fan of the show and this relationship is what makes me come back season after season. There's a warmth, humanness, vulnerability in this relationship that makes you ache for one such relation in your life. TV is vicarious living after all I guess.

ok so i obviously know about this show and these two but never has something captured me and kept my attentions for them as your video just did. It was utterly beautiful, the way you showed their growth together and how they both make the other better (especially Joan helping Sherlock more than he ever thought anyone would ever be able to help him). This is a song (about somebody else) that no matter how many times it comes on shuffle i love it like it the first time im listening to it and I find a lot of vidders use it in a way that doesnt fit with what the song is about but of course, you perfectly captured the theme of the song using these two and their relationship to each other! i didn't even realise this was an almost 5 minute video, it all went so smoothly and you told their entire relationship so perfectly??? Also, all the voiceovers!!! but particularly the ones at the end!!! Yeah i deffo need to add this show to my (very long) watch list now
