Nerd city was spot on about the culture of Twitter around the reaction to Tates arrest. His detractors only cared about dunking on him and his fan base all of the sudden were legal experts trying to point out all the possible flaws in detaining him. But is this truly surprising to anyone that the actual issue of the victims gets lost in this? If there's one thing I learned from the tenure of the Trump presidency until now, it's that everyone just cares about their side getting W and not the issue at hand. It's why social media is such a cesspool now.
you're making the assumption that there ARE victims. You're just as bad as the arm chair legal experts you mentioned. The lack of self awareness by EVERYONE, apparently including yourself as well is what amazes me. Just Because "one victim" "came foward" and accused an extremely wealthy man of a crime where monetary gain is involved that somehow proves them automatically correct? So weird. This new internet world is so damn weird to me because the level of critical thinking involved to process logic like i just did now (which is not much) seems so elementary to me but seems nearly impossible to everyone else? Sometimes I think I'm the only person in the world capable of something that should be learned in elementary school.
Tf you think the detractors gonna do? Personally fly over to Romania and try to help these victims? A legal case is being built and very little info is available to the public, no dip that all people are going to do is dunk on him.
@@solairedude7119 This, I don't agree with the argument "reddit/twitter people calling out something but not doing anything" that Pyro or Nerd usually uses because people like Tate could get away with shitty behaviour and their controversies eventually getting drowned out if nobody was talking about it. We need more people calling them out for their behaviour even if they're not directly contributing it.
Like another commenter said, it's important to talk about bad people doing bad things so that it gets big enough to the point they get heard by people who are actually willing to take action.

In the articles it references 5 victims that had come forward. It's probably a bit more then one victim coming forward when there's been a long investigation that leads to an arrest, especially in Romania. It's a tad ironic you're on your high horse when you don't even know what you're talking about.

ive heard some pretty bad stuff about the Romanian police so im sure he got out pretty quick, if not hes getting good treatment behind bars
He was only in for a day because it wasn't a full arrest. Just a day of detainment and questioning. Who knows where it'll go from here though. Hopefully something more conclusive.

I don't really think there's something wrong with pointing out some "radicalizer" being pathetic, specially when his whole brand is being "alpha" spotlighting his insecurity in a tweet doesn't seem like it would help him much. Though I cant speak to the result (him getting positive attention) I can't really see the responding to him as such a terrible Idea.
On people not caring about the actual crimes and victims, I may be too cynical about this, but I just feel like this is how it is with disturbing crimes in general, the public glances at it, offers sympathy with varying degrees of sincerity and then moves on cause looking at it isn't productive or fun. I'm probably uninformed but, When was the last time a tragedy on this scale hit the mainstream without being attached to a celebrity?

They knew he was in Romania, but maybe not where. By knowing the time he got pizza delivered you could inquire that delovery service to get his actual ADDRESS. I see your brain is on airplane mode if you couldn't see that this is a possibility.
Way I interpreted it was that they did know he was in the country but the pizza box was the final amount of proof they needed to legally be allowed to go after him.
